2nd time at this location but have been to other sushi masa's. The sugarland, Plano and the one in Tampa were definitely 5 star ones. This one I wasn't quite sure when I went there first. So that's why I wanted to wait until I came back. It's not like I didn't enjoy either times esp since it's $20.95 for lunch ayce what does one expect? But the other time was dinner so I did expect a bit more. But with sushi one bad fish or experience ruins the whole experience. So here are my pros and cons: Pros- pretty interior -nice waiter Jimmy -things came out pretty fast -$20.95 for lunch ayce -salmon is good n fresh -hand rolls were good -shrimp tempura is good -courteous and seemingly friendly waitstaff -tuna wasn't bad for an Ayce place -unlimited drinks -ample parking -rolls aren't bad esp those with less rice -crab and shrimp cooked items wasn't bad if it wasn't bc of the rice Cons- young waitstaff most unprofessional -80% of waitstaff have AirPods in their ears and laughing in groups while not working (not Jimmy) -found a hair in our sushi (ahh no no gross) -too large rice in sushi -not age tofu -tonkatsu ramen was funky -forgot our miso soup -ice cream didn't taste like green tea or red bean -the rice wasn't the best which messes with the whole sushi experience -white fish was so fishy (tilapia??) -cut was wrong on some fish bc it was tendony -not consistent quality even with different sushi masa places Think will pass on this location next time we are in town~there are better sushi masa's in sugarland and elsewhere but thanks Jimmy for serving us well!

Went here for a weekday dinner. Usually I go to Sushi Masa for the AYCE, but this time we weren't hungry enough for it, so we decided to try the Sushi Bridge instead. Honestly, it was a pretty good deal. You get 8 pieces of sushi, 9 pieces of sashimi, plus a Crunchy Roll and Dragon Roll. The fish tasted good, the sushi was made well, and there was a nice variety of different pieces to try. No, it's not the best sushi you'll ever have, but for the price, I really don't have many complaints. Everything tasted good, and I left full. Sushi Masa is a solid sushi spot that's close to home, and even though it's a chain it ain't bad.

AYCE sushi that's actually good? Say no more. Sushi masa always hits the spot when I'm craving sushi! Almost every roll I've tried has been great! The AYCE comes with a drink and dessert. For the price and quality of sushi you get it's such a great deal! Customer service has always been quick and servers are friendly. Plenty of seating!

Tonight was just "ok". I asked for unagi without sauce. But it still came with sauce. Why? Because it's all pre marinated. Don't sound very fresh

We arrived at 12:15 on a Sunday and were seated right away. We ordered the Tokyo Twilight which we both enjoyed. For our meal we had the 225 roll and the Death Valley roll. For the cooked sushi lovers the 225 had a nice all around flavor with out being fishy. The Death Valley roll was a bit of a disappointment. It was very creamy and the crawfish were spicy but was missing something that would kick it up to the "that was great" notch. Our server was very attentive and patient as we asked for different menus and took awhile to order. The ambience had a festive atmosphere and even though the restaurant ended up being crowded it never was excessively loud so that we could not hear each other.

Great for Lunch special rolls and it comes with Salad but the Ginger dressing sucks. They also have Acye which is 20.95pp vs 3 rolls is the same price for the same price so you do the math. Came here for dinner acye and quality is no different from lunch. It's always packed. My go to spot in spring for a deal

Such a cute restaurant! Decorated very nice inside. Servers are friendly and helpful. We got all you can eat which was a great deal $33. The food comes out fast and is great quality! I would only say the tempura wasn't the best. But the sashimi was fantastic! Super fresh and great cuts. The sushi rolls had lots of options and were great. A definite must try place.

My friend was on my side of town for a meeting and suggested we grab dinner and suggested sushi! I don't do raw fish it's the texture in my mouth for me lol but I do love a cook roll. Our waiter recommended the all you can eat option for about $35 it was a good deal. FYI the menu is massive, appetizers, regular rolls, specialized rolls, teriyaki, fried rice, desserts, and drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks but not cocktails). The portions are small which I think is intentional so you can order multiple items without getting full fast. Just do overindulge because they do charge for leftover rolls that are not eaten. The food came out quickly and the restaurant is beautiful and great vibe. I enjoyed my rolls except I don't like imitation crab so I will definitely next time ask them to remove that. The only item I didn't like was the tempura chicken very dry and needed more seasoning. Think it's a goood option and it's graduation season so they were busy.

Been here more than a few times for really good sushi and hibachi. The service was really good night. Sometimes it's not so good depending on how busy it is. They have an all you can eat menu even for kids, but we usually get a sushi roll and hibachi. The sushi is good, kinda of small, and I don't like that most rolls have Kani. Never had to wait for a table which is nice. One of my favorites for hibachi.

Why 3 stars? Because the sushi was mostly fine, but there are better options in the area. --- --- --- We have had really good luck at sushi spots within a mile or two or Sushi Masa. One time, we were really close to coming here and made a last second decision to go to another place, and I've thought about coming back ever since. About a year later, it finally happened. I was surprised to find out that there were multiple all-you-can-eat menus. As good as that can be from a value standpoint, the best quality places are not serving up AYCE. I think the cliche ended up being true in this case. I started off with the gyoza and this was easily my favorite part of the meal. I might even go as far as saying that this was the best gyoza I've ever had. It tasted like it was super buttery, yet crisp at the same time. Don't come here without ordering this. 5 stars. Then came the sushi: I ordered the LSU, Out of Control and Yummy rolls. All of them were.... perfectly acceptable, but not remarkable. I was not really impressed with the menu either, as nothing particularly stood out as a must have. Well, one thing on the online menu did: the lobster bomb. But that wasn't available on the AYCE (understandably). LSU 4 stars. Yummy 3.5. Out of Control 3. I also ordered some shrimp tempura and it was easily the worst thing I had. I would give it 1.5 star. Fried Oreos for dessert were very underwhelming. 2.5 stars. All of this adds up to a place I don't necessarily need to return to.

Was so hopeful for this place but their portions are so small and the quality is not as good as other AYCE places. Their Sugarland location has better service and better food IMO. When you walk in, it's a spacious restaurant and has cute decor. The service is so so slow here. They really need to train their waiters a lot better. We've only received maybe 2 out of 5 times visiting this location good service. When I tell you the portions for AYCE are small, they are SMALL. You have to order at least two times as much of the same item especially if it is sashimi. The cooked fried rice and appetizers are good. Their chicken katsu has been the best. The good thing too is that you can get a free drink with AYCE.

I wasn't a huge sushi fan but let me tell you after first time I visited this place with my oldest son I'm a regular love this place I always go with the all you can eat menu & they don't stop bringing out sushi rolls the waiters take their time & explain & are very knowledgeable about items on menu & food is excellent very fresh I highly recommend you try them out you won't be disappointed read more

This place has an all you can eat deal for $30.95. It includes most all menu items. Jimmy, the server, was fantastic and attentive. He explained everything very well and checked in frequently. Great all you can eat menu and regular menu. I'll let others argue about authenticity, but I know what I like. Some good options for non-fish eaters and vegetarians too. Lunch all-you-can-eat is a particularly good value but give the other lunch specials a look too. Good on them for doing the specials 7 days a week. I came hungry and left happy. Oh, and I LOVE the pineapple rice! read more

We went ace during lunch and requested for dinner all you can eat menu for 4. Sashimi came out really small and thin. Sushi rolls are good but very disappointed with sashimi. Waitress (Lisa) was attentive but she has no control over the kitchen. We came from Round Rock for it. Not worth the trip. read more

We're come here at least once per week. We've eaten at probably every sushi place in the spring/woodlands area and this definitely ranks in our top 3. We generally choose this place over the other locations because the price is right, especially with the all you can eat. The all you can eat dinner is a little more than the lunch price, but has a better selection. The staff is always nice. The large room in the back right is too cold for us, so we usually ask to sit in the smaller area to the left. read more

Food is decent but service is terrible. Waited long to even get my drink or first round of food ordered and then even long in between. Took my daughter to the bathroom and walked back to our table cleared. My waiter knew food was dropped off that I didn't get but didn't think to pay attention and stop the buser from taking my items away. I probably could have just walked off at that point without paying because of the zero accountability at my table. Absolutely sad that places like this won't end up lasting due to horrible service. read more

I've been twice now. Both times were great. First time our server was Santiago. He did a great job waiting on us and the food was great. Last night my husband and I went and it was his first wine and he's pretty picky. We had a server named Tony who was excellent and very attentive. Even our bus boy, Cameron was polite and went over and above what he had to do even filling our drinks again without us asking. I'm really happy with the food and the service. That's a very rare find! We will be back. read more

I tried this place for the first time today for lunch. I was waiting for it to open! Apparently it's only been for a month. I sat at the sushi bar and chatted with the Sushi chefs. Everyone here is very attentive and they greet you with a smile as soon as you walk in the door. The place is very clean and such a warm welcome place. I ordered from the all you can eat menu. Every roll I ordered was fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back. I honestly can't say enough. read more

Came here not knowing what to expect and will absolutely be going back. Food all tasted fresh and amazing. A lot less fried fried food than their counterpart Chi and all you can eat + a alcoholic drink for the same price. Service was great. Every 7-10 minutes we were checked up on asking if wanted to order for more stuff. The food was good, of course it wasn't nobu quality but for the price you get for the all you can eat. It is not bad at all. The atmosphere was clean. If you want a cheap lunch($20 per person)/dinner($30 per person) for all you can eat. This is the place. Just try to watch out what you order, whatever is not finished it's an extra charge. read more

My husband and I were referred to Sushi Masa when my co-worker learned we were eating out for Chinese food for dinner. We were delighted to find a clean, attractive atmosphere; the booth was comfortable and cushy! (I have lower lumbar issues). Our waiter Aerial made a fantastic first impression ! We shared that our visit was a first and we had questions about the menu. He was just as delighted to serve us and he answered all our questions in detail. He was patient and professional. He served us with urgency and gave us his inviting attitude throughout our experience. WELL DONE ! We are from Las Vegas, so most cases have been disappointing us in the Spring/Houston area-- but now that we've found this gem we aren't going anywhere else. I don't typically leave reviews, even when I'm very satisfied with an experience, but our server was just amazing. It was very busy on a Saturday night and I could see he had his hands full, but we honestly had such a great experience from him that even if everything went wrong, it still would've been outstanding!
