    Harvest moon roll
    Ellery D.

I hadn't eaten here in around 10 years, and I think I was a bit harsh last time. Allow me to update things... I recently brought a sushi-loving friend there for lunch and we had a great meal. The atmosphere is peaceful, cozy, and pleasantly dim. I don't remember what my friend had but he seemed to enjoy it. I got mixed veggie and shrimp tempura and a harvest moon roll--both delightful. The harvest moon was nice and plump with crispy tempura sweet potato inside. Came with plenty of wasabi and ginger. The veggie and shrimp tempura was a "small" but a rather generous helping nonetheless. Came was a savory/sweet dipping sauce. Service was spotless... no complaints this time around. I really need to eat here more often.

Cant remember which this is but it was incredible. Caterpillar roll perhaps?

I have been coming to this establishment since 2005. Consistent quality and wonderful staff! I really miss their pickled garlic they used to have. The ambiance hasn't changed much in 20 years. They have W&Sat "$1 sushi" and great lunch specials. As you can see from the photos I'm a creature of habit with that Gilroy Maki, but anytime I try something new it doesn't disappoint!

Tempura was a huge portion and pretty good. There were about half a dozen prawns and lots of vegetables and the batter was light, so no complaints about it. We also ordered a Rock and Roll ($6.50 on the special menu), a Rainbow Roll, a Sweet Potato Roll, a tekka maki, and an eggplant nigiri. While the rolls were tasty enough, the rice was a bit mushy. The best of all of them was the Rock and Roll. The included ginger was delicious, but I wish they were more generous with it; only two of us ate it and there wasn't really enough (there were 3 of us). Service was very slow and the tempura that was ordered as an appetizer didn't come until very late. Other people who came after we were seated got their food way before we got ours, including an order of tempura!

Our server was very attentive and sweet. A cozy local spot in Sebastopol. Yummy food !

Placed an order for pick up and the food was ready fairly fast. We've had two times in a row now that they make our food wrong so made sure to check the main course and while that was right we were annoyed to say to least to see that they packed us a soup with a faulty lid so a soup completely emptied into the to go back making the other soup containers get mushy as well. Can't seem to come here without something going wrong with us unfortunate because we do like the food here.

Service has been gracious with us each time and provided helpful suggestions when needed. Highlights for us is usually the lemongrass chicken. Definitely on point and the light sweetness from the sweet and sour is great. The crust is always nice and crunchy, and we've found it is easy leftovers with an air fryer. We also got the green curry to try something different and the pad thai for something the same. The pad thai is still a solid choice as everything mixes well. The green curry was great for a vegetarian dish. Probably our favorite part for it was the purple sweet potato which just melted with the sauce.

Decided on this place as it had good reviews, I thought the PHO was very good, the spring rolls were kind of typical but there was only two things that my husband and I left questioning. The first thing which has nothing to do with the food quality or atmosphere, was the gentleman that was helping us . He was very stoic and spending more time chatting with his coworkers than paying attention to us. We had to gently grab his attention numerous times for almost everything we needed. But the biggest drawback? The price. It was the most expensive Vietnamese place I think I've been to? Admittedly I got the filet mignon pho which was somewhat unique to me, the meat was very tender, it was very good but I think I paid about $24 for a medium bowl of soup. My husband said that his chicken PHO was nothing special. Spring rolls, again, good but basic, would I go back? Probably not. But, I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for filet mignon as an option for my soup in the future.

The service is quick and attentive, without feeling rushed. The menu offers a wide variety of Southeast Asian dishes that are authentic, fresh, and booming with flavor. My favorite dish is the coconut chicken noodle soup because the broth is rich and creamy with a depth of coconut. I love that you can mix and match different noodle options with your choice of soup base. The Thai tea I ordered was another standout, not watered down or overly sweet. Just the right balance. Nicely decorated with the wall of bowls, shelf of lit up spirits and open kitchen. It's been over a year since I've dined here. Always Adam of Chef Tony's restaurants. We had back near the kitchen. Drink orders we taken right away, appetizers ordered once drinks were delivered. We needed extra time to decide on entrees because one of us were undecided. Everyone enjoyed their meals: Crispy Taro Rolls, Little Baskets, English Cucumber + Avocado Salad, Khao Piak Special, Duck Confit Noodle Soup, Spicy Curry Noodle Soup, Pork Belly Rice Bowl, Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai. We had a few different servers and service could have been better. We had to ask for more drinks and utensils. I didn't like that 20% gratuity was added to the bill, especially when service wasn't stellar. Food is still excellent.
