The gyoza and crunch roll were both good, and the ramen hit the spot. My only critiques were that the ramen egg was a little overcooked and the spicy edamame lacked flavor. It tasted like someone sprinkled garlic and spicy crunch on top and called it a day. Despite my very thorough quality control efforts, we still managed to eat every last bite. Well the experience was great except a few things. Our server Monse was phenomenal, if it wasn't for her amazing customer service I woudlve given this place a 2star. We were first greeted by Jackie, who gave us attitude for asking for a booth, then came and helped throughout our dinner but everytime he came over he had an attitude. Acted as if he was the manager. It did feel that we waited an abnormal amount of time to get a menu and get our food, considering the restaurant wasn't busy, but it could have been understaffed. Onto the food- we had the original curry and the curry ramen. The curry ramen was very heavy, but the flavor was exceptional, and I would eat it again. Exact same for the original curry, except that was eaten all. The staff were nice as well, and we did enjoy a nice soju as well. Overall, I would go again to try something new. The reason I gave them three stars is because at the time of my visit, the bathroom was unkempt. The menu has cold and hot sake, with no descriptions. I asked if they had cold, unfiltered sake. This led to much confusion and the server asking me if I want hot sake. After a few weird moments, I did manage to get cold sake that was an odd greenish straw color. I would say the ramen was unenthusiastic. Okay broth, but very little umami. We had a late lunch with 3 adults and 2 babies who didn't eat as they had there lunch earlier at McDonald's . When I received my bill there was a gratuity charge of 18% so I questioned the waitress and with an attitude she said it doesn't matter 5 people no matter if adults or babies they still charge!!! I've only ever had black garlic ramen. Not all ramen places offer it, this is the only place I have visited that has it. Other places just offer the oil, which is still good! Ordered the black garlic ramen, chicken karaage, gyoza, and the shrimp fried rice. Black Garlic ramen- broth was very watery, bland and no flavor which the menu said (tonkotsu pork broth) which didn't taste like any. Char siu wasnt as flavorful nor soft. Out of all places I tried black garlic ramen, this was the least favorite. Chicken Karaage- not tasteful nor tasted like any normal chicken karaage. Breading was bland. Gyoza and shrimp fried rice- it was okay, normal taste, like other restaurants. Wouldn't recommend the taste of the black garlic ramen as I tasted better for the same price. My colleague and I swung in there to order Ramen to go last week. She had the chicken and I had the pork katsu ramen. The portions were very filling. I love watching the ways that noodle places pack ramen to-go and this place did it well. I didn't have a problem combining and mixing everything back at my hotel room.
