Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night around 6:15pm. We came in originally for the happy hour because we had heard great things about it. Sadly we had missed it because happy hour ended at 6 - maybe we will have to stop by again a bit earlier. The staff was very friendly and we were quickly greeted by our waiter. She offered a few suggestions of dishes after explaining what our food preferences were. The atmosphere was casual. There were not too many other customers inside. There were lots of other tables. I would assume that it could get a bit busy during a friday or weekend. Not sure if this place would be too great for a large groups. It is a bit small inside. It is tucked inside the cutest little strip mall though. There are some other great stores along side. I ordered the miso soup that was hot, fresh and delicious. Just enough and for $2 I couldn't pass it up! Our sushi rolls came out quickly after. I ordered the volcano roll. It's presentation was attractive - I couldn't wait to dig in. It was full of flavor & was loaded with what looked like a crab salad on top. Delicious! We received a small chocolate chip cookie with our check. Incredible sushi in the winter park area. I hadn't eaten anything since early that morning and this spot didn't open till 4. So I was at the door at 4:05 starving. Monday-saturday is happy hour specials I did the two delux rolls for $20 dollars. Large rolls. Great portion. Super delicious. My server was great! Helped me choose rolls that might be my favorite. She recommended the Zombie with no asparagus and I added tempura crunch to it. And it was AMAZING. I also ordered the Crunchy dragon. Also super delicious. But I definitely preferred the Zombie Roll. Spicy and crunchy and salty it was awesome. And I ordered simple tempura vegetables for a appetizer, I know it's a simple dish but it was the best tempura I've ever had. First place I've been to that did tempura Perilla leaves. So thin and crispy and their dipping sauce was served hot. The chunks of sweet potatoes were THICK. Not thin weak little slices. Big thick juicy slices. Buttery soft inside and super light crispy outside. Only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was a whole fried sweet pepper. I ate everything on the plate minus half of the pepper. My fiancée and I went in about an hour before close and we were seated immediately on a two top table. A man came by to give us just some water and told us to enjoy our meal. Our server came soon after and I ordered a hot tea and some lava dips to start. The lava dips on the menu come in sets of 3 or 6 but she gave us the option of doing a 4 piece for $8 so both of us could have two, which was pretty cool. The tea had an odd taste to me. I guess I was just not used to the flavor or it wasn't for me but I drank it nonetheless because it was a cold night. The Lava dips were delicious. It was basically like a fried krab salad. They are definitely worth trying. My fiancée ordered the chicken tempura dinner with white rice and miso soup. The miso soup was one of the best miso soups we have ever tried. The flavor was amazing. The rice came in a cute little metal bowl. The tempura dinner plate was huge, it came with 6 pieces of chicken, with one tomato, one sweet potato, one mushroom, one broccoli and another veggie that I couldn't quite identify. All tempura battered and fried. They were all pretty good but needed some salt. Although, the sauce that came with it was so good and had the right amount of kick and it paired very nicely with the chicken and veggies. I ordered a crunchy dragon roll and a philly roll. They have a HUGE selection of different specialty rolls and also your basic rolls on the menu. The philly came from the basic rolls and the crunchy dragon was a specialty. The crunchy dragon roll was fantastic. I took a risk with that too, because it came with eel on top and I've never tried it before. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious it was! I would definitely recommend it and I would definitely order it again too. The philly roll was great too, just your basic smoked salmon with avocado and cream cheese. I was highly impressed by how much I could taste that smoked salmon flavor. It was great. All in all, I think this is definitely going to be my go-to place for sushi in Orlando. Quirky place, quirky staff and great food! I like a place with personality and this place has it. The owner loves to come and visit customers at their tables and chat with them for a bit. She is the sweetest lady! It's a bit smaller of a location with limited seating on site, but it's a great atmosphere if you can get a seat. They have a sushi bar you can sit at if you like to watch the rolls be made. You can always get to-go if you prefer to take things home! We've done this on a couple of occasions and it has been good, but we live really close, so keep that in mind! They do offer a happy hour - so be sure to check that out if you are interested in ordering multiple rolls, or sharing rolls amongst a table of people. I hafta say, I'm digging the new location! One reason- it's in the same fabulously quirky strip mall as it's former home. At first SL didn't look open. I had to walk up to the door to read the hours to verify since all of the blinds were down. But it was worth checking because the new space is bright, large, and inviting (once you're inside). I started with spring rolls and they were actually the highlight of the meal for me. They were presented in a really nice, upscale way with a little drizzle of sweet sauce on them (no dipping needed!). Another plus is that they did not feel overly oily. I don't order spring rolls often for this very reason, so I was pleasantly surprised. For my rolls I went pretty basic. They have a TON of fancy rolls but I new they had a lunch deal for two traditional rolls and a ginger salad so I went with that. The sweet potato roll was not as flavorful as I've had in the past, but it's my go-to vegetarian roll and I still enjoyed the hell out of it. The salmon roll was a standout. Simple, basic, and delicious. I've had salmon rolls and nigiri at other places that end up having tough white sections that are hard to bite through, but this salmon was top notch. It practically melted in my mouth, MMmmmmm. At the end of our meal the owner came by to check on us. She apologized for not having come by earlier and said that she likes to treat new customers (to her new location) to a little dessert. The dessert was a lemon cake and it was heavenly, but I was left more impressed by the fact that she had gone to every table and had quick conversations with everyone. First of all, we waited at least 10 mins to place our order, even though we were ready as soon as we got seated. Then it took at least 50 mins to get our food. When we were finally done with our food and ready for the check, it took forever to pay. Four other groups who who were seated after us got their food first and left before us. I recently discovered this gem while attending an event in the area. My party and I got a table as soon as we walked in. The restaurant is located on Corrine drive walking distance from East End market. Their menu has a lot different option from spicy rolls to vegetarian rolls, you will easily find something to fit your taste. I particularly like the fact that not only do they serve sushi and Japanese food but they also have a section on their menu for Korean dishes. I am one to always look for new place to check out and I am glad I found this one. I ordered the unbelievable roll and it was delicious. The roll itself was made of a mix of spicy tuna and smoked salmon topped with steamed shrimp with spicy mayo which gave it a little kick. The service was excellent, our orders didn't take too long to arrive and the staff was very friendly. When we were ready to leave they brought our checks with a chocolate chip cookie which I thought was neat. In conclusion, I really liked eating at Sushi Lola's, the portion are good, the service is awesome and will certainly be returning to try some of their other dishes very soon. read more

Hadn't been here in awhile, so my husband and I decided to try it again. It was a date night for us before a concert. We didn't have set dinner plans and he mentioned Sushi Lola and to check if they had a happy hour. I called and the young man that answered said they had it until 6pm Monday through Thursday. We got out order in before 6pm. Everything we got was so yummy!!! The service was great. We had 2 girls wait our table. Our food came out relatively fast! Way to redeem themselves from the last time we had visited, at their first location. A friend suggested this place and I had no idea this place was here. It was super busy and the tables are a little close but all staff were wearing masks. Can't decide if you're in the mood for Japanese or Korean food? Well I say why choose? Sushi Lola is this quaint little gem on Corrine Dr that offers the best of both worlds. Now I had gone here tonight for dinner, and to be honest I did not come in with such high expectations just because I haven't been so thrilled with too many sushi spots lately... but let me just tell you this place honestly just blew me away and might now be my "go to" for some good sushi. On a regular night before the pandemic every time I would drive past this place it would always looked packed but now I know why. Let's first talk about the freshness and quality. Now for an appetizer I had the spicy tuna and avocado tostada, and boy was it a nice portion for the price. When the plate came out you got two nice sized tostadas and they loaded it up with the spicy tuna. The tuna did not taste "fishy" at all which to me truly shows the quality of their fish. For the entree I had the bulgolgi bibimbop which came sizzling hot in a stone bowl and accompanied by the Korean banchan side dishes. The bibimbap was to die for, so flavorful and tons of different textures making it all feel like there was a party in my mouth.. I even got my friend to order and try it for the first time (she didn't even know what it was) and she fell in love as well. The owner also allowed us to try the Jalapeño Bomber appetizers and they were also pretty amazing. At the end of our dinner when we received our check we were pleasantly surprised that they gave us all a house made chocolate chip cookies in order to wrap up our meal in which I thought was such a nice gesture. I'll start off by saying this place has good sushi. But that is not the issue we constantly run into with sushi Lola. The service is always very slow and they refuse to get help on the weekends. We came in Friday night around 5:45 before the typical rush of a Friday night typically happens. The servers were all weeded and stressed out due to the restaurant being full. The server did apologize and said they were really busy but it's a Friday night and they should expect that to be honest. I brought my wife and two year old son and we ordered sushi for myself and my wife and gyoza for my kid. When taking the order the server was completely distracted looking at other tables and not paying attention as she was so busy. Because of this she only rang in my sushi and forgot the rest. It was a miserable experience having my two year old and wife constantly saying they are hungry as my sushi was just sitting there as I waited for the rest to come out. It took her 30 minutes to get back to the table to say she didn't put in the order. 30 minutes! Taking that long to realize a mistake is unacceptable. The entire experience was ruined and honestly with an experience like that we should never even gotten a check. She brought out the gyoza at least at the end and kept repeating they weren't charging us like they were doing us a favor. I had to stop by chic fil a on the way home for my wife and kid. My table wasn't the only table with this issue either. It seemed like every other table around us had issues with everything taking way too long. And to top it all off it took another twenty minutes to pay the check. It was a complete waste of our Friday night just sitting at a restaurant waiting for food that was never made. They need to respect their customers time. Also the stress the owners put on the servers with that many tables is contagious as we felt stressed out too. All they need is a couple more servers on Friday and Saturday night. It's an easy fix that the owners refuse to address and for what? To save a few dollars here and there? They are losing way more money the way they are running it with long wait times, incorrect orders, and unsatisfactory service. I will not be going back. This is the owners fault at the end of the day and it is a terrible way to run a business in my opinion. read more

Came here for a work thing and got lunch to go. I got the Dancing Shrimp Roll, the Goyza (pot stickers), and a salad with ginger dressing. The sushi roll was huge, but it was delicious and all the flavors worked really well together. The goyza were also really good, just wish there were more than 4, lol. The salad was good as well and I really liked the ginger dressing because as you can see they use fresh ginger, so it is light and refreshing. This review is based on takeout since I have never actually dined in the restaurant but I often order to-go here since I live nearby. I usually call ahead and they have my order ready within 15-20 mins and it never disappoints. It's consistently very good and the rolls are well-made. Hopefully when I have more time in the future, I will be able to dine in. I have found my sushi home! I came here for a weekday lunch break and sat at the bar. I was greeted by both the sushi chefs and then a motherly server who offered free miso soup because I "looked hungry" (I was!). I ordered the Korean dumplings ($6) and the Desiree roll ($14) from the Deluxe roll menu. The soup, dumplings, and sushi came out with perfect timing and all piping hot! There are 4 Korean dumplings per order and they come with a mildly spicy chili sauce, a teaspoon of this sauce is the perfect amount. The Desiree roll was a warm roll and had medium-rare salmon atop a sesame seed sticky rice rolled up with smoked salmon and cream cheese mixture. It was a big roll and the amount of food I received was more than enough for lunch-time. They offer sushi boats, which is a fun way to share with friends (and a great photo opp). We saw the rating on Yelp and decided to give it a try, well I must said we were extremely happy at our decision.
