jalapeno lobster roll - made with an actual lobster
    Tina T.

There are actually several types of food I like to get at Sushi Nami: Sushi and Sashimi Bento Boxes Noodles Not to say they have a bunch of other sections such as donburi, fried rice, cold noodles, small plates, teriyaki plates, and even a section called "I don't like raw stuff" which has things like tempura lunch, fish and chips, tonkatsu and more! I recommend 12 and 69, Big O, Jalapeno Lobster (actually made with an entire lobster), The River, Tommy Sunset, Up the Stream and Wicked Tuna. I always enjoy Sushi and Sashimi plate for when I just straight up want sashimi, and then I do recommend the Nabeyaki udon noodle soup (with added egg) it is just the perfect dish when it's cold out. Last but not least the bento boxes are huge and the salmon, beef, and chicken are all tasty. You have the option to sit inside vs outside, the outside is light and nice in the warmer months, and the inside is a darker vibe, probably good for a date. I have to take off a star though because service can just be SUPER slow here.

Salmon, Red Snapper, and two types of tuna on a bed of Japanese radishes.

We have eaten there twice. The Sashimi and Miso soup were excellent. We ended up ordering an additional 3 piece red Snapper Sashimi. The service was great with a wide range of dishes for everyone's palette. Free parking.

Outside was nice until the resurfacing crew came ! There was the unappetizing smell of asphalt and dust was everywhere! The noise was so loud from the machinery that you couldn't really have a decent conversation. It really kind of ruined my appetite! The management finally came over and put down the clear plastic walls that they normally use for rain when you're sitting outside. In my opinion it should've been used earlier! Although it's not the managements fault they were doing asphalt repair, I do feel that it is the management responsibility to be aware of "environment "that their patrons have to be exposed to . I think the management should've been aware of what was going on in the parking lot and tried to protect the patrons from being exposed to the smell, noise and dust! I divide my reviews into three portions food, service, environment. I would've given this a five star rating had they been more conscientious of the patrons needs. I definitely would have enjoyed my Shannon at Maui sushi and sashimi a lot better! I will consider returning but will call ahead of time to see if sitting outside would be I would be exposed to this type of disturbance!

The Basics: Sushi Nami Too is a sushi restaurant located in Sandy Springs. There is interior dining as well as an outdoor patio and bar area. Things I like: I love the sushi from Sushi Nami Too. It has been my go to sushi spot lately. The sushi is always made well and incredibly fresh. Some of my favorite rolls that I have gotten are the Quebec Roll, Mega Crunch Roll, and the 12&69 Degrees Roll. I have also enjoyed their nigiri. I have always been pleased with the sushi I have gotten from Sushi Nami Too. Things I didn't like: Nothing, I have always loved the food here. I cannot speak to dining in the restaurant as I have only ordered takeout from here. Overall, a great restaurant for good quality sushi in Sandy Springs!

I love Sushi and I'm glad I found a new Sushi spot. This was my first time here. They are practicing social distancing so it took a few minutes for me to be seated, since some of the seats were blocked off. The restaurant looked nice, but I'm reading reviews now, and didn't realize there was a more formal restaurant section in the back. I sat at the bar, and there was also an outside section close by. The Skinny Cosmo was tasty! I'm not sure what made it skinny, Lol, but I didn't notice anything different about it. I ordered two sushi rolls: Hey King and 12&69 Degrees. Both rolls were fresh and flavorful. I plan on going back soon to try the lunch menu. Price: $40

I have been here many times over the last several years the sushi is always amazing. No surprises tonight as we had a great dinner. We split a few rolls ha I g the wicked tuna, jalapeño crunch lobster and yellow tail as well a few pieces of tuna sashimi all were very fresh and delightful

Shrimp tempura app and house salad

Good quality and good ambience. We ordered the shrimp tempura app which came with three tempura fried shrimp and carrot, zucchini, and pumpkin tempura and two house salads ($3 each in a small bowl). We got the sushi plate for two which came with eight pieces of tuna roll, eight pieces of california roll with eel sauce, two pieces of uni, two sashimi pieces each and two nigiris each of salmon, tuna, and white fish. For two people, this was a very big meal (had to take some leftovers). The salmon was sooo buttery! Our waitress was great and hospitable at checking up on us during the meal as well. I thought it was ample parking but I went around 5:30 so dinner rush hadn't happened quite yet. The food took a while to get though so just be prepared to wait a bit after you order. That should be kind of how it is though if you want everything freshhhhh.

Absolutely fantastic japanese restaurant. The Bento box was amazing and its main component, beef, was tender, flavorful, and just about perfect. Favorite sushi was also if high quality and full of flavors. The apetizer, dumpligs, were so good, too. Coming back soon.

Quality food. Some of their fish is flown in from Japan. I had an assortment of Nigiri and the PEI Mussels. Everything was fresh and high quality. My server was sweet and attentive as well. I'll definitely come back.

Came here for lunch and was hoping to be in and out. The food is good but this is not the place if you're looking to grab a quick lunch. Not a knock on the business, but the parking lot is far too small for the businesses that occupy the strip mall (multiple restaurants, barber shop, nail salon, etc.). Good luck finding parking; you may have to circle a few times before grabbing a spot. The bar area is right when you walk in so I'm not sure what the inner part of the restaurant looks like. However, I kind of liked that the bar area was so separate. I was seated at 11:45am and it took the waitress some time to make her way over to me and greet me and offer a drink/menu. After ordering, I didn't get my food until after 12:30pm. To me, that is just far too long of a time lapse (and I only ordered one roll and a side of rice). There were a good amount of people in the bar/covered outdoor area so maybe they should think of having 2 bar backs to cover the lunch rush. I had the Novia Scotia roll and a side of rice. Both were good. I don't think it was my favorite thing that the roll had asparagus but that's not the end of the world. I'd definitely come back because it's nor far from my place and I can get my sushi fix when I need it.

    Jalapeño margaritas
    Emily M.

This place was awesome! The waiter was super nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating, we sat outside on the covered patio. There's a huge bar. The jalapeño margarita is amazing! Sweet and spicy. The food is delicious. We tried many different items to share which included: a couple sushi rolls, blackened cod, crab legs, coconut shrimp and a salad. Everything was delicious and service was great!

    Jennifer D.

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch here and I've enjoyed many business lunches as well. The food is consistently good with the menu being extensive but clear and concise. Lunch options are varied and they even offer cooked options for non sushi people as well as a full bar. Spicy tuna is definitely my favorite here.

The ordering is a little clunky- there's a menu book but it seems they prefer you to use the iPad to order. And, there must have been instances where people were unhappy about what they typed in and were ultimately served because the server comes over to confirm what you ordered. And there is a delivery robot but it brings out the food and the server takes it off the robot tray and hands it to you. The robot gets close to your table but not within your reach. My last point would be that there is a small string of Christmas lights wrapped around a plastic stand on your table. If you need your server, you are to turn the lights on- there's written directions explaining this to you. BUT at noon, it is as bright as the bulb of an overhead projector so it is somewhat undetectable to the server. I suspect it is a better system at night. Again, good food, just not a smooth of serving.

Like a lot of other omakase places the restaurant was a little hard to find since it's pretty much just a door with a small sign and a couple of windows. The service there was phenomenal and I loved the variety for dishes! We had the 17 course meal for $242/person after taxes and tip, which was a little expensive but seemed fair for Atlanta. We started with some apps and my favorite was the oysters. Then most of the courses were various nigiri and ofc my favorites were the fatty tuna and eel. I also really liked the uni even though I usually don't! The presentation for everything was gorgeous and some of the sushi was pretty unique with the flavor pairings. Dinner ended with a small sorbet as dessert and my mom and I were both stuffed. I'll definitely be back for a special occasion :)

One of the highlights was the Kimi Oboro, prepared using a 200-year-old vinegar technique -- simply remarkable. My sister loved every dish, even falling in love with the pickled ginger! The service was outstanding as well -- two servers took care of us throughout the evening, always greeting us with genuine smiles and impeccable manners. I saw a lot of social media about their hand roll (temaki) omakase and lunch special. Apparently, the quality and foundation of Cuddlefish has changed quite a lot within the past couple years. The prices have gone up, their staff busier than ever. There is free parking in the parking garage around the corner, which is super nice. It's less than a 5 min walk with plenty of spaces. The area is fairly nice because in winter, there's a roller skating ring, ice cream place (Ben and Jerry's), and cafe (Rosetta). Generally, you can make lunch or dinner reservations here, which I HIGHLY recommend as a CYA. There are outdoor and indoor seating, as well as temaki bar seating for if you choose to do the temaki omakase. If you do the omakase, make sure to arrive on time because the dishes are made in order by the chefs for everyone. It's every Monday and Tuesday for $79. When we arrived in the early afternoon for lunch, we were told it would be a 40 min wait and that we would be notified via text when a table opened up. However, we wound up waiting an hour before we were seated -- in fact at a time that was empty the entire time we were waiting. Our server came by once to say she was going to give us water (another person did) and to take our order. After that, she never even looked our way to our table or checked in with us. I'm not even sure that that blonde lady was even in charge of our table anymore at this point. I'm sure the place was dying down in terms of business because they were no longer seating people or accepting reservations. I think it's unprofessional to forget about your tables and to quite literally have a conversation with everyone else aside from your tables and not even glance in their direction. The lunch special includes 3 selected handrolls, cucumber salad, taiwanese popcorn chicken, and daily house dessert. I think it's super cute and fresh that they wrap their nori in a plastic wrapper to preserve the nori freshness and crispness. There's also the spicy tuna hosomaki with rice pearls, but it was a LOT of rice and overpowered by the crunch off the rice pearls. The cucumber salad was simple with a soy sauce based marinade. I think the cucumber slices were thin and tad flimsy, lacking crunch. The taiwanese chicken nuggets were abundant (priced normally at $10), good crunch with a hint of flavor from the basil. The dessert was actually quite delicious! It was like a soft moist peach cobbler in a muffin shape. It was sweet, moist, and flavorful -- as a great plating ended. Here were the 3 temakis starting with the best: yellowtail salsa, salmon + cucumbers, and shrimp katsu. The shrimp katsu had an overwhelming amount of fruits (pineapple and cantaloupe), and I feel like the katsu needed a bit of sauce to make sure it wasn't too dry. The pieces also quickly fell because of how small they were. The yellowtail overall had better flavor, especially with the toppings adding a bit of crunch. I think the lunch special would be worth trying as a newcomer, but it took 25-30 min for it to even come out. At the end, I think the fryer or machine broke but the hostess continued to seat people. So even people with reservations were turned away due to needing to reset the kitchen. I think now theres a lot of stipulations on their omakase and happy hour. For omakase, you're only allowed to order 3 at a time with one from each category and 2 hour limit, automatically combined with a 20% gratuity. Happy hour special is only Wed-Thurs 2-7pm with selected $5 temaki rolls and drink specials. It's supposed to give a very modern vibe. You are, in fact, given a QR code to pay.

They have private rooms and regular dining room seating. Weekday lunch bento box special (11am-3pm) is a great deal and comes with a lot of food. Personal favorite is the Kalbi (short ribs) box. The Kang Nam Junsik A combo is a great deal too and gives so many courses. Feels like the food just keeps coming. They always end your meal with a complimentary ice cream!

Located on Buford highway just OTP Kang Nam has a nice building and spacious parking lot. Walk in and you are greeted quickly and shown to a table. There are also curtained booths for privacy. The menu is extensive. The lunch specials are excellent. I ordered the sashimi box, Betsy had a couple rolls. Both came with miso soup and a salad. The box also came with three veggie side dishes that have a name but I am not looking it up sorry. My box had some udon soup that was ok, a delicious roll, 12 slices of fish, a couple eggs, come eel, some tempura, and a crab stick. It was all fresh tasting and delicious. The yellowtail was especially good, I dont always like yellowtail. All of this for only $26 I think is awesome. I will be back!
