So the food here is good, but it's not the best. What I mean by that is that there's a lot of really good sushi places here in Las Vegas and this isn't one that I would recommend if someone is looking for exceptional sushi.

Came at 4pm and just missed the lunch hour. Would recommend coming for lunch or an early dinner to catch the nicer prices. Host was very welcoming upon arrival! We ordered a variety of rolls à la carte, everything was just okay. Supreme salmon roll was definitely a standout for our group. Pretty decent prices overall but nothing special, would recommend other sushi spots if in the area.

Been a bit since we came here, simply because we moved away from this neighborhood. We were close today and stopped in! Glad we did! We had the pleasure of being served by Kaleigh today! She is Awesome! This place has been rocking out Top Quality Sushi for a long time. It's a bit small but they make it work! Lively and fun!

I've been going to the Sushi Mon on Sahara since I was a kid. I was excited to move to this side of town and be close to this other location. It's my absolute favorite sushi restaurant in the whole city. It's tiny inside but the staff is always so nice and the service is quick. My go-to order would include the Lemon Roll, Baked Mussels, Unagi Nigiri and the Lychee Sherbet for dessert.

We come here a lot. At least once a month. It's a good price for good quality sushi. We always start with the limited items. We really enjoy their nigiri selections. The service team is very attentive. They are very quick to refill your drink and take new food orders. It doesn't take long to get seated here. Seating arrangements is very spacious. This is one of our favorite places to get sushi away for the Las Vegas Strip or Chinatown.

Stopped by for a quick bite. Service was ok. I opted to sit at the bar and the hostess told me I could sit anywhere so I chose to sit 2nd seat from the wall. (Didn't want to sit against the wall.) She didn't say anything. But, when the server came to me, she said if I had someone else dining with me and I said no. She said I should have sat on the far left, against the wall. Hmm ok. If they need me to move if it gets busy, I'll be happy to move. She then said NO we won't move you when you've already seated. Hmm ok... Moving on.. I had a glass of wine, miso soup and a Tiger Roll. It was really good and fresh. They also offer AYCE. Overall, this review would have been a 4-5 STARS but because of my interaction regarding where I sat (again the hostess sat me there) I would've rated them higher. Another server I interacted with was very nice. I asked her should I move and she was like "no...of course not. You're fine. Stay there."

I first went to Goyemon in my early 20s. Sushi Mon on Sahara since my mid 20s. I have enjoyed their menu over the years but I have actually never gone to the Sushi Mon on Maryland until yesterday. I went to meet my bestie here for lunch and we had a great time. AYCE lunch is reasonable at $28.95. I got the seaweed salad to start which is a small portion but was still great. Baked mussels were okay, but I have had better. Masago roll was great. Supreme salmon roll is a favorite of mine and they were generous with the portions of fish so I was very thankful for that. (Sorry, I didn't snap a pic of the Supreme Salmon roll!) No name roll was great and I love this roll because of the asparagus! Ecstasy roll has always been a favorite, but this wasn't as flavorful as I remember ..just okay this time. Freshwater eel was small and not as flavorful either. Jellyfish was tasty! Spider roll was a star as always!! Love love loveeee the Sushi Mon Spider roll! Dessert was fried ice cream which was fine. Service was friendly and great! I love that most of the specialty rolls you can order in 1/2 rolls too. This location is small but still had good vibes.

Great service! Staff were so nice and friendly! Ambiance was pretty chill. We got the crispy tuna, lemon roll, Sashimi salad was good with big sashimi pieces, sexy roll. My parents got the udon noodle soup. The sushi were okay. The sashimi and nigiri didn't taste like good quality for me. I had better. I do like how they used less rice for the sushis. Service here was awesome! Our waiter was on top of it! He and the other staff were very attentive to our group even when it's busy.

We have been back several times since our last review, and we just love it. It's our favorite! Service is always quick, we're in and out in like 20 minutes Lol it's affordable & reasonable. We got 2 half baked rolls, 1 hand roll, and 2 special rolls for about $45 before tip. I'm full and content every time. The rolls are consistently good, I just love it. Today, I decided to try something new! I love that they offer half rolls so I can try different rolls without wasting food. My usual is an OID roll. Today, I ordered the baked 428 roll. This roll has grilled chicken spread with yum yum sauce, cream cheese eel sauce & spicy sauce. I loved it! I'm not sure what my favorite roll is anymore. If you come during a busy time, it can get crowded, BUT the staff is EFFICIENT. They know how to flip tables. Such a great team from the back of house to the front of house. Plus they are all very friendly and you get multiple goodbyes as you are leaving. I love it here!

First time trying out this AYCE sushi spot! First of all I really like the location! Not having to drive all the way to chinatown for good sushi. The place is pretty small inside but they got us in right away and it never seemed to backed up. The quality of fish is really good! The bluefin tuna melts in your mouth! Also really liked the salmon belly and yellowtail. The rice to fish ratio is decent but nothing special. The service was good at first but the server stopped being as attentive after our 2nd round of ordering. Overall good experience and would come back if I don't want to drive too far.

This is my simple roll that Sushimon refused to make for me. Shout out to "The Sushi" you have my business.

Does this location have fountain drinks with refills?

    Yes!

How does this compare to Goyemon? I just learned of the heartbreaking news that they're permanently closed. 😭

Will I be able to use my stamp card from Goyemon?

yes you can! the only cards they don't accept are the ones from sushimon on saharah.

Do you take reservations for weekend dinners?

They don't take reservations but u can call to see if they have open tables before u head out there. Thats what I normally do and I do end up with a table without waiting. I hope this helps u and enjoy

When is lunch hours, dinner, late night hours, for different ayce price?

    Is sushi mon still AYCE?

    Yes 27.00

Do they have drink specials, specifically sake and beer?

I dont think they do... i would have been drinking like crazy if they did when i went haha

    Do they have take out?

    Yes

    All you can eat?

Absolutely! $23 for lunch and I believe $26 for dinner. I would recommend most of the five piece rolls, definitely get your money's worth, especially with non alcoholic beverages and desserts.

    Reservations needed or recommended?

    Not at all.

Do they use real crab or imitation?

In the California roll it is artificial

45mins? Do they really enforce this time limit for ayce?

No, we do not enforce a time limit for AYCE

Do they have happy hour? When?

Midnight until they're closed they offer lunch price again.

Which sushi place used black beans instead of rice for rolls?

    Not sure

Even more impressive was that hot items came out very, very quickly. Matthew, my server was a cool laid-back guy who was super attentive. Everything he recommended was great! And he checked on almost everything I ordered! Something else impressive was how quickly they clean cleared and reset the tables. It was a team effort. Everyone who was in the restaurant serving or busing helped replace the items on the table. It was very cool to see. I have to mention Cassie, the first and last person I talked to. She greeted me at the door with a happy smile, asked if this was my first time and kindly recommended a lot of wonderful items when explaining the menu. On the way out she thanked me for coming. It was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. It was so good that we ate it before we even thought about taking a picture! I ended up finding a photo of it on TARU's website because it deserved to be included. Next, we had a Salmon Roll, and then we decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and asked him to make us a Chef's Surprise. He prepared a beautiful plate featuring four different types of fish, and this time we remembered to take a picture! Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. To finish the evening, the chef surprised us with a dessert of fresh oranges with a touch of liqueur. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
