The food selection is great. They have a lot of great menu items for those of you that don't care for actual 'sushi' . But for you sushi lovers like myself this place on point! Great variety, great prices, and very reasonable portions. And they are more than happy to accommodate changes such as 'no avocado' or 'shellfish' for those of you who have allergies, as well things like adding 'masago' to your California roll. Finally!!! A quality sushi joint in Teravista/N Round Rock area. I live near 1431. No more driving far for some good sushi. Excellent atmosphere for a dinner date,too. Love this place. Food is Amazing. Been a regular since they opened. Come at least a couple times a month. Never disappointed. Spicy Garlic Edamame is AMAZING. I have not found any other place that makes it like this. Sushi is always fresh. The entree's are delicious as well. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because it completely replicated my favorite sushi rolls from a place called Sushi Fever. Crazy Horse, Monica Vegas, etc. Multiple rolls/sauces that are the same recipes as Sushi Fever in Cedar Park. When I asked our server if the restaurant was tied to each other, she had no idea what I was talking about. But when Sushi Fever is closed, this place is open. So that's nice. read more

Since leaving California and traveling around the country in our RV, my wife and I have really missed good sushi. We've had some really bad sushi in the Midwest, so I'm reluctant to grab any sushi too far from the coast. With the Covid thing going on, dreams of sushi have eluded us, well our prayers have been answered, Sushi Koen is a delight. This place is super clean, practices excellent social distancing, and the staff are all wearing masks and most importantly the food is terrific. Every roll we have tried has been excellent. The garlic edamame is unlike any I've ever had and now I have some wicked cravings for it. We are stuck in Georgetown for some medical issues and we've already been to Sushi Koen five times, I think they even know us there. The Hamachi which I always order has been fantastic every time. They seem to do a lot of takeout, and I highly recommend this place. I really do hope they make it through this terrible pandemic. I'd like to say a special thank you for all the wonderful meals we've had, and hope to have. read more

It was our first time here and we are a fan. Service was friendly and the sashimi was fresh and reasonably priced. The spider roll was a little disappointing, and I've never had bad spider roll but one bad thing is not a deal breaker. We also had their salad, appetizers and nigiri and all were delicious. We didn't try any warm dishes this time but will try it next time. Glad we found this place. read more

I got there for lunch and the place was pretty empty, which I thought was odd for such an esteemed place. Nevertheless, the food and the service were both quite impressive (and more people did come once we settled in). I got the Lisa Lisa Roll and the Shrimp Crunch roll, and both were really good. The tempura was crunchy, and everything held together well. Would have preferred a bit more veggies in each. Amazing attentive service, cost was on par with similar places. We ordered take out and found the four rolls we ordered to be average, but not anything special. Maybe there are some rolls that they are know for, but obviously we didn't order those. My husband got the bulgogi and it was a really small portion. As comparison to the picture posted of dine in bulgogi, it was about 60% of that amount. First time here. We ordered The Austin Roll and Kiss of Fire (spicy) from the chef's menu, it was FANTASTIC. Each roll had a level of flavor that was cohesively brought together into a piece of art. Been waiting for a sushi restaurant to come to the area. I was highly disappointed in the food but the service is great. I had the mixed tempura appetizer and it tasted burnt. We also had the magma, rainbow, for the halibut roll. The rice was really grainy and the magma roll is probably the worst roll I ever had.
