Service was friendly and attentive. Good to be aware, rolls with "crab," are all filled with Krab or crab mix (not real crab meat), except the Spider Roll. It'd be helpful if sushi restaurants indicated they're utilizing crab flavored fish or use Krab to indicate it's not authentic crab meat. Spending the weekend in Fremont just after spending the week on the strip, and what the strip lacks in AYCE Fremont makes up for it 10 fold! Found Sushi Ichiban just minutes after walking from our hotel at the Grand. Stumbled upon in during the afternoon and decided to come back for dinner. It did not disappoint. I took a picture of the plates just because I forgot to snap them beforehand , it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the Mistake Roll or the Lasagna Roll! read more

Our waitress provided the different options for the ayce and what to order. We ate plenty of sushi so I can't list all that we ate. If I have to criticize on two minor items, it would be the lighting (too dark) and cleanliness (too much stuff on the floor). Also an interesting thing (out of the hands of the restaurant), there were a mix of people outside of the restaurant door dancing to the music pouring out of this place. Let's start with the service!! So kind! I wandered in here after getting lost looking for parking. I was stinky and discombobulated and the first thing they did for me was get me an icy glass of water. After that I went for the all you can eat sushi-- I stopped at three rolls because I had to create a discipline related to buffet eating: eat what you want, it's not an eating contest! I sped through the mango roll so that I could make my third another spicy scallop roll. The kindness extended to keeping me stacked up with pickled ginger after noticing I loved it. It is easy for me to give this restaurant 5 stars! Great customer service, variety on their menu, quick an delicious! I came in on a Wednesday to place an order. You can only order thru their portal or in person. It wasn't a big deal bc they were 8 minutes from my hotel. I ordered three salmon skin hand rolls and seaweed salad. The order was ready in 10 minutes! Jayden helped me: he is so friendly and he was hustling all over the restaurant. He also brought my order outside to my car. I really enjoyed the salmon skin hand rolls - they are small but packed with TONS of salmon. The seaweed salad was perfectly dressed with a nice crunch. I like...I like Sushi Sushi... Sushi! I have to admit that I was not expecting the best from a sushi joint near a downtown casino but boy was I shocked. The Sushi, AYCE sushi options were ridiculously good with a nice variety. This is one of my new favorite spots now and I have always loved the EL Cortez and it is right across the way, I miss the old careful Kitty's however change can be good if it is this tasty. I finally have time to sit down and write this review about the service my friends and I received at this restaurant. Never in my life have I been so disrespected and treated with utter disgust as much as I have been in this establishment. To give context, about a month back, my friends and I were in town for EDC weekend and stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to eat there. We came in a little after 2pm, there were about 3 other tables seated. The first red flag should've been the fact that they had us wait over 20 minutes to get sat even though there was two servers working and barely anyone in the restaurant. By the time we were sat, a line had formed behind us. Our waitress was a Caucasian female, red haired. She had the most terrible attitude I've ever experienced from a server. Mind you, I literally work in the food business as a server myself and I would NEVER treat costumers the way she treated us. She failed to bring us waters even though we asked nicely twice, she straight up gave me attitude when I told her to come back to me for my drink order since I hadn't decided at the moment. In a very condescending tone, she said something along the lines of "so you want me to walk away and then come back to take your order?". Ridiculous and unacceptable for any server to be talking to their costumers that way. I thought I was getting punked for a moment. Throughout our meal, we could clearly hear her talking badly about the costumers to her coworker. She was claiming that we were all on drugs and were mentally slow, and apparently no one knew how to order food properly. We had also asked her to put in an order of mochi ice cream for the table. We waited over 30 minutes wondering when it'd arrive to us, and noticed everyone around us was getting their ice cream. I decided to ask a different server to check on our ice cream order, and he was able to get it out to us in a few short minutes. Like I said, as someone who personally knows what it's like to be a server, that type of behavior and attitude is unacceptable. I genuinely believe this person needs to be fired, as I have went through other reviews on this restaurant and have seen various complaints about the same server. Management needs to do better, as she is a direct reflection of how the business feels about their costumers. It's disgusting for her to judge my friends and I based off of our appearance, because clearly we were in town for the music festival, and then proceed to treat us terribly based off of that fact. DO NOT GO to this restaurant unless you're in the mood for mid sushi and terrible service. read more

Not the best sushi but you can't beat the price for the AYCE! I thought it was silly that there were so many sexual and Vegas-themed names for the rolls. All the rolls we tried were good but nothing special. The smoothie was totally worth it though. It was huge and very refreshing on that 99 degree day! This was my second time coming to Sushi Ichiban, and honestly, it's just that good. One of the main reasons I love this spot is because once you order, your sushi comes out super quick, which is perfect if you're starving and don't want to wait forever for food! This time around, I tried three new rolls. The California roll was good, a classic. The Jose roll had a really nice kick to it, the jalapeños on top were spicy in the best way. I also had the Long Island roll, which had scallops on top and was so delicious. It had a little kick too, but wasn't too spicy. I'll definitely be ordering that one again next time I'm in Vegas! I also got their crispy rice, and it was just as good. It had a great crunch and a nice spicy jalapeño on top that added the perfect amount of heat. The jalapeños this time were actually spicy, which I loved! The waitresses here are super friendly and helpful. Very bad dinner When we arrived, the server was very nice and sat us down. It was a Friday evening but it was not too crowded. They have and all you can eat menu or you can order a la carte. We chose to order a la carte. We ordered chow mein, rice and some sushi. The chow mein and rice tasted terrible. The sushi was good, but that was it. We could not even finish the food it was so bad. The texture and the flavor were very off. The entire time that we were seated, we were ignored by all of the servers. Other tables were getting good service, but we had to struggle to get help. We came here because of the photos and advertisements outside, but the actual experience was extremely disappointing. The sashimi portions were very small and consisted mostly of low-quality scraps and trimmings rather than proper cuts of fish. The quality was poor, yet the prices were very high, making it feel like cheap ingredients being sold at a premium price. The all-you-can-eat option did not include the large sashimi shown in advertisements, and ordering à la carte was also expensive for very small portions. On top of that, items shown on the exterior signage, such as ramen, were not even available on the actual menu, which felt misleading. As someone who has 10+ years working in the sushi industry, one thing that really irks me is when the servers of the restaurant do not know their menu and/or has no knowledge about what is happening at the restaurant. There is no excuse to be working part/full time, multiple days of the week and not know the menu or what is going on...especially when that is part of the main job of any server. I go in today to ask about their tiramisu. They use to have the best in vegas in my opinion. Sadly, they discontinued it. I came a little bit after they opened, had one table. The red head that opened was giving me sass when i was asking about their tiramisu. It was so good that i also asked where they outsourced it, now i didnt expect her to know about that nor did i expect her to know when her manager would come in (i know a lot of restaurants like to act like their manager is nonexistent and tell their servers to act dumb). However i was trying to inform her about their phone number that is posted, kept telling me its out of service. Before finishing the question, she cuts me off and tells me its the same number online. I told her it was out of service. She says, "no its not because we get calls all day" in a condescending tone. As im pulling out my phone, i ask her if she is sure its the same number and she tells me, "i dont know the phone number but i know it starts with 702". I tell her thats the area code and in another condescending tone she tells me that all she knows is that it starts with "702" and its NOT the area code, sure enough it WAS. By this time i pulled out my phone, showed her dumb self their yelp page and call the phone number LISTED only for it to say on speaker, "this phone number is not in service at this time". Now this red head server is looking really dumb and goes to the sushi chef to ask about it, comes back to me and tells me that they didnt know and will fix the issue. I understand that restaurants usually schedule their lame workers to open and then keep their best team for night shifts when its typically busy...however that white girl needs a lot more training in their services with less smartass statements, the fact that she didnt even know her own place of business's phone number but wants to treat the customer like theyre the dumb one is the best way to lose returning/loyal customers. Rude/unknowable service isnt worth their price nor their mid tier sushi. Get more for your buck elsewhere! read more

I highly recommend this place. They have a $35 all you can eat and anytime I'm there. I try to get by there. I'm a tour guide and if I don't have commitments for dinner, I try to go by there with one of my coworkers, it's got a cool atmosphere. Came here with some friends and our stomachs came to conquer this AYCE spot. My buddy and I did damage as we had to eat for our kids and significant other lol! We came here around 5ish and we were lucky enough to get a table for our party right away. The service was pretty good and you can almost stop any server as they were willing to help you with your order. Our main server didn't come around too much, but we were hungry, and we ate pretty fast, so we took charge on getting help when needed. But there wasn't any pushback or issues from the servers. I'd say from what we had ordered, the food was good. Sometimes we got wrong orders/another table's order, but it wasn't a big deal. The place does get a little busy when people get hungry. Sushi was mid, not the best AYCE sushi place in Vegas. Our server, the Asian guy was very nice. However, the other waitress, Caucasian girl was very rude. We told her we haven't gotten the teriyaki chicken yet, and she responded "well then they're probably still cooking it", in a passive aggressive tone. Everyone in my party was shocked she was that rude. She could've simply said "oh let me check on that for you". Our waters were not refilled, until we had to ask for more water. We ordered a masago, waited to the point where the server asked us if we were waiting for anything else, told him we ordered the masago. Then he said the masago ran out. 10 minutes later the masago came out. A little disorganized in my opinion. Also we ordered corn cheese, usually corn cheese is creamy. It was literally corn soaked in the corn juice, with melted cheese on top. We ordered the yellowtail nigiri, it wasn't as oily as it should be & more firm. Probably wouldn't recommend this place at all. That waitress probably shouldn't be working at a restaurant with that customer service. Had great service, they did miss one item we ordered but it wasn't a big deal. What we did receive came very quickly and they are on top of asking again if you would like something else, I've been to similar places where they delay you but that wasn't a concern here. My visit to Sushi Ichiban was during my very first time going to Fremont and staying at the Golden Nugget Casino, which is the OG classic. If anyone decides to go off the beaten path of The Strip, then I recommend eating here as part of your trip. Ambience has quite a lively vibe! We made reservations earlier that day, which I highly recommend. While we did have to wait for 10 minutes or so for the staff to wipe down and set up our table, it wasn't too bad. You have a time limit of 90 minutes, but I'm sure this amount of time is more than enough. You're given a paper menu and then order whatever you want with the server. Some of the notable items were the following: - Pork belly - Sashimi poke - Uni (only 1 per person though) - Salmon Pinklady (salmon sashimi decorated like a rose) They have a bunch of rolls, too, but I don't recall the names. We were walking in downtown Vegas on Fremont Street and happened to spot this place. We both love sushi and the price was right. As we were walking up, some people walked out and we asked them if it was worth it and they said it was so we went inside. It was a typical sushi buffet atmosphere so to speak. Contemporary hip hop and pop music playing in the background. The waitress who greeted up was very friendly and the food comes out very quickly for an AYCE. I tried uni and salmon collar for the first time and the rolls had very funny names but were extremely tasty. I certainly recommend this place. We have went to this sushi place about 3 times times before they close thinking that we will have a good dining experience.they immediately tell us that we can only purchase the all you can eat.And that there is no full menu and everything we buy.Is the all you can eat price. The first time my husband and I tried this place, the food and service were both great, which made me excited to come back. Honestly, I should've just left it as a one-time experience. Our second visit was a letdown. We were greeted like everyone else walking through the doors, but after that, the service quickly went downhill. Our server, a white waitress, was friendly but didn't seem to know the menu well, which made things a bit frustrating. Once we got our food, that was the last of the service, we had to keep flagging someone down just to get the basics.
