My friend and I had a great experience at Sushi Lola's! The service was excellent and our drinks were never empty. We ordered two appetizers and they also brought spring rolls to our table for free. From the appetizers to our sushi, everything was delicious. They also give out cookies for free! It's a warm, family-like environment, they're always giving out food for free and the food quality is always excellent!

Super great sushi spot on mills. The hostess who may have been the owner was top tied. This place that looks like a hole in the wall served up the most delicious spider roll I have ever had in Orlando. Crispy, sweet and delicious. I loved how spicy their sushi nachos were and the shrimp chips were crisp and clearly freshly fried. We were served krab volcano balls as a gift from the kitchen and they were lovely. If you are looking for quality sushi in a laid back environment this is your spot!

Came in on a Saturday night and was surprised it wasn't that busy. We were seated immediately or at least gracefully pointed toward our table. The place isn't fancy but it's not a dive either. Service was... lukewarm. Not bad, not great just vibing. The person working the door was also waiting tables, so either they're running a very tight, frugal ship or it's further proof that nobody wants to work these days. Now, full disclosure: I don't eat sushi. But I do eat everything else, so I took one for the team. We ordered the chicken fried rice, ahi tuna tostada, chicken dumplings, and a roll (for my sushi-eating companion). * Ahi tuna tostada - Absolute star of the show. Super fresh. Bright. Delicious. Would come back specifically for this. * Chicken dumplings - Good, but I've had better. Next visit, I'll probably branch out. * Chicken fried rice - Solid, did the job. * The roll (per my companion) - "Very good," which from him is high praise. Overall: good food, especially that ahi tuna. Service may not sweep you off your feet, but the flavors might. I'll definitely be back mainly to reunite with that tuna.

We've always enjoyed Sushi Lola's. First, a heads-up: parking can be a hassle, especially on the weekend. Parking spots turn over slowly so plan a few extra minutes. The food is consistently good and portions that feel fair for the price. You can order your favorites with confidence and expect the same result each visit. The staff is genuinely nice, welcoming without being pushy, quick with refills, and attentive even when the room is busy. They manage to keep a steady tempo without making you feel rushed. The neighborhood adds to the experience. There are a bunch of unique shops in this plaza and this space fits right in. Bottom line: not the easiest parking, but consistently worth it.

Crazy Japanese roll next to the tuna tartar

My best friend and I were doing a Orlando Science Center event and decided to drive around to grab a meal beforehand. Several places were really packed so we kept driving till we went down Corrine drive and found a parking spot at the strip mall where Sushi Lola was. The spaces were crazy packed. We walked in and stood at the door, waiting for a good bit as the three servers handling a busy bunch of eaters, taking orders, bringing out plates, etc. Finally one of the tables was cleared and we were seated, the elder male server took the chopsticks and the little soy sauce cup, adjusting it correctly when it was moved by me before handing us menus and heading off to do other things. A few minutes later, one of the ladies came by to take drinks orders and our food requests. I went simply with a fountain drink ($4), a fire dragon roll ($17) and TNT roll ($17). My best friend got the tuna tartar ($15) and crazy Japanese roll ($16). Her tartar was freaking spicy and so was one of mine - the one with the small shrimp and mini scallops kicked my mouth with heat. Dang. The service was good but you need to be patient since they are busy. Once our rolls were handed off they pretty much left us alone and it took a bit to get the bill but we received little plastic wrapped chocolate cookies as a treat. So nice! I want to try various other rolls from the vast selection. The sound was loud due to the medium sized seating area and some of the folks were also being boisterous but it wasn't awful.

Sushi Lola's is my absolute favorite Orlando area restaurant. I go at least once a month. The servers are always so nice to us and remember us every time. This is my go to place for bringing visiting family and friends. It has a lowkey vibe and isn't anything to fancy on the inside, which adds to its charm.

First time trying this local staple and was overall very, very happy! It's a small, simple restaurant with a locals/neighborhood feel. I love that it's family owned and operated. You can sense the pride they have for such a wonderful spot in Orlando's culinary scene. We shared the Lava Dips - which were supposed to be similar to Crab Rangoons. The flavor was unique but tasty. Shared amongst my group were the FIRE and MAGIC rolls as well as a spicy tuna. The FIRE roll had quite the kick, and I believe is the spiciest on the menu. The MAGIC roll comes out on fire and was by far, my favorite. It had a melty, full of flavor taste and everything was super fresh. So excited I got to try with friends and continue to support this place!!

Sushi Lola's is excellent! We didn't wait long at all to be seated, the severs were attentive and sweet! We ordered the rainbow roll, playboy roll, sweet potato roll, calamari tempura, vegetable tempura, fried rice and a pot of tea. The sushi was incredibly fresh and the tempura was perfectly crunchy. The fried rice was probably the best I've ever had- we ordered that combo with shrimp, steak, and chicken. I wanted to eat every grain of rice. I usually drown calamari in lemon, but that was not even necessary in this case because it was perfectly cooked in the tempura batter. It was a little chilly in the restaurant, but it's Florida, so that is pretty welcome on a hot day. I was comfortable with a little sweater. Definitely recommend.

This has become one of my favorite local sushi spots. Their Happy Hour is M-F from 4-6p. 2 regular rolls for $16 and 2 delux rolls for $26. Many options to choose, and highly recommend the deluxe list if you're a fan of raw sushi. My personal favorite is Pink Lady, pictured at the far left. As you can see we indulged on a few selections. The service staff is welcoming and offered their recommendations when asked. It's located near the EastEnd Market and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Check them out!

We LOVE sushi Lolas!!! You cannot beat their happy hour- we got 4 rolls and 4 drinks for under $70. Our favorite roll is the pink lady for sure!! Service was great and accommodating for having a toddler with us!

A true staple in the heart of the Mills area. This spot has a fantastic happy hour from 4-6 PM: two deluxe rolls for $25 -- a great deal. Not pictured here but highly recommended is the Tuna Crunch (crispy rice topped with tuna), which was easily my favorite item on the menu. The sushi overall was fresh, flavorful, and creative. The Pink Lady roll is perfect for anyone who loves cream cheese, while the Desiree roll, made with real crab, was my personal favorite. The only dish I didn't love was the fried rice -- the sesame oil was a bit overpowering for my palate. The biggest downside of the experience, however, was the service. Our server didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu, simply repeating the descriptions when we asked questions. He also hovered uncomfortably at the table while we tasted everything, and when it came time to pay, we had to flag him down after watching him complete several other tasks before bringing us the check. I'm not sure if he was new, but it did make the experience feel a bit awkward. Overall, the food here is excellent -- fresh and full of flavor -- but the service left something to be desired. I'd still recommend it for the quality of the sushi, especially during happy hour.

    A little bit of everything!
    Sara D.

Wow! Every time I go here I am more impressed! The food is always amazing and all the servers are so sweet! The hot tea is so yummy and the sweet potato roll is my go to. Definitely recommend!

    Cristina R.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place. This was by far one of my favorite sushi spots but I feel like something's have changed. It's been a while since I've been here but I'm glad they still offer happy hour on Saturdays from 4-6PM. Not that many places offer that so it's nice to see but I do feel like it is a bit pricey or some of the rolls on the happy hour menu end up being the same price if you ordered it normally. The roll sizes are big so that's a plus. Unfortunately our server wasn't very helpful. He didn't know the menu well enough t answer any questions and he didn't seem eager to help find out the answer. But the quality and taste of the rolls were delicious.

We discussed whether we should leave, and ultimately she decided to stay and still give your place a try based off of the past great experiences I had shared. What shocked both of us the most though is not one team member came over to discuss nor reassure nor apologize about the situation. This was truly handled wrong, and the team needs training on how to handle it. Ignoring this uncomfortable experience may help them not be embarrassed... but to a person dining ... it just instills further concern. The fresh fish and sushi courses were the highlights of the show and make for a peculiar parallel to the later deeper flavor dishes like the braised short rib. Possibly this is averted if we had splurged on the wagyu supplement but still felt like the menu takes a turn towards the end. I can't speak more highly of the service here. The entire team was incredible throughout the entire evening with an energy and passion that only comes with this caliber of restaurant. With Sushi Saint and Perla's now all here, we did notice when we went to leave how tricky the parking lot becomes. Even with the valet, we struggled to leave with cars stacked up trying to park - would make sure you arrive with plenty of time. Overall, Soseki was a great experience and worth its most recent star and price. We had incredible food served by impressive people that made for an amazing celebration.

I love that they're intentional about the rice they use in their nigiri course, and most of the courses were excellent, but a couple were misses for me. This time, I wasn't a big fan of the chawanmushi, I found that it was a little bit sweet. I also didn't love the wagyu empanada - it felt so small, like a waste of the wagyu. I also didn't love the red snapper in squid sofrito. Standout courses for me were the compressed watermelon, the hotate, and the chutoro. I also loved the carrot and caviar starter and all of the desserts. This place does so much so well. I love their sushi, and I love how intentional the entire layout of the restaurant is with the cutlery drawer and the open kitchen style. The chefs are always a pleasure to speak with and the sommelier was awesome. I just wish I could say that every course was a 10/10 for me, especially with the price tag.

New to the area, and I found this place by doing a quick search for sushi near me…read more I placed an order on their website while we finished some shopping nearby and then we went inside to pick it up. I noticed that they have a unique drive-up area on the right side of the restaurant for curbside, which is pretty neat. I've ordered takeout from here twice but I have never dined in. Overall good restaurant, particularly the food and value, but the front-of-house experience needs improvement. I would probably stop by again, especially because the Salmon Teriyaki Bento was really tasty. Food: 4 out of 5 First time here I ordered the Fish Tempura roll, the Avocado roll, and the Krab Blossoms. The Fish Tempura roll was tasty and the Krab Blossoms were hot and fresh - The sesame sauce that came with them was phenomenal. The avocado roll was underwhelming, but I believe it was because of the rice. It wasn't seasoned properly IMO. My second time I ordered the Krab Blossoms again and the Salmon Teriyaki Bento for dinner. The bento came with SO much stuff, I had leftovers for lunch the next day. It was flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend this dish. Hospitality: 2.5 out of 5 Honestly a miss. Not sure if it's because we ordered takeout both times, but the FOH staff working was not particularly friendly or welcoming. They gave the impression that they didn't care if we ordered there or not. I tipped on my first order (compulsory) but the next time I didn't. I'm just happy my order was correct. Value: 4 out of 5 Their menu has a bit of everything, from hand rolls, to sushi/sashimi, special rolls, hibachi, bento boxes, noodles, appetizers, and even kids meals. Prices ranges from 6.95 (the lowest priced roll) to 17.95 (the highest priced specialty roll) highest hibachi grill entree is 23.95 for dinner, the lowest is 16.95 (or 15.75 if you just want veggies). I say all of this to say it's not especially inexpensive, but there's a wide range of what you can enjoy here. If you're on a budget, you should stop by for lunch because your dollars will go a lot further. Parking: 4 out of 5 A few spaces available in the front. I saw a sign that indicated there was additional parking on the side of the restaurant.

This is my second time dining at Juju. I could've sworn that I had written a review that first time…read moreI came. (hmmm... ) Juju is a Japanese Izakaya style restaurant. So mostly asian tapas, a wide variety of cocktails that are either gin, suntori whisky, or vodka based, and then they have an omakase area as well. It's really easy to over-order here. Both my friend and I ordered 3 different small plates each and we ended up taking half of it home. 2 would've been enough honestly. My favorite savory item here believe it or not is the oyster mushroom skewer. It tastes sooo good! You can tell that its been marinated for a long time and its got that smoky, charcoal flavor that is irresistible. Their chicken karage is also incredible. It's super crispy and flavorful with that lemon sauce. Don't forget about the okonomiyaki. It is a savory panake that's cabbage based. You have to wait a while for them to prepare it, but its totally worth it. I'm mad myself for having waited so long to come back, and all things considered, it was not expensive when compared to other places in the area. Service was excellent, and I love the greeting you get when you walk in. I definitely plan to return.

We really enjoyed the Mentaiko Udon, it's so perfectly creamy and the noodles are chewy. It is a lot, this is something you can definitely share. The drinks here were also very good! I thought the beef tenderloin and ribeye skewers were good, but the brussels sprouts were amazing. Out of everything I ate there it was my favorite, I was really surprised! They also had the donuts, these weren't really my favorite and I felt were a little dry. I would definitely come back here for happy hour. If you wanna feel like you're in Japan, you should totally visit!
