Well the experience was great except a few things. Our server Monse was phenomenal, if it wasn't for her amazing customer service I woudlve given this place a 2star. We were first greeted by Jackie, who gave us attitude for asking for a booth, then came and helped throughout our dinner but everytime he came over he had an attitude. Acted as if he was the manager. Extremely rude!! Not to mention we had some floatys in our sake becuase they didn't clean the dishes correctly. Now back to the FOOD! The curry is some of the best I've ever had! It was perfectly cooked and the flaky panko gave it a crunchy bite every time. We got thr gyoza and they were ok, nothing to go home about. Their chicken karaage was exceptional!! Golden brown super clean not heavy nor oily. HIGHY recommend!! Ask for monse and you should have an amazing experience. It gets five stars for price point. A drink and three side for $10! Even finding Ramen for less than $15 these days is unusual. Friendly staff just a normal diner atmosphere nothing fancy. Enjoyed the crunchy outside of the takoyaki and had a good shoyu ramen. read more

Went here for the first time, and the atmosphere was pretty quiet (We went around 3 on a weekday), which we enjoy. It did feel that we waited an abnormal amount of time to get a menu and get our food, considering the restaurant wasn't busy, but it could have been understaffed. Onto the food- we had the original curry and the curry ramen. The curry ramen was very heavy, but the flavor was exceptional, and I would eat it again. Exact same for the original curry, except that was eaten all. The staff were nice as well, and we did enjoy a nice soju as well. Overall, I would go again to try something new. The reason I gave them three stars is because at the time of my visit, the bathroom was unkempt. It did seem as if someone had gotten sick, so I hope they don't look like that all the time of course. read more

Lackluster ramen with stuck in quicksand service. I saw this place was near my hotel and made a plan to visit. Unfortunately, my bar for ramen was too high. The menu has cold and hot sake, with no descriptions. I asked if they had cold, unfiltered sake. This led to much confusion and the server asking me if I want hot sake. After a few weird moments, I did manage to get cold sake that was an odd greenish straw color. I would say the ramen was unenthusiastic. Okay broth, but very little umami. The thing that got me was the egg. A solid, cold hard boiled egg. Not even a ramen egg! It didn't feel like ramen without a soft boiled egg with a sou sauce tan exterior. We had a late lunch with 3 adults and 2 babies who didn't eat as they had there lunch earlier at McDonald's . When I received my bill there was a gratuity charge of 18% so I questioned the waitress and with an attitude she said it doesn't matter 5 people no matter if adults or babies they still charge!!! Sorry to say but those places have great Japanese food but this place will make you forget them. The curry was on point! It's creamy and full of flavor. The pork katsu was crispy and tender. I've been here a couple of times, usually after finishing a visit to the Bass Pro Shop and if I'm not in the mood for the restaurants at the casino this is my favorite place to go. I love the decor of the restaurant. The restaurant is sleek and a pretty good size. I like the modern design. It's a very clean restaurant and I like that the restroom is large. Now for the food. I've only ever had black garlic ramen. Not all ramen places offer it, this is the only place I have visited that has it. Other places just offer the oil, which is still good! I think I devour the ramen every time I visit, it's so good. And this place puts a lot of stuff in it! Live very close by to this place and haven't ate at this place before. Did a take out order instead cause wasn't feeling of dining in. Ordered the black garlic ramen, chicken karaage, gyoza, and the shrimp fried rice. Black Garlic ramen- broth was very watery, bland and no flavor which the menu said (tonkotsu pork broth) which didn't taste like any. Char siu wasnt as flavorful nor soft. Out of all places I tried black garlic ramen, this was the least favorite. Chicken Karaage- not tasteful nor tasted like any normal chicken karaage. Breading was bland. Gyoza and shrimp fried rice- it was okay, normal taste, like other restaurants. Wouldn't recommend the taste of the black garlic ramen as I tasted better for the same price. Everyone is recommending their curry but we'll see the next time to try that. read more

Also having melon soda from Japan was a must have menu item I was glad to see they had. If you've been to zen curry then you have to come here and tell me what you think. Another nice option in the area for various options to suit many tastes. Ramen and curry. I would love an udon option but that isn't as popular as ramen I suppose. The curry was nice with a little skimpy on the actual chicken inside the fried cutlet and heavier on the reading. Lots of rice relative to the chicken as well.
