Bento Box (Pick 2) and Avocado Roll
    Emi E.

The server took our orders, but our food was actually brought over by a robot which was super cool! We went around 6 pm on a Sunday and the downstairs tables started to fill up as we ate. It was fun watching the robots deliver food to the other tables too. They had an entire menu page dedicated to vegetarian sushi rolls. I got the avocado roll and another roll with carrot, sweet potato, and asparagus, but there were plenty of other options to choose from. We also ordered the "pick 2" bento box which was much bigger than expected and came with miso soup. A great value and fun dining experience overall!

Went to eat here while I was in downtown. Sushi was great! The roll was really big! So I got pretty full with one. I got the king salmon roll with crab in it. For an appetizer I got the calamari, it was a little on the salty side but it was good. The sauce it comes with was also a good dip. You get your food served by a robot to the table. It was pretty quiet in there and the place looked clean! Will be going back to try other rolls.

Bento box with teriyaki chicken and salmon sashimi

This place is a lot bigger on the inside, don't let the exterior fool you!! When you enter, they have high tables on the right and booths around the corner on the left, as well as upstairs seating which is likely only open when they are super busy. They also have some limited outdoor seating. Servers come around to take orders, but our food was brought over by a robot which was super cool! I got their bento box, which was a great size for the price!! The portion of teriyaki chicken was very generous, but the sauce was thinner and less sweet than a traditional teriyaki sauce. The salmon sashimi was super fresh and thickly cut, and they even gave a couple more pieces than what is listed on the menu!! Overall it was a great experience and I'll be coming back to try out more of their expansive menu!

I came here today to get food to go.I got the two items bento box with teriyaki salmon and a California roll The meal comes with miso soup and salad and rice.yummy.The employees are really nice as well

The Dragon Roll presentation is spot on and the spice level mild.

I highly recommend doing a little homework with the menu before you head in, it's enormous!! The servers are awesome and definitely know their menu and can make great recommendations but it's still one of the hardest decisions we've made in a long time!! We each got one of the Specialty Rolls, hubby got the Dragon Roll and I got the Babymia Roll. Not only did they arrive quickly, the presentation was beautifully done. The Dragon Roll was mildly spicey, fresh and delicious. The Babymia Roll was divine!! The crunch of the macadamia was completely unexpected but delightful and the spice level was on point!! We enjoyed everything about this downtown sushi spot and will return very soon!

This spot is super cute! It's a bit on the pricier side, however my partner who is more of a sushi fanatic than I am informed me that everything in these rolls was super fresh. I did like how they were generous with their miso soup it came in a much bigger bowl than other sushi restaurants. The potstickers were really good as well and they had this great crunch to them. Now I tried both the volcano roll and the woman power roll and I have to say although they were good. They were difficult to eat because the sushi was more like a tower based on how much ingredients were on top of both items. I was expecting more depth of flavor tbh. But unfortunately I did not get that. Give or take I will admit I like my sushi on the bold flavor side, where the flavor is really present. Like first bite. Now service was pretty great. Our server was very attentive and she offered recommendations which was appreciated. I think if you're into fresh sushi this is the spot to go to, but try other rolls as I felt the volcano and woman rolls were very similar in taste. If I return, I'd definitely try something different.

I like this place. The food is fresh, delicious, and clean. It's reasonably priced, and the service is good.

What a cool place. I a convenient location downtown, we arrived about 5. It was quiet and inviting. The waitstaff was kind courteous and informed on the various menu items. We were offered to make any 'changes' to the combos - which is great for me, I can't eat shrimp. It was delivered by both robot and waitstaff. Promptly and perfect temperature. The sushi chefs were hard at work the entire visit, as the place filled up. The sashimi salad was absolutely delicious! I will definitely order that, and bring a friend, there was enough for two! The various sushi's we ordered were yummy as well. Love mango, unagi, Philadelphia roll, tuna and avocado rolls. Definitely recommend!!

Clean, open seating area. Sushi bar and regular bar. Some tvs on one side and indoor/outdoor seating on the other side. I've been here a few times and the food is consistently good. A friend and I and her daughter visited yesterday and enjoyed some yummy rolls and great conversation. There was an issue with my card and the server just took care of the remaining dollars and said not to worry about it as we have been here a few times and he recognized us. Service was top tier and that was before the issue with my card. Please go give these guys a try if you haven't!

Excellent lunch! Wasn't sure what i walked into with a sushi restaurant in the middle of Santa Rosa but i can confidently say, their fish quality is superb! I almost never order sashimi or nigiri from unknown restaurants so i took the safe route. Ordered a bento box with one item salmon teriyaki and a Hamachi Kama to test their fish quality. If they can serve a high quality hamachi kama cooked, then I'll give them my undivided trust in ordering sashimi. After finishing my meal today, I kind of regret not ordering sashimi. Oh well, let my mistake be your fortune. Give this place a try because they serve some quality fish! And their service is amazing.

The sushi here is absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, and everything came out really fast. Definitely the best sushi in Santa Rosa -- highly recommend it

I called the restaurant in advance to ask if I could make a reservation and to please give the check to me, as this friend can be quite stealthy about paying the bill. The lady who answered was most pleasant and accommodating and she mentioned that she would be our server too. The interior looks very similar to when this place was known as Aji. The previous owner had done a remodel before it changed hands so it is much brighter and inviting. We were seated at a booth and the menu is quite intriguing. They offer all kinds of nigiri/sashimi, classic rolls, special rolls, ramen, udon, bento boxes and even a kids menu. I don't eat raw fish so I ordered the green curry ramen which was a beautiful serving with two thick slices of pork, bamboo shoots, and a jammy egg. The broth was not what I expected. Even though the menu says medium spicy, I found it to be a very mild with a thin broth. I really enjoyed the slices of pork. My friend ordered the tempura udon. It was a nice serving of udon with vegetables and her tempura arrived separately on a plate, which we liked. Otherwise, the tempura would get all soggy. She couldn't stop commenting how good everything tasted. The interior is clean and service is outstanding, friendly and helpful. Our server was kind enough to take photos of us. When we arrived home, my friend realized that she had forgotten her leftovers. She was terribly disappointed so I told her to call the restaurant and sure enough, they had saved her leftovers in their refrigerator. What a very kind gesture! She drove back to pick them up and she was elated that they had been saved for her. Thank you Shiki for the nice meal and for saving my friend's leftovers. There are a few tables outside so you could enjoy a meal with your furry friend. Parking is available right outside the restaurant shared with other businesses.

I am still completely shocked by what happened at dinner tonight…read more The four of us went to a restaurant we've visited many times before. My mom loves their poke bowl and always orders it with less rice because she doesn't want to get filled up. Every other time she's ordered it this way, she's received a reasonable amount of rice--less than normal, but still enough for the meal. When my mom's poke bowl arrived, it had almost no rice at all. Since there was barely any rice worth mentioning, she told the waitress about it and asked for some rice to compensate. She was brought a small bowl of rice and added some to her Poke. When the bill came, we noticed she had been charged $5 for the rice. We politely asked the waitress about it. The owner overheard, and interject telling us that because my mom asked for less rice, she received less rice. We explained that wasn't the issue--we were confused about being charged extra for rice when the original portion was so unusually small.....nonexistent. The owner insisted that my mom hadn't asked for "half rice" and then went on to tell us that "you Americans don't understand how poke bowls work." At that point, we were stunned. We tried to explain our concern, but the conversation only became more frustrating. Eventually, I said to forget it and that we would just pay the extra charge. Instead of letting the matter go, the owner brought the chef out of the kitchen to further explain why we shouldn't have expected more rice. It was incredibly insulting and completely unnecessary. She would not stop berating us. We repeatedly asked her to stop, but she continued arguing the point. What should have been a simple question about a side charge turned into a lecture and a confrontation. We finally got up and left. This wasn't about the cost of the rice. It was about the way we were treated. We've been loyal customers for a year since she opened, and I've never experienced anything quite so disrespectful in a restaurant. Shame on you, Yu. Telling everyone we know.... and we know a lot of people here.

And my taste are different differently different than others. There was something off about the kimchi... It just didn't taste like what I'm used to, but I mean that could be a restaurant thing. I was also thrown off by the macaroni salad. It also had no flavor. I really enjoyed the bean sprouts and wanted to get another serving but was told it was a sample serving and that they don't do more than that. I could pay two dollars m Overall, I think my biggest issue was that a lot of the food was much sweeter than I expected. I was especially surprised by the grilled shrimp because I never imagined it would taste that sweet. I'm not going to lie, I still ate everything because I paid for it and didn't want to waste the food. The highlight of the meal was the Love Boat sushi roll that they light on fire. Visually, it was really impressive and made for a fun presentation. Taste wise, though, it was just an average sushi roll. I couldn't tell that the fire added anything to the flavor. I didn't notice any smokiness or anything that elevated the dish, and I honestly think it would have tasted the same without the fire. For what I paid, I don't think the meal was worth it, so I probably wouldn't come back just for myself. That said, I can see why other people might enjoy it. I did really like the jalapeño on the sushi roll because it added a nice kick, so I would order that again. This is also one of the few times I've had Thai iced tea that was simply too sweet for my taste.

At the end, I also got the homemade sauce just to try bc it was packed in a glass mason jar and relatively affordable. For food, I got tonkotsu ramen and the broth was good. I think it was missing the condiments and some umami flavoring. I'm not sure. It was 3.5 imo. The sesame balls were good and so was the octopus ball. The salmon looked plentiful and came with lots of sides but I'm not sure how it tasted bc I didn't order. All the dishes were cleared out though so I'd say it was a successful lunch trip.
