My son got shrimp tempura udon this time around and the broth was rich and flavorful. This last visit, we came in unintentionally the same day as Monster Jam so there were multiple families waiting to be seated. We got seated pretty quickly and our food did not take long either. At least I don't remember the wait. Staff are always kind and checking in on us. This location has an indoor and outdoor patio area. We ordered the fresh roll combo, which includes a California roll, spicy tuna roll, and rainbow roll for $22. It's a solid deal for classic rolls, though the cuts were a bit disproportionate. It almost looked a bit too greasy to see the oil filled in the dish - it definitely threw my friend off because she ordered it as well and she actually only took one bite of the whole dish. This was pretty disappointing. Sensual pleasure roll was ok as well. I think I wouldn't get it next time. The black pink roll actually wasn't bad (what my friend got) - it's very heavy with cream cheese but I truly didn't mind it! Service is always on point here, you get seated fast, they check on you multiple times and make sure that you're enjoying your meal there. Ambience is great, and servers are super friendly. I've ordered through Yelp/Grubhub two weeks in a row now & have had issues specifically with the timing of the order being delivered. Last week, my order was left on the front doorstep since it was raining. The app never updated so I never knew to check the front door & my order was ice cold by the time I got to it. Today I ordered again, weather is great so I had my front door open to make sure I didn't miss having a hot fresh roll (which is important because 1) who likes reheated sushi & 2) I am pregnant & have to have the food served fresh/hot). The person didn't even bother to drop off at the front door & it was instead in front of my garage, despite instructions on the food they picked up saying doorstep drop off. My food once again sat out there & got ice cold. This review is more so on the app & Grubhub not being able to properly communicate. Went there for the first time to grab some late lunch before a tjmaxx run. Its a relatively small place but the service was great and pretty fast. They also have a 50% off menu which is nice if you want to grab some rolls without hurting the wallet. Started off with the soft shell crab which was pretty crunchy and soft in the inside. A little underwhelming but it was our first time trying it so we didn't really know what to expect. It came with a sauce that I found a little too vinegary but it helped cut through the grease. The spring mix that it came with as garnish on the bottom was pretty fresh and crunchy. I didnt notice even the slightest wilting on them which is a detail i appreciated. We then had the salmon sashimi. The cuts were surprisingly pretty big. We were used to 1 inch length cuts but these were about 3 inches long! I feel like you get your moneys worth which is always nice. I also liked the wasabi it came with which i think is mixed with green onion? Not sure. The sushi rolls here are a very good portion, and even though things are not on the menu like a softshell crab hand roll they'll be happy to make it for you. I like that there's two or three options that don't have rice such as the 'tomato' which is essentially just all fish. Perfect for all the carb conscious individuals out there. They have an ad showing 40% off for takeouts and 50% off if you eat in but each rule still comes out to about $13 or $15 with the discount so just keep that in mind. This is on par with elsewhere, but the sushi is always fresh tasting in a good portion so it makes up for it. They don't charge extra for spicy mayo. The menu is a bit overwhelming at first, but I love that they have pictures so you can figure out what you're ordering. Things are also easily modifiable. Most of all to me I love that there's a lot of tuna options for the rolls. The rice on the rolls is very fresh. I've also tried the tempura udon - the broth is a little bit on the salty or heavier side for udon, but that might be good when you're super hungry. During the weekdays, the place is pretty chill, but does pick up around dinner time. Service is also pre-attentive and I like that you could sit inside or outside. Bit of a basic decor but food makes up for the ambience and the price. I have been coming here for quite some time now both to eat in and to go- I really like the grab and go option as I complete my Costco shopping. They're very quick about getting your order right and packed to go appropriately. I've never really had to wait more than 15 minutes for my order. -there also has never been a problem with parking in the little shopping area that's with McDonald's. My sister and I came here today and got the following food: Vegas Roll: genuinely the worst sushi roll i've ever had, the interior had the texture of slimy ground beef in like cream cheese it was NOT good. I've been here before and it was okay, not amazing but hit the spot, decent. Recently, I got handrolls and they were not good. The spicy tuna was this weird red color and looked like ground beef. The spicy scallop roll was mostly imitation crab with a few of those cheap little scallops sparsely mixed in. The salmon was not good at all, it was horrible. Each piece of salmon was so chewy that I could not eat it at all. I chewed it and spit it back out. And it was not one or two pieces, it was every single piece. I ended up taking it home and air frying it, and when it was cooked, it tasted fishy and not fresh. In total, I spent about $55 which was not good at all for the quality. You can get high quality all you can eat somewhere else for the price. I am very disappointed by my experience and won't be back. read more
