Looks like Sushiholic has now changed to Sushi High. Parking is available along Lougheed, as well as next to the building. Place still looks Korean run. Worth a mention. The chirashi don here is pretty solid. Salmon, tuna, more salmon, octopus, ikura, mackerel, snapper, prawn, and egg. The menu mentions 12 pieces, but I counted 14 pieces (ikura counts as 1), not including the 2 egg slices. I was pleasantly surprised. Just the right amount of rice too. Comes with miso soup which was also pretty tasty, with the extra bits of green onion and other goodies. Definitely a good choice if one is in the area. Recommended.

Ordered a sushi tray and received a spicy tuna roll on the house. The sushi platter is fairly small compared to regular trays but the quality is much better than other sushi joints. Taste is good and rolls don't have a lot of rice which is good. Because of quality, don't expect big portions. Presentation is good.

Japanese gig near where I currently lives...Free parking at the rear but only for 6 small vehicle. Neat sushi joint that observes covid-19 precautions. Busy when I came plus it was raining, luckily I got a parking at the back, too small that I sweat a lot hahaha...after few attempts I finally parked nicely and safe..... For my Food; I had the mixed tempura for my appez, fresh, crispy and so delish....and the volcano roll which is my favorite...it has dyna, spicy tuna, and chopped scallops...excellent taste, presentation was really instagramable....I love it... Delish and filling. Excellent sushi joint, affordable, friendly service and really decent place to eat Japanese cuisines.. Good for family and kids friendly...accept cash, debit, and credit, noise level is average.. Reminder: limited parking by the rear... I will visit again.....

Chicken Udon ($9.95): great bowl, let down by soggy chicken :S

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE Based solely on a single takeout experience, Sushi High (formerly Sushiholic) provided decent food at prices that won't break the bank. As other Yelp reviews show, your mileage may vary, so I'll leave the rating at 3 stars for now! === 2. FOOD Sashimi & Sushi Bento ($14.95): good selection for the price! In the box are: spicy tuna roll, tuna & salmon sashimi, salmon, tuna, and shrimp sushi, fried dumplings, a couple of pieces of chicken kaarage, a couple of tempura, a small salad and a small cup of miso soup. Apart from the chicken being pretty hard and the salad being small without dressing, it was a good choice for lunch or dinner. California Roll ($3.50): good price for 8 pieces. Not the creamiest or tastiest in town, but not bad either. Chicken Udon ($9.95): fresh mushrooms, fried tofu, seaweed, a piece of fishcake and some soggy chicken meet up with udon in this bowl. The soup has a decent flavor, but the chicken was done a while ago. Takeout may be best served with the soup separate!

Ordered the sushi high tray off of UberEats. It comes with 48 pieces - California roll, dynamite roll, salmon roll, tuna roll, kappa roll, spicy tuna roll, chopped scallop roll and BC roll. I personally did not enjoy the California roll, but I really liked the spicy tuna and BC roll. Great value for money. Overall, decent sushi spot but there are better spots elsewhere!

Friendly and quick service for some decent sushi. We came here for a quick dinner and that's exactly what it was. We had their prawn and yam tempura, aburi combo B (salmon and toro), chopped scallop roll, salmon and avocado roll, and unagi roll. The tempura had a loooot of batter, but it wasn't that heavy considering how much batter was on it. It was crisp and a good portion for the price. The aburi was torched just right and not too saucy. The rolls were a good size, and had a good rice to fish ratio. The salmon avocado roll had plenty of salmon. The unagi roll had a pretty good amount of unagi and wasn't overly sauced. Overall, the meal was alright and wasn't too expensive. The server was super friendly and made sure everything was okay.

Gave these guys a shot today, This place is under new management unfortunately they have much lower quantity now meaning for 2 rolls they make 4 cuts they use to give a little more also this year not sure what the story is also their dynamite roll is almost 7 bucks lol what happened here this was just under 5 bucks last year i guess i will need to find another location because these guys are getting super expensive and have reduced quality and quantity. Although the roll tasted fine the jacked up prices and reduced size of rolls is a 1 star

It looks like this place has taken over the former Sushiholic. Ordered a few rolls here for takeout. Tried the BC roll, cali roll and mango avocado roll. The BC roll is massive, it looks like they tried to combine two rolls into one. They fill one half of the roll with salmon and the other half is a cali roll. The food is decent for takeout. They offer free delivery over $20 on Skip the Dishes.

For good sushi at a decent price, why not!? I mean my hubby and I always order the same rolls, cones and salad but it's because we really like it here! The temaki (cone) is always full of tuna (spicy or negi), and their specialty rolls are MASSIVE! My favourite rolls are the Fire Dragon roll (if you like spicy) and Dragon roll. Their avocado salad is a must and the wings are great - especially if you have picky children. Even their basic rolls such as the Dynamite, Philly, or Alaska have less rice and more fillings. I also like the fact they have the brown rice option for $1 more. Although this place is super close to our home we still order through Skip when it rains but their food still tastes great after delivery!

So I was in search for a new sushi delivery place and remembered this place use to be sushiholic. My goodness the food was not up to my standard! I ordered 6 rolls, a spicy karage, wakame and takoyaki. I liked the spicy karage and wakame. The spicy karage (you get choose spicy or regular) was on a bed of salad. The wakame is quite small, but it tasted good. It tasted like the one at viva sushi. Takoyaki was big, but because it was so big, the octopus is noticeably small. Rolls I ordered were : spicy tuna, salmon avocado, chopped scallop, beef terriyaki, california roll and dynamite roll. How were the rolls? ALL THE ROLLS WERE HARD!! As if it was in the fridge. The beef terriyaki was the hardest of them all. I've read reviews about how it went downhill since they changed over, but was hoping it was a one off.. Definetly will not be back. It was such a waste of 60$

I am SO disappointed to have to change my review to a 1 star review. I'll explain why. I have been a customer here since they opened a few years ago. One of my favourite dishes to order is the Spicy Salmon Sashimi. That's what I ordered tonight. I noticed a few weeks ago that they have new menus. A few new dishes along with the tried and true. With the new menu came new higher prices as well. That isn't what turned me off this place now though. What turned me off is the 180 change in the food quality. Tonight's dish of Spicy Salmon Sashimi was #1 half the usual size serving for a $0.50 higher price and #2 it no longer consisted of nice good size chunks of salmon, it is now made up of the left over end slices of salmon you get when making a rectangle shape of fish for the Salmon Nigiri sushi #3 they changed the spicy sauce. When I pointed out what I noticed the waitress denied it saying that it was the changed of plates that made it LOOK LIKE a smaller portion. Then when I asked about the salmon quality she replied with that they just cut it up smaller. I was truly offended by her answers. I've posted a picture of my salmon dish ... you can see the obvious tiny cut off pieces if fish

Excellent sushi and service. We especially enjoyed the aburi tuna and aburi sockeye salmon. They also have a tv that often plays sports programming. We enjoyed watching the Olympic swimming events during our meal.

I pass by this place like a million times and finally, I have decided to step foot into the restaurant. Parking is a hit and miss. There are only 3 parking stalls here. So depends on your luck. Came here and order a salmon sashimi don. It was not bad but I don't like how the fish was so thinly sliced. Salmon was fresh but so little salmon on so much rice for what I paid for. Luckily I didn't get it seared or else it would be nasty don. I don't like overly cooked fish. Restaurant is very small. But it is very cute. Not a lot of seating inside. I would say this place is ok.

Michelin starred quality in their service by how they explained the menu, brought out the food, came back around to refill waters. Just top notch service and elegantly so. The food was good but not of value. Their lunch set was a good introductory to what they offer. I enjoyed the food for its flavours and presentation but I thought that it was a bit overpriced. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, fresh and definitely elevated, but it was $50 for 10pcs of sushi, 2 appetizer sized samples of their appetizer or entree dishes, and miso soup (which we did not get and didn't realize till much later in the day). If you're wanting an upscale experience (and portion) of good quality food or wanting to impress other parties, then this is a nice spot. For regular eats, it's a bit too luxurious to be a casual thing in my opinion. The ambiance is nice and calm. They have a patio, which has a meh view overlooking the harbor, but beware of a breezy day. It will catch a bit of a wind tunnel. They have heaters and blankets but the heaters don't really reach unless you're sitting next to it.

I completely understand that the space inside is limited, and waiting can be unavoidable. What made the experience less comfortable was not the wait itself, but the way it was communicated. Being asked to wait outside felt a bit cold and impersonal. In situations like this, a more friendly explanation, a small sign at the door, or even a simple system that lets customers know when to come back could make the wait feel much more considerate and human. Running a small restaurant is not easy, especially in today's economic climate. I truly believe that with a warmer, more customer-oriented approach, this place could do very well. Our wait staff were friendly and on point. They were considerate about answering our questions about the food and food allergies. I ordered the chicken thigh katsu ($26 Can) and my hubs got the chicken thigh curry ($28.50 Can). No dairy involved in either dish which I was happy about because I have challenges digesting milk protein. Yes, it's kinda pricey. Yes, it's totally worth it. The katsu is light, crispy, fried perfectly, not greasy, and comes with unlimited rice, miso soup, finely chopped cabbage salad, and an addictively delicious sesame dressing. Okeya Kyujiro is a Michelin one-star theatrical omakase restaurant, and when they say theatrical, they mean it! From the moment you're welcomed by smiling ushers in kimono to the closing tea ceremony, every movement feels intentional, precise, and elevated. The ambiance is serene and anticipatory. At the start, guests sit in silence as a black screen conceals the chefs. You see their shadows moving behind it. A bell rings, the screen lifts, and the performance begins. Dinner is a 25+ course experience priced at $325 per person. It's undeniably a splurge, but for a milestone celebration, it feels justified. The menu is seafood-forward, with many ingredients flown in from Japan. Each ingredient is presented before preparation, then carefully assembled and served directly from chef to guest. Courses arrive one by one, never rushed. The service team moves seamlessly in the background, refilling water and attending to drinks (available as an add-on) without disrupting the flow. The finale is a matcha ceremony, whisked in front of you with the same quiet precision that defines the evening. When the final sip is taken, the bell chimes once more, the chefs and staff bow, and the screens close.
