From start to finish this place was amazing. The servers are super friendly and offer up lots of suggestions. The sushi chefs are fast and make some great dishes. The menu is large and very easy to read, our food was coming out fast and very tasty. The restaurant is very modern and Nicely decorated very Asian, super clean and very inviting. The sushi is very well made and all the side dishes are amazing, there is so many things that I have not tried so I have to go back. The miso soup was also very tasty. I haven't even left yet and had to jump on and leave a review of this place. The service is excellent. Truly the kindest and most attentive staff in Vegas works here. We go to a lot of the popular sushi spots you'll usually hear about in the spring mountain area. This spot has immediately stolen my slot for best sushi in town. The salmon belly was tender and melt in your mouth. The variety of sushi rolls we ordered were significantly more flavorful than what I'm used to in the area. You can tell they care about the quality of their craft here. Ask for the dynamite dish (it's not listed on the menu), it's incredible. I'm a sucker for spam so the mahalo roll caught my eye immediately and was amazing. Love this spot and we will be back again and again. read more

I came here on a quiet weekday night to grab some sushi. For whatever reason I had a fix for fish. Atmosphere is moderately loud, it's definitely a busy neighborhood joint. For the price, I guess the food is reasonable. Fish was clean and fresh, but presentation really wasn't as good as other spots I've been at. It doesn't hold a candle to Sushi Hiro. It's tucked away in the corner of a plaza which gives cozy neighborhood sushi spot. The place is a bit small but they weren't busy. The atmosphere felt very welcoming. My bf liked how there was 1 tv playing basketball and another tv was playing football. The music played is Today's Hits. AND they also have karaoke after 5pm! The AYCE is $36 but it was worth every cent. The salmon belly was a MELT IN YOUR MOUTH and the rice to fish ratio did NOT disappoint. We also got fresh wasabi which was an additional $3 but it tasted excellent. The ahi poke was tasty and the fish looked SUPER fresh. The carpaccios were super delicious as well. If you eat baked mussels, THIS IS THE SPOT. My bf said this place had the BEST baked mussels he's ever had and they were soft and tasty. We ordered over 60 pieces of salmon belly... They give a stamp card so that for your 10th stamp, you get a FREE ayce! We were able to just get 1 card for both of us so that will be easily stacked soon. I loved how they give a wet wipe as well which gives such a REAL Japanese experience. The staff is super kind and food came out fast! I used to love this Sushi place! The recipes they have for the different types of Sushi rolls along with great sashimi! Fresh variety of fish and the friendly happy staff. The lady sushi Chef, gave it an extra AMAZING FLARE! Until this past year, the service is horrible, the chefs don't give you EXCELLENT services unless you buy them a drink, they almost imply it in the conversations if not you can feel the atmosphere changes. I wonder if the owner encourages this to increase his alcohol sales? I won't be coming back or recommending it to others! The sushi was fresh and rolls were well plated. Our favorite was the manjango roll. A little inappropriate but we had a good giggle. The server was nice and we didn't know she was in training until another server assisted at the end of the meal. He was explaining the etiquette of once we ordered dessert she should have ran the reciept and bring the reciept with the dessert. The table was a little sticky when we sat down but they looked behind on bussing the tables. We will be coming back again. This was a perfect early dinner. However in the last year, it has now made a resurgence and we frequent Sushi Mon regularly. The parking lot has ample parking. We typically go for lunch and the service is pretty fast. It is one of the few places that has a stamp card. Basically you get a free AYCE after 10 visits. Make sure to get the stamp card. Their pricing is all-day price but they do have a happy hour until 3pm that is 10% off. We typically start with all the 1-order items like Uni, Sweet Shrimp, and Scallops. They normally have salmon belly and yellowtail belly which are excellent. Make sure to order the Carpaccio items. For appetizers, we the fresh oysters, soft shell crab, salmon collar, fried tofu, and pork belly. For dessert, we had the coffee ice cream. read more

For such a small, unassuming place, they sure have a great selection. We went for lunchtime and had a wonderful experience and friendly service from Penny. We ordered two bento specials: one chicken katsu curry ($15) and one shrimp and vegetable tempura ($15). Each included a salad, miso soup, rice, mix tempura, AND an 8 piece crab roll. Talk about bang for your buck! Everything was divine tasting. The tempura was perfect, and the chicken katsu curry is in the top two best we've had. Everything was fresh, quality, and generous portions. The cherry on top, though, was that they offer a 10% off everything deal from open to 4pm. This deal includes their all you can eat sushi for $35.99. Sushi Mon is an excellent spot for delicious food, friendly service, and a killer deal. We can't wait to go back! They said yes we do. I brought 15 people to their quiet restaurant and they had the audacity to have such strong attitudes when I would ask to add more people. Do you guys not want more money...? We weren't being obnoxious. We weren't being rude. INSTEAD your business chose to only let my group sing TWO SONGS. We sang weak by swv so it clearly wasnt "too loud" or "too annoying." What the hell kind of karaoke place only lets the birthday girl sing two songs. THATS IT i sang two songs with two of my friends then their staff said, "let's take a break." AFTER SAID BREAK I WASNT ALLOWED TO SING. WHAT THE HELL. I kept asking to sing to karaoke and your staff continued to deny me. AFTER I CHECKED AND CALLED THREE TIMES TO MAKE SURE I COULD DO KARAOKE. Just ridiculous. How horrible of you guys to rob my birthday of fun. And THEN at the end make a mistake with a party that already left?!?! We are avid sushi lovers and frequent patrons of Sushi Bomb. This time, we decided to revisit an old favorite, Sushi Mon, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The food quality was so poor that we had to request our check before finishing the meal. We didn't ask for a refund, simply the bill. When the staff asked if everything was okay, we explained that the food quality was subpar. To our surprise, we were charged a $10 leftover fee, which added to the overall disappointment. **Food Review:** The fish was unpleasantly mealy and tangy--though not from sauces or soy sauce. We ordered two rolls (including the Ultimate Shrimp Roll and Arizona Yellowtail Roll) and several pieces of nigiri (Ono/white tuna, yellowtail, snapper, Cajun albacore, and mackerel). The snapper had an earthy, dirt-like taste, and the yellowtail and white fish were overly tangy, bitter, and mealy in texture. The mackerel was passable at best. While the tuna poke sauce was decent, the fish itself was overly fishy and filled with unappealing, chewy white strands. On top of this, each piece of nigiri was overwhelmed by overly firm, al dente rice that was difficult to eat. The rolls also suffered from the same issue with the rice, making them equally unappetizing. We ultimately couldn't finish the meal because the quality was simply not acceptable. While we understand that Sushi Mon has a loyal following, if you're accustomed to high-quality sushi, I would strongly recommend choosing another establishment. The staff did come back to ask how things were, and we did say they were good until we realized the food was not worth eating.
