We were in town visiting family for the week and came across Sushi Kampai on Google, so we decided to give it a try. I have to say--I absolutely love Chinese food, and everything we ordered here was fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. We have a go-to spot back home, but this place easily surpassed it in both taste and quality. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making the whole experience even better. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend checking this place out!

I've been gate keeping for way too long. This place is a hidden gem. The absolute best sushi in Tampa hands down. The service is amazing every time. The sushi won't disappoint for it is fresh and so delicious. I highly recommend trying the Osaka and Orgasm specialty rolls. You will not regret it!

Impromptu dinner, seated right away. Menu with lots of intriguing specialty rolls. My "fire mountain" roll was piled high with salmon/tuna/escolar. Fish quality was fine but not primo, the pieces were chopped quite finely and the escolar was less buttery than I'm used to. My wife's yaki udon was nice and savory. Big portions, reasonable prices. Bonus points for being baby friendly; they had a kid's show on TV and a high chair for our little one. All in all a good experience and I would come back if we lived closer.

One of my favorite sushi spots in the Tampa Bay Area. This is a place that truly feels like home, from the people to the ambiance. From the moment you walk in, you are taken care of and I can't speak highly enough of their service! My go to roll is the orgasm roll (shrimp tempura, krabmeat, avocado, and salmon baked with spicy mayo) and the Spicy Yellowtail Usuzu Kuri. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

This location is located right near Target in plaza with UPS and liquor store. Parking is open to all businesses sharing plaza. I Stopped in for a quick lunch and was greeted immediately! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The Mongolian beef was recommended and proved to be delicious. The cozy inside seating creates an intimate atmosphere, and they handle a lot of to-go and Uber orders if you're ever curious where to order from. Gift cards are available, with the amount written on a business card. It's a small place but highly recommended.

The food was amazing! Service is fantastic and very nice! My husband and I always love to come to this restaurant when we came to Tampa. You won't be disappointed! Give it try!

I was craving sushi tonight, this place had been on my list of places to try... I was impressed by the second I walked in, the hostess was so sweet and helpful with helping me place my order. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box for myself and I replaced the California roll with the Mango Tango roll. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Perfect combination of sweet and meaty with the shrimp tempura and crab meat. for my son, I ordered him the Executive roll, which he loved as well. I was so hungry walking in my house, I devoured my chicken teriyaki before taking a picture. I only took a picture of my mango roll. I will be a regular customer here. the people were soooo nice!! And I noticed several others coming in to pick up their orders.

The food was delicious and I was delighted when I left stuffed. The service is amazing they were not rude but nice. The ambiance is very calm.

I LOVE sushi Kampai! This place is unreal, my favorite item is the Chicken Teriyaki Bento. ALWAYS upgrade to the spicy tuna roll and egg fried rice. The best fried rice I've ever had. Thank you Sushi Kampai!

Excellent service and delicious food. Easy to miss inside the shopping plaza, but worth the try. Quiet and cozy ambiance.

SUMMARY: Sushi Kampai is located at 10312 Bloomingdale Ave, Riverview, FL 33578, USA. You can place orders via their webpage or by calling them at 813-620-3717. You HAVE to go! This restaurant is my first choice for great sushi and Japanese cuisine, and is an absolutely amazing place to dine. It leaves very good impressions and never disappoints! The whole experience from start to finish is truly enjoyable, and the food is always fantastic no matter what I order. They give consistently great food, quality, and service, and go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. First Impressions: Upon entering Sushi Kampai, I was immediately captivated by the cozy, inviting ambiance; it is very welcoming and charming. It's a great blend of modern and traditional Japanese asthetics. The stylish decor and soothing atmosphere set the stage for a memorable dining experience. You can see the sushi chefs hard at work to your right as you enter the restaurant behind a wonderful display of sushi ingredients. The warm welcome from the staff added a personal touch to the overall first impressions, and I experience that each and every time I go there. The wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen will got my mouth watering! Standout Dishes: Sushi Kampai boasts an impressive array of dishes and they make excellent sushi, but the standout for me was undoubtedly the "Spicy Cream Chicken Bento Box," which comes with a choice of delicious onion or miso soup, large pieces of spicy cream chicken that melt in your mouth, 8 pieces of a California sushi roll, white rice, seaweed salad, and 2 gyoza. I enjoyed every single bite! The combination of flavors and textures was absolutely wonderful and it left such a lasting impression that I tend to order it a lot! Additionally, the "Mongolian Beef," "Spider" sushi roll, and their most popular "Orgasm" sushi roll are a must-try for those seeking a unique and satisfying taste experience. These particular rolls are recommended by the restaurant staff AND by customers describing their own experience from having tried it. Presentation: The presentation of each dish at Sushi Kampai is a visual feast and very exciting. The meticulous attention to detail is evident in every plate, enhancing the overall dining experience. The artistic arrangement of colors and textures showcases a commitment to culinary excellence. The dishes are more than just great food on a plate, they are a representation of the quality and pride the chefs work hard to put into each meal to make it a pleasing and memorable experience. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. Freshness and Quality: Freshness takes center stage at Sushi Kampai. The sushi ingredients are undoubtedly top-notch as you can see in the display case to your right upon entering the restaurant, and the commitment to quality shone through in every bite. I truly believe that the distinct freshness and quality of the ingredients elevate the dining experience, distinguishing it from other sushi establishments. Service: The service at Sushi Kampai was nothing short of exceptional. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The staff was attentive, friendly, and displayed a genuine passion for their craft. They were more than willing to provide recommendations, ensuring that each guest felt valued and well-informed. Ambiance and Atmosphere: The overall ambiance of Sushi Kampai strikes the perfect balance between casual and upscale. The inviting atmosphere creates a welcoming space for diners, making it ideal for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. The thoughtfully designed interior contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Pricing and Value: It can be expensive but well worth it! So, while Sushi Kampai may be considered a slightly higher-priced option, the impeccable quality and generous portion sizes justify the cost. The value for money is evident in every bite, making it a worthwhile investment for those seeking an exceptional sushi experience. Dietary Options: Sushi Kampai caters excellently to various dietary needs. Their menu includes a diverse selection suitable for vegetarians and those with specific dietary restrictions. The accommodating nature of the staff ensures that every guest finds a satisfying and delicious option. My Recommendation: In summary, Sushi Kampai delivers an unparalleled dining experience that seamlessly combines exceptional sushi, top-notch service, and an inviting ambiance. I wholeheartedly recommend Sushi Kampai to sushi enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and anyone seeking a memorable culinary journey. I look forward to returning to explore more of their delectable offerings. I invite you to experience it for yourself!

I decided to go with 2 rolls for lunch; a basic yellowtail roll, and a spider roll, which comes with fried softshell crab. While I was waiting, the sushi chef provided me with a specialty piece of yellowtail that was amazing! My rolls came out quickly, and they were absolutely perfect. While less pieces than I'm used to, the yellowtail roll was packed with fish. And the soft shell crab was perfectly cooked, plus I love that they provided the deep fried legs, too. Everything I received was beautifully plated on slate dishes, which is always a nice touch. Yes, I do think its more expensive than other sushi places ($4 for a soda, come on?!) but it was really excellent sushi. If I'm ever in the area again (which, honestly, I hope not to be), I would definitely return.

The menu has appetizers, sushi rolls, rice bowls, and ramen. There were lunch specials which are what we ordered. The chicken hibachi bowl is only $12 which I thought was a very fair price for the amount of food. The quality of the food is excellent. The punk rock roll was so good and it was different (with chopped strawberry, avocado, jalapeño, cucumber salad).
