Food was not bad. HOWEVER, when I was paying the bill, the waitress told me "Make sure you leave a tip", which I found to be extremely tacky and unprofessional. I don't know if she thought that I was the type of individual that wouldn't leave a tip and felt the need to embarrass me in front of other customers, or if she just simply has no tact, but I was dumbfounded. I can honestly say I have never been reminded or told to leave a tip by restaurant staff before, and I hope I never am again. I will not be back. Learn some manners. read more

I love love love Sushi one! It is loved by everyone I know in Greeley as well. We were so sad when it burned down, but now that it is back it is better than ever! So many yummy choices to pick from! Two things: there is a loud, annoying chime that plays every 2-3 minutes in their restaurant. I don't know if it's their phone or computers or what but it really ruins the mood. They didn't have this noise before. Also, I got the orange bowl as an appetizer one day and it came out AFTER my food. I don't think appetizers should come out after your main dish, so they should definitely either warn us before hand or figure out a way to get it out sooner. Love the trees! read more

I am originally from MA and have been searching for a good sushi place! Sushi One was amazing, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the prices were great. Sushi One seems to be a hidden gem that not many people know about! I would suggest this to anyone who is looking for some good sushi and great prices. read more

I just moved here from so cal...and I'll give this place 3-stars because...Im pretty sure its the only sushi place in greeley. As far as quality goes....this place would be out of business anywhere closer to an ocean. I tried a couple of different rolls, 2 kinds of actual sushi...and wasn't uber impressed by any of it. The albacore was obviously dried out and over seared, the salmon was FROZEN, and even the rice was a little crunchy. I'll be in greeley for about 2 years so i'm glad this place is here in case i can't fight off the sushi urge any longer...but this definitely isn't the kind of spot you'd want to bring someone new to. I'd stick to menu items that are deep fried, or soaked in spicy mayonaise to hide the shitty fish quality. Bonus point though...the iced tea was legit. read more

The food was actually really good. The service we received was NOT. I had asked for a vegetarian option and was served meat, that I had to promptly spit out once I figured it out on my own. Our waitress messed up our order and blamed us for "not being clear" and would not take back our extra food even though it was untouched and we did not order it. She gave us way too many extra appetizers. They ended up charging us for everything too. Would not go here again. read more

The sushi was OK, nothing special. They don't have very good gluten-free options however. No miso soup, or egg drop soup, even just an eel roll without the eel sauce on top still manages to contain gluten. They don't even have a gluten free menu. This is a small place but worth going to. The Cajun shrimp and ginger snap rolls were very good without breaking our tight budget. Maybe it was just because we were there before happy hour started but the music playing inside was pretty weird, but easy to ignore if you're there with someone else. Very satisfied with the sushi, price, and service, however there's nothing that was incredibly impressive or unique (the selection of rolls is wide and I have not tried or seen them all). Service was very good. The squid nigiri sushi was just as warm as the rice it was on which the fish should be chilled and rice body temp. The rolls were better. We had the rose and the french kiss rolls. The rose was much more superior in flavor and neither of us didn't care much for the latter. I should also mention we ate the dinner for two which was a ton of food for the price and were stuffed! What I enjoyed the most were the appetizers of the jalapeno bomb. I disagree with one of the reviews. First of all, Sushi One is the best north of Denver! Fresh ingredients and extremely tastey. The fact that it is two and a half miles west of campus may be an issue with some people but most people have access to a car or bus. And, the price is really reasonable. Compare the same quality and amount with Sushi in Denver and you'd pay quite a bit more. read more

I love this place! I would have to say it is the best sushi I have had in Colorado, at any price range. My favorite is the Baked Salmon roll, but the spicy tuna and the crab rolls are amazing too. The service is friendly and I would highly recommend this place to anyone craving sushi. read more

My husband and I have gone here since it opened. This is our very favorite restaurant. The owner gives amazing attention to every detail. The staff is wonderful. The food is the best ever! I got into Greeley Monday and was looking for lunch. I Jumped on Yelp and found Sushi 1. Based on the reviews I went there and for the most part I was very pleased. The lunch specials were goof and fairly priced. The service wasn't bad either. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the non-Asian guy who was making sushi kept rubbing his hair. I don't know if it was a nervous tic or he liked how his hair felt but he did it frequently, yes over the food. The other chef wore a hat and was squared away. The hair thing have me the creeps. I would go back but hopefully the hair guy would be off. read more

This place had a bento box for under $12 which was incredibly filling. The food was on par with pretty much every other sushi place. The staff was attentive and helpful. Then on top of everything, they gave me a couple sushi rolls on the house. The best thing about this place is how quiet it is. read more

Went in at 5pm on a Sunday with three other tables of people in the entire restaurant. I've been here once before and had very good food and service during lunch. This night however my boyfriend and I sat at our table for over 20 minutes waiter for a server to even approach us and nothing, not even waters. There were two servers working and they had been to every other table multiple times before and we even tried making eye contact or grabbing their attention and nothing. So finally after not being noticed for 25min I left a note explaining we were leaving because they hadn't bothered to even notice us and we walked out. As we walk out they tell us thanks for coming in...clearly a clueless bunch. A shame they had such poor service and it got to the point we had to walk out. read more
