Photo update. I eat here regularly, but in the last 9 days, we had 3 dinner meals. Do yourself a favor and gift yourself an amazing visit to this spot. Food is served here, with love.

    Baked green muscles

What a lovely new addition to the Silverado ranch area. A non ayce but reasonably priced Japanese restaurant with good quality food. We went during lunch, and at first were the only customers. Its a smaller space, and nice and quiet. We got baked green muscles, a charashi bowl, a kids chicken teriyaki plate, spicy garlic edemame, and a sunset roll. The baked green muscles were cooked without them becoming to tough. The sauce was good, but not as addictive as some places. The charashi I had asked if they could not put octopus in it. They said that would be fine, but then it ended up having octopus. I had asked if it had not suddenly been possible and she apologized for the mix up offering to replace the bowl. I said no need to replace everything, but if she had an alternative that would be nice to add which she did. It also came with a side sale with wonderful addictive dressing I liked so much I dipped my fish in it, and a miso soup. The rice in the bowl was very nicely seasoned. The fish was fresh and they were generous with the amount of sashimi inside for the price. Obviously there are levels of sashimi cuts, and if you want your fish a bit more buttery it will cost a pretty penny. The sunset roll was well constructed, beautiful, and a roll I would totally get again. The kids teriyaki plate had edemame, gyoza, an orange slice, and rice as well. The meat was a little saltier than sweet for me personally. My child is not super food motivated so we snacked on it after giving up on him eating it. My fiance said the garlic edemame sauce was delicious. Overall this is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant to enjoy for lunch or dinner, thats clean, has good food, no long wait times, and all without breaking the bank. They have a variety of options on the menu that should hit most people's cravings when wanting to grab some Japanese food together. I recommend supporting this new business!

I'm sitting at their sushi bar writing this, having come back a second day in a row for sushi. This place is affordable, QUALITY sushi, and friendly service. Their menu has something for everyone. It's a clean, bright environment that is relaxing and comfortable to enjoy a meal in. Sushi has been my favorite food my whole life, and I'm a tough critic when it comes to my fish. I'm so excited to make Kaito my regular spot and introduce it to friends!

This new sushi restaurant by Island Pacific just opened, and we tried it... and loved it!! It was pretty busy on a Friday night, so the service was a little on the slower side, but everyone was really nice. The restaurant itself is really cute! We ordered the premium sushi plate with the spider roll as well as the salmon skin roll. Everything was delicious, and this was the best salmon skin roll we've had in Vegas so far! Will definitely be coming back for more.

Upon walking in I immediately felt like I was transported to a sushi restaurant in Japan. The decor is clean, sleek and modern with ample lighting and wooden paneled walls. My partner and I arrived at 7:30pm on a Thursday and were promptly seated. The restaurant itself was empty, so it may have been because of that, but we got our food and drinks almost immediately and finished our meal within 30 minutes. The price for the quality is more than reasonable. There are chirashi and sashimi bowl options for $30-45. As for what we ordered we did indulge a bit with the MUST try dry aged king salmon and madei snapper sashimi, toro nigiri, uni nigiri, scallop nigiri (HEAVENLY), salmon roe ikura nigiri, tuna maguro nigiri, deep fried soft shell crab, seaweed salad, and miso soup (perfect amount of umami). The chefs were also so generous and gave us complimentary toro with caviar and chilled diced oranges for dessert. Overall I think this spot is a hidden gem that deserves much more recognition. It's well worth the hype and the price. You won't find a better sushi spot on this side of town.

Tonight we came here for the first time. We always like restaurants that take reservations. We ordered the sashimi platter, soft shell crab, mixed tempura and California roll with real crab. We came at 5:00 and it was quiet with a few people at the sushi bar. They were expecting a dinner party of 20. The sashimi was delicious. We liked it and will return when we are craving fresh sashimi.

I'm so glad that there is a go-to sushi spot right up the street from me now. We just stopped in to eat a quick bite for lunch but everything was great. We started with the salmon skin salad-- excellent in taste and the skin was freshly fried crisp (as opposed to some other places that have the skin pre-fried earlier in the day). We moved on to nigiri next. We ordered the unagi, salmon belly, saba, madai, hotate, and uni. All were spectacular. The pieces were also large, so that's always a plus. -Definitely will be back. I hope that as they build more business, they start bringing in more types of harder to get fish

We have been here twice and both times the food has been great. Very friendly staff. The first visit it was not crowded and service was quick, this second visit was on a Saturday and I made a reservation for 7pm. When we arrived it was much busier, there were only 2 empty tables. We had a very short wait while the one server cleaned the table. The service was very slow the second time, just getting water to the table was a long wait. I believe the problem is they only have one server. They are small with only about 6 tables, but they also do take out and you can sit at the sushi bar. It's too much for only 1 server. Staffing on busy nights is the only problem I see here. I would still recommend for the food and friendliness.

What drew us to this restaurant was the dry aging they promoted on Yelp. The restaurant looked new and nice. Service was attentive. The waitress recommended the Screaming O Salad and the Kaito Roll. I asked about the dry aged fish. One of them was the madai. We tried the dry aged madai nigiri. I didn't really like the Kaito Roll since it had too much going on flavor-wise. If you like filling and hearty roll, this roll might be for you. The best bang for buck would be the lunch and dinner set items on the menu. I hope management posts the full menu online since I couldn't find it. That will draw more customers. There was nothing negative or remarkable during the visit. Give this place a try if you live near the Silverado Ranch/ Liberty High School area. #supportlocal I noticed that they incentivize reviews by offering a free item. Is this why all the other reviews are 5 stars? It could also be because this restaurant is new and they don't want to crush their spirit. I wrote this review without the incentive.

Beautiful, intimate place with a small quantity of tables and bar seating. This restaurant has a great selection of sushi and sashimi and everything was fresh and delicious. Prices were reasonable and the service was super accommodating.

Perfect random date night after a meeting. We sat at the bar. Sushi chef and staff were friendly. We had sashimi platter, unagi don and a few orders of nigiri that I didn't take a picture. Toro was bomb, so fatty and melt in my mouth. Definitely come back here again.

Fuji roll. Philly roll. Cali roll.

Small place, but I took it to go. About 5 or 6 tables and only like 6ish seats at the bar. But wow. Really good! Rolls are stuffed and well priced. Order was ready quick and service was quick. I'll be back!!

The best local Japanese restaurant with Nobu quality fish. They have wild aged fish and real crab, which most local spots do not. I've been many times already! A must try spot if you're more quality over quantity. Have told many friends about this place and all have been regulars now too.

Assuming you coordinate your order(s) with your table and don't order rolls with a lot of rice, it's totally doable to get a great bang for your buck here! Drink wise: 10/10 would recommend the Strawberry Lychee Soju cocktail Nicole's customer service was on point during my family's most recent visit. Everything we ordered came out at a reasonable time and our water jug was proactively refilled without us having to flag her down. She even greeted my dad for Father's Day! That was a lovely touch, seeing as we came in right before the dinner rush. Coming from a brief food service background myself and in the interest of mindfulness, I try to make ordering a lot of items as easy as possible. It helps a to have a server that's personable and attentive. We're so thankful for her taking such great care of us! Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. If you know Japanese - even if it's just a few phrases, speak with him as he will be delighted. He was absolutely tickled when we said arigato and he shared that he is originally from Kyoto.
