All you can eat sushi for $28.99. if you want to fill your belly with regular sushi then this is your place. Me? I'm a little picky and this is NOT my place. Rolls were not exciting or have any punch in flavor. I got a "Summer Mango Roll" and it was basically a roll with mayonnaise, barely a hint of mango. Recently moved from Virginia where there were lots of AYCE sushi places so I had to find one in Greensboro! My boyfriend took me here and pretty much everything about it reminds me of Sushi King for those who are familiar. Although I wished they had a regular liquor bar, it's not surprising for a Japanese place. There were still a variety of options to choose from, even cocktails. I can't recall the name of the one I got but it was in a martini and came with a large rose shaped ice cube. I've never seen something like that and thought it was so cool! But I did feel like it took up so much space in the martini glass with little room left for the actual drink lol. They had a nice laminated menu so I would suggest taking down the written paper ones to keep the atmosphere polished. Really good variety of rolls too! You'll find the classic options as well as some unique and creative ones. I thought they could have renamed one or two of them after Greensboro/North Carolina instead of Richmond (which really reminded me of Sushi King). Rolls were good though! Appetizers/sides were not bad but that's not what we came for anyway so no complaints on the food. Service was good too! Atmosphere - sit down with Japanese vibes, exactly what you'd expect. It was a different dynamic than Shingoku Station across the way but the price was the same. It's a nice quiet ambiance there and it's not train station bright in there like the other place. The presence of several existing establishments in the near vicinity made Sushi Kingdom's debut a headscratcher, but the minute all you can eat was unveiled, it became a game-changer. AYCE previously required a long-ish trek to northern Greensboro, so having such an option close by is a welcome relief. You're getting more than just quantity here, however, as Sushi Kingdom has some of the best sushi in High Point. First, a caveat: Sushi Kingdom fills up easily. It's housed in a former Moe's that is probably too small for its operation. We stopped by on a Monday night and encountered a wait (arrive early if you're planning a weekend visit). Due to that busyness, our constantly-hustling server felt like she was doing the jobs of three people. She was great, but don't be surprised if you get a "Did you order this?" query or two from the beleaguered staff. That bit of chaos aside, Sushi Kingdom otherwise offered an excellent early birthday meal. My wife and I both went for AYCE at $29 per person, and it was worth it. Sushi Kingdom offers a variety of kitchen apps, hibachi dishes, classic and specialty rolls. We tried the edamame, crab rangoons, tempura vegetables, miso, and several classic and specialty rolls. There were no misses in the bunch. It may have been the coolness of the evening, but the miso was especially satisfying. The sushi tasted fresh, and they didn't skimp on the sizing. Our favorite was the Diamond Roll (salmon, eel, avocado, and crab deep fried and topped with spicy crab and ponzu sauce) though anyone wanting a change of pace should look into the Summer Mango (mango, avocado, and cucumber topped with salmon and mango sauce). The sweetness paired well with the other roll's heat. While Sushi Kingdom does place a two-hour time limit on AYCE, we felt no pressure during our meal. They explained the "rules" (leftovers = extra charge) at the beginning and let us eat in peace. Though the staff were, as mentioned, working up a storm, they remained cordial throughout. Defying the odds, Sushi Kingdom shows that you can do all you can eat without sacrificing quality. I look forward to a return visit. Come early, and come hungry. read more

We very much enjoyed everything about our Sushi Kingdom visit! We went on a very busy valentine weekend (Friday for dinner). The place was packed but we only waited about 25 mins. It was definitely worth the wait because this is some of the best, fresh sushi we've had! We love sushi so we aren't amateurs. The appetizers were also great. Everything that was fried was cooked in clean oil- I hate when everything tastes the same. Not the case here. Our waiter was so polite and in good spirits. I'd heard good things about the all you can eat sushi experience at Sushi Kingdom in High Point. I recently finally had a Friday night off from rehearsal so the hubby and I decided to have a date night and go check it out. We arrived to realize it's in the location of the old Moe's we used to sometimes frequent. Honestly the repurposing the customizable burrito build setup works well for slamming out sushi quickly too. They turned the old salsa bar into a prep station with all the drinks, soup, sauces, etc. Everything here came out so quickly. I was very impressed and the thought they put into their setup clearly paid off in that regard. The restaurant had lots of fun bright colored decor (as well as some fun Asian cat embellishments which I was all about). They have lots of tables as well as some sushi bar seating. They were pretty busy, but we were able to be sat as a two top in about 5 minutes. That is unheard of at the GSO AYCE Sushi joint especially on a weekend. As I said the food came out very fast and our waitress was quiet attentive with drink refills and new menus. The appetizer and sushi offerings were very similar to what I am used to, but did have a few surprises. We got all kinds of starters including some soup, gyoza, seaweed salad, avocado salad, crab ragoons, edamame, Japanese fried chicken, and shumai. A stand out was the fried chicken. They were perfectly crispy little chicken nuggets. Their crab ragoons were also nicely fried and had very tasty filling. The only app that wasn't so good was the shumai, the shrimp tasted very fishy. For sushi we decided to get some sashimi of course as well as some speciality rolls we had never tried for round 1. We got some big old pieces of Salmon, tuna, yellowtail, escolar, and shrimp. Always a plus. The rolls were all beautifully wrapped and it was such a colorful plate when presented. We both really liked the Summer mango roll (mango, avocado, tuna, salmon, mango sauce). The mango was a very yummy and different taste. But our hands down favorite was the Sexy dancing roll (tuna, salmon, avocado, wrapped in soybean paper topped with spicy Mayo). We even ordered a second round of this one on plate two. The soybean paper makes the roll so nice and light and the spicy Mayo added a perfect little kick. Yummy! We were so full after sushi plate two we sadly had to pass on dessert. I bet the ice cream was good too. All in all we were very pleased and will absolutely be back. It is just so much food and a crazy good deal, especially quality sushi, for only costing $29. It's a great way to try things as well get to have a little of everything you love. Just make sure you don't order more then you can eat as they will charge you for leftovers. We left so ungodly full, but feeling delish. They know what they are doing here, and it shows. I was very pleasantly surprised! Truthfully, I was not expecting much from a. "All you can eat" option at a sushi place. I can tell you I was wrong. This place is amazing that all started with the greeting at the door. Very polite greeting and were immediately sat. Soon after the waitress came over and she was also very kind. I wanted to try the all you can eat option as this was what my daughter's boyfriend raved most about and I was most skeptical. The all you can eat menu and many choices from appetizers through dessert and includes sushi as well as hibachi and other cooked foods. We opted for all sushi and nigiri. I was completely shocked how fantastic the rolls were and they did not cheat on the amour of fish at all. So much better than I expected. The yellow tail nigiri was a bit thinly sliced but was absolutely delicious and you can order more. This place is 30 minutes from my house but I will make regular stops here as I was very happy. It's about time that we found a GOOD all you can eat sushi option. The thing that makes this place worth it for me is that a wide array of sashimi is included in the price. You are limited to ten of each variety per round but you can order over and over if desired. There are a slew of cooked options as well, the hibachi chicken and shrimp are both really tasty, the noodles are good too. They've got lots of assorted fried things to keep the little kids happy. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that they did exactly what these places always do, which is assume you blindly over ordered and so don't bring all of the items. But we are both fat and have good memories so we made sure to get them on the second round. Lastly, they did warn us verbally of their waste policy after reviewing our order which always injects a little bit of fat shaming/anxiety to the experience but I understand sometimes people get ridiculous with their orders and that's why such policies exist. I would definitely come here again the next time we are craving sushi en masse. The quality was 8.5/10 for an all you can eat experience and they're well worth a try. read more

Dined here with my best friend, and was told it would be about a 20min wait. It was about 6:30pm on a Tuesday and packed! Immediately after being told that, a group came in. That's we noticed that there was nowhere to wait. We were standing at the counter where you receive online orders, the exit, and narrow walkway into the dining area. Thankfully, we got our table before the group completely came inside. Our server was very nice, but noticeably overwhelmed. We ordered the Japanese Chicken, Takoyaki, Sexy Lady roll, and Sushi Kingdom roll. The Japanese Chicken was very good, like addictive good. The Takoyaki was average, but good. I very much enjoyed my sushi. I do try rolls with wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, or a combo of what I listed. Although I did try so with my Sexy Lady, I ended up not using any. It was perfectly fine for me without. My only issue with this experience is that after receiving our dishes, we did not see our server again until they asked about the check. We did not get any refills, nor were we check on in general. My friend suggested that it could be that it's so crowded and it didn't look like anyone else was on the floor with them. We called beforehand to make sure they had gluten-free options to which they told us they did but when we got there, our waitress acted like we were insane for asking about gluten-free options and had no idea what that was. Finally, I think found my go-to sushi spot. After trying several locations in and around Greensboro (Thai Basil being a close second), this place knocked its out of the park. I sampled a bit of the gyoza and it was some of the best I've tasted. Apps including house salad and miso soup were the standard fare you'd get an any Japanese outfit, and they were done REALLY well. Great decision on my part....they have all you can eat. (I forgot to ask, but I think AYCE is weekends, not just Sunday) This place gets packed pretty quick. We got there about 6 on a Sunday evening and there was no wait, but that probably changed as booths started filling around us quickly. The sushi was tasty. We had a Sexy Lady, Black Dragon, Summer Mango, Rainbow, and Yummy roll. I also got chicken hibachi which was pretty good although I could've had a few more veggies. The service is good. The staff works well together. Our server had a pretty large party halfway into our meal and one of the other servers brought our sushi out while our server was taking their order. When Erik S posted about a new AYCE sushi place that is significantly closer and more convenient to me I immediately put out a FB query "ISO local sushi buddy to try a new AYCE sushi place!" I got a surprising lot of my PA peeps saying they would love to sushi with me (come visit!) and two actually local friends interested. Today Ashley B & I stopped in for lunch and discovered to my delight that YES, AYCE sushi is any time the restaurant is open, and what's more, if you go at lunchtime it's just $18.99 per person. Caveat: the list of available options is one page instead of dinnertime's two pages, and there's no sashimi, just apps, sushi rolls and nigiri, (oh! and hibachi, but that was absolutely not our focus), and you only get a 1h time frame to eat. Is that really a downside? I love handrolls! (Eel and avocado handrolls are where it's at!) And I don't know that I could have eaten much more than I did even given more time; we both left happily stuffed. The one thing I would have changed from our order is the "sexy lady" roll (spicy tuna, topped with salmon, avocado, & Thai sweet chili sauce) would have been much better without the chili sauce which really covered over the goodness of the fish. And if I were to go in the evening and pay the extra for dinnertime AYCE sushi, we'd have gotten a load of sashimi (not available on lunchtime AYCE) and I do love me a spider roll. Could we have made better economic choices than leading with miso soup and seaweed salad and instead diving right into the pricy stuff? Since it was just me, I sat at the bar where I had a view of the staff preparing the sushi. It was very delicious and they have so many menu items. There's definitely something for everyone. They also have different combos of hibachi and you can sub for noodles if you like. You have a choice of ordering from the traditional menu or you can do an all you can eat option. We've gone twice now for the AYCE menu. I will say 4 stars by default because there's lack of competition in the area. Paper menu concept where you can order sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, tempura, and more. Good variety of items to choose from, and the hot food is particularly good. The sushi is fair for AYCE/buffet level around here. It is a bit pricey, but everything is right now. I don't love that they purposely "forget" to bring out items we ordered on the menu, thinking we wouldn't notice. Me being fat, I notice! I also don't like the disclaimer of charging for waste. We had an awesome experience for our first time at Sushi Kingdom! The hubs was craving sushi and when he found out they had an all you can eat option, he was pumped and we HAD to try it out immediately :-) The restaurant looks newly remodeled, there is a nice open area, so great for groups. Very clean and nicely decorated. Our server was excellent and super helpful at recommending options for us. I am not a huge sushi eater... in fact, I don't enjoy fish in an form, raw or cooked. BUT, I do love some veggie sushi options and of course all the delicious fried things :-) Compared to a similar restaurant in Greensboro, Sushi Kingdom's menu offered more items and an interesting variety, so I was able to find several items to enjoy for the meal. The prices were very reasonable. We are looking forward to returning with friends to enjoy this wonderful new addition to High Point. read more

This place is fantastic! They have a lot of great options but their all you can eat sushi dinner is legit. There are multiple appetizer options (the gyoza is great) but we opted to focus on sushi. Between the 4 of us we tried 13 different specialty rolls and two rounds of sashimi, primarily tuna and salmon. Every roll, and I mean EVERY roll was excellent! The Snow White was our favorite but I would order any of them again. Portions are solid with most rolls coming in 8 pieces and the chefs are very precise with their cuts and plating. Service was also really great with multiple folks on staff checking on us as well as the manager (maybe owner?) even stopping by to insure we were having a great experience.
