I came to Kaito Sushi for a quick lunch one day, and while the overall experience was decent, the food itself lands this place a 3-star review. We ordered the sashimi platter and one of the riceless rolls. Given how expensive the prices were, I found the fish quality to be surprisingly low grade. Honestly, the quality here is actually worse than most of the All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi places in town. Both the yellowtail and the albacore were extremely stringy, which is a dead giveaway for a poor, cheap cut of fish. To make matters worse, the portion sizes were quite small. Just these two items, including tax and tip, ended up costing around $76. We easily could have spent less money and gotten a lot more food and much better quality food at Top Sushi just down the road. On the bright side, the service was very nice and attentive throughout our meal. However, because of the sub-par fish quality and high prices, I just won't be coming back for the food.

Pretty yummy sushi we got on our way out of Vegas! We shared a few rolls, and folks got various pieces of nigiri. I got the premium special, which came with 7pc nigiri and a specialty roll. My favorite was the ine I ordered - the ultimate tuna roll, which was filled with fresh spicy tuna and topped with delicious slices of bluefin. It hit the right balance of fresh and flavorful with their garlic sauce. The OMG, the heart attack, and the spider roll were good but the fresh roll was everything. My auntie loved the uni, which I regret not trying. I would have, except the service was pretty slow since there was only one waitress and a couple sushi chefs. The place itself was small, cozy, but pretty packed. Next time I would get the ultimate tuna and hand pick some nigiri rather than getting their set, so that I can try the ones I'm curious about - I want to see what their dry aged fish is all about.

Chef special. Surprise at the end.

This is the cutest, quaint spot we happened upon. It's been a while since I've avoided the ayce places (shhh don't judge me), and what a happy surprise to find this place. The food is so fresh, everything that had a heated element was piping hot. And the service was swift and polite. The chef even surprised me and my friend with that shrimp. Gosh already can't wait to come back!

Kaito Sushi was an excellent stop for us tonight. It's a small restaurant, but chill vibe, and excellent service. We really enjoyed the decor here, and a big sushi bar so we could spread out and eyeball the product. What works here? Easy choice, both the food and the prices! For our entire bill which included: (4) pieces of salmon belly, ama ebi, salmon, kanpachi, smoked salmon, uni, even the green mussels (not pictured) a large Asahi bottle, and large cold sake....$88! Beat that price! We have been to places where the salmon belly alone is $10 per piece - we had four of those. A hidden gem that has excellent bang for your buck!

First and foremost, WOW! Extremely impressed with the quality of the fresh ingredients. The staff and chef's are top notch. They even send us samples of their new sushi to test. The servers are extremely sweet and attentive. This is a diamond in the rough. A true gem in Las Vegas. Chill atmosphere. This is by far the best sushi restaurant in town.

The best sushi place so far. Everything fresh and served with gratitude. Been dining to this establishment since it's opening. The staffs and the owner are humble people and very appreciative to serve their customers.

First time here. Everything I got was fresh and delicious. Salmon sushi was incredible, and so was the eel roll. Definitely coming back. Love the orange slices they give after your meal.

What a lovely new addition to the Silverado ranch area. A non ayce but reasonably priced Japanese restaurant with good quality food. We went during lunch, and at first were the only customers. Its a smaller space, and nice and quiet. We got baked green muscles, a charashi bowl, a kids chicken teriyaki plate, spicy garlic edemame, and a sunset roll. The baked green muscles were cooked without them becoming to tough. The sauce was good, but not as addictive as some places. The charashi I had asked if they could not put octopus in it. They said that would be fine, but then it ended up having octopus. I had asked if it had not suddenly been possible and she apologized for the mix up offering to replace the bowl. I said no need to replace everything, but if she had an alternative that would be nice to add which she did. It also came with a side sale with wonderful addictive dressing I liked so much I dipped my fish in it, and a miso soup. The rice in the bowl was very nicely seasoned. The fish was fresh and they were generous with the amount of sashimi inside for the price. Obviously there are levels of sashimi cuts, and if you want your fish a bit more buttery it will cost a pretty penny. The sunset roll was well constructed, beautiful, and a roll I would totally get again. The kids teriyaki plate had edemame, gyoza, an orange slice, and rice as well. The meat was a little saltier than sweet for me personally. My child is not super food motivated so we snacked on it after giving up on him eating it. My fiance said the garlic edemame sauce was delicious. Overall this is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant to enjoy for lunch or dinner, thats clean, has good food, no long wait times, and all without breaking the bank. They have a variety of options on the menu that should hit most people's cravings when wanting to grab some Japanese food together. I recommend supporting this new business!

The best sushi I've had in a while, and on top of it the space is beautiful with wonderful, attentive staff. A great birthday dinner (:

Upon walking in I immediately felt like I was transported to a sushi restaurant in Japan. The decor is clean, sleek and modern with ample lighting and wooden paneled walls. My partner and I arrived at 7:30pm on a Thursday and were promptly seated. The restaurant itself was empty, so it may have been because of that, but we got our food and drinks almost immediately and finished our meal within 30 minutes. The price for the quality is more than reasonable. There are chirashi and sashimi bowl options for $30-45. As for what we ordered we did indulge a bit with the MUST try dry aged king salmon and madei snapper sashimi, toro nigiri, uni nigiri, scallop nigiri (HEAVENLY), salmon roe ikura nigiri, tuna maguro nigiri, deep fried soft shell crab, seaweed salad, and miso soup (perfect amount of umami). The chefs were also so generous and gave us complimentary toro with caviar and chilled diced oranges for dessert. Overall I think this spot is a hidden gem that deserves much more recognition. It's well worth the hype and the price. You won't find a better sushi spot on this side of town.

    Salmon Salad (4 stars)

I'm so glad that there is a go-to sushi spot right up the street from me now. We just stopped in to eat a quick bite for lunch but everything was great. We started with the salmon skin salad-- excellent in taste and the skin was freshly fried crisp (as opposed to some other places that have the skin pre-fried earlier in the day). We moved on to nigiri next. We ordered the unagi, salmon belly, saba, madai, hotate, and uni. All were spectacular. The pieces were also large, so that's always a plus. -Definitely will be back. I hope that as they build more business, they start bringing in more types of harder to get fish

What drew us to this restaurant was the dry aging they promoted on Yelp. The restaurant looked new and nice. Service was attentive. The waitress recommended the Screaming O Salad and the Kaito Roll. I asked about the dry aged fish. One of them was the madai. We tried the dry aged madai nigiri. I didn't really like the Kaito Roll since it had too much going on flavor-wise. If you like filling and hearty roll, this roll might be for you. The best bang for buck would be the lunch and dinner set items on the menu. I hope management posts the full menu online since I couldn't find it. That will draw more customers. There was nothing negative or remarkable during the visit. Give this place a try if you live near the Silverado Ranch/ Liberty High School area. #supportlocal I noticed that they incentivize reviews by offering a free item. Is this why all the other reviews are 5 stars? It could also be because this restaurant is new and they don't want to crush their spirit. I wrote this review without the incentive.

Even more impressive was that hot items came out very, very quickly. Matthew, my server was a cool laid-back guy who was super attentive. Everything he recommended was great! And he checked on almost everything I ordered! Something else impressive was how quickly they clean cleared and reset the tables. It was a team effort. Everyone who was in the restaurant serving or busing helped replace the items on the table. It was very cool to see. I have to mention Cassie, the first and last person I talked to. She greeted me at the door with a happy smile, asked if this was my first time and kindly recommended a lot of wonderful items when explaining the menu. On the way out she thanked me for coming. The space was simply but well decorated. They picked a great upbeat soundtrack for midday. It was a wonderful meal all around! I'll be back for sure.

You could immediately tell how talented and experienced he was just by watching his knife skills and the care he put into every dish. We started with the Albacore Tuna, cut into six beautiful slices. It was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. It was so good that we ate it before we even thought about taking a picture! I ended up finding a photo of it on TARU's website because it deserved to be included. Next, we had a Salmon Roll, and then we decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and asked him to make us a Chef's Surprise. He prepared a beautiful plate featuring four different types of fish, and this time we remembered to take a picture! Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. To finish the evening, the chef surprised us with a dessert of fresh oranges with a touch of liqueur. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. What really made the evening memorable was the combination of excellent sushi and the personal experience at the sushi bar. Our chef was cordial, engaging, and clearly very talented at his craft.
