LOVE THIS PLACE. It's probably one of the best ayce sushi places I have been to. For appetizers, we got the spicy garlic edamame and baked mussels. The edamame was addicting. Not overly salty. Perfect amount of heat. The baked mussels were great, too. All the nigiris were excellent. Salmon and yellowtail had such great flavor. Even though the salmon looked large in size, it was soft and delicate. The unagi was soft and warm with just a hint of sweetness. Some places can go overboard on the sweetness, but this had the perfect amount. It makes you come back for more. For baked rolls, we got the Diablo and XOXO. The Diablo came with so many scallops! It was a very generous amount. The favorite, though, was the XOXO. Well balanced. A perfect bite. Also got the Asahi roll. It's a very large sushi roll so beware! That being said, it was delicious. Just maybe order it with a large group so you save room for other items. Last but not least, loved the service. First service was great at this location. The restaurant was clean including the restroom. The sushi itself was a mixed bag. The nijirj was cut thick, but the rice was dry, almost hard to pickup. The garlic salmon was nasty... weird "cheese looking" sauce, horrid flavor profile. The tuna was flavorful, but two pieces had this tough ligament going through them. Crappy customer service! We went to eat here and experienced the worst customer service ever. Servicer left us at the table for 30 minutes without any refills, missing 6 rolls, and did not pay attention to our food allergies where my friend was highly allergic to raw onions. When asked for the manager and what they can do for us, the hostess and waitress said they couldn't do anything but expected us to pay the full price of the bill. read more

This is my most recent visit, and I have been coming to this place since 2022. The quality of the fish is what I come back for and the great attentive staff. Everyone is nice and very helpful no matter what time or day I visit. I've taken several different parties here and they seem to enjoy the quality of the fish each time. The space is near a lot of parking and the interior is dimly lit with dark tones. Not too quiet or loud either plenty of seating. I love their salmon and yellowtail. I do remember that their bluefin tuna was much more fatty before, but recently it has been a regular piece of tuna. If you're looking for an AYCE sushi option, this place has good quality food for $40 and plenty of options to choose from. I will definitely come back! read more

More learning towards 3.5 but decided to not round up because of the multiple experiences of missed orders here. Come here a decent amount with a group of friends on Saturdays. Surprisingly the wait for this AYCE place is either non-existent or only like 10-20 minutes long! It's pretty busy too but never really hated to wait super long which is kinda nice for AYCE on a weekend. AYCE selection is pretty good - a fair amount of nigiris with some dinner only (limited) options, appetizers, and a lot of rolls options. Since we have a big party usually (6 or more) we get to try out a few rolls, a bunch of sushi and appetizers. Appetizers are good - favorites are baked mussel and tempura. A friend likes to order takoyaki but...it came cold once so we asked them to reheat it. I do like that they have option for JUST shrimp tempura or veggie tempura. The sushi itself is fine - nothing to gush about since it is an AYCE place. The fish to rice ration is generally pretty good here I feel, but sometimes the fish itself can be a little lesser quality (especially tuna). Rolls are pretty good, but a lot of it is due to the heavy amount of sauces I feel, which isn't really a problem for me because I do love the spicy mayo and eel sauce..but for others this might be a turn off. The main issue I've been having every time I dine here is that orders go missing! I know it's typical that orders get mixed up at AYCE places (which is unfortunate to think about), but straight up there's days where we just DON'T get anything in our order... or we get half of it and then the paper comes back to us. We've had to flag down servers to ask them to check on our order because it's been awhile and even getting someone's attention can be hard. They also ask that you put roll orders in WRITTEN format. It's not on the actual menu, you have to write it in...which can cause issues. We've had good days but we've also had bad days of not getting things. Normally I'm not too upset over missed orders because it's AYCE so we can order it in the next round. But the problem with that is...sometimes we don't even get it by the 3rd round! For example, we ordered their Jenjen roll round 1 and never got it. Ordered in round 2 and still never got it lol. Ordered in round 3 and we FINALLY got it. Same goes for even a small appetizer of seaweed salad - we ordered it 3 times and it NEVER came?? It ended up being an inside joke in our group lol. Overall this place is pretty decent for an AYCE place and yeah I'll probably come back if friends choose to come here. But man, I'm always anticipating service to be...so-so, and for my orders to be missing :( read more

Enjoyed both our first and second trips here. Our favorite local AYCE sushi place close last September. We had the tasting AYCE each time and weren't disappointed. My favorites were the XOXO, the Bulgogi Cali Roll, and the Honeymoon. My wife enjoyed the Rock N Roll, the Mussels, and the Spider Hand Roll. The service was amazing and fast. Overall I have more good things than bad things to say about these restaurant. I am going to get the bad stuff out of the way but please stick with me until the end to get a full assessment of this place. CONS: some pieces of fish were ridiculously fishy borderline inedible. I noticed this specifically with the fried Oyster and the sea scallop. The eel and yellowtail were not quite as bad but was definitely more on the fishy side. PROS: if I could I would give this location a 3.5 star rating but I rounded it up for the reasons listed below 1. Not all the menu items were bad. We enjoyed most of the salmon options. The jen jen, spider crab, and spicy scallop were delicious. Also. I loved the potato shrimp it is the first time I've seen that menu item and it came out piping hot and it was a nice contrast in flavor to all the sush 2. The fish to rice ratio is fantastic. Big strips on fish on small balls of rice and I rarely see such a great ratio at an ayce restaurant 3. Service is TOP NOTCH the people there are so nice, efficient, and do an excellent job explaining how their AYCE works. My go to ayce sushi spot! Found out this was the owner from my days in Riverside, Asahi, which always had great vibes, food, and service. He left the first location and had opened a second one, then I always went to that one. Now that I'm no longer in Riverside and found out he is now at this location, I had to go. Food is still yummy! Always a fan of all the rolls and sashimi we get. The service has its good days and bad days. Not sure why the inconsistency but the food has always been good. It is a pretty big restaurant but I have seen it get full during the dinner time and on the weekends. I've never had an issue getting a table when I go but it depends on your arrival time I'm sure. Wow wow wow wow! We went here at lunch and planned to do the $19.99 tasting menu which to my surprise included so much food. My daughter wanted to include the nigiri so we opted for the $29.99 menu but let me tell you, the extra $10 was absolutely worth it! The fresh nigiri, the no rice options, the appetizers (of which they had a huge selection) to the broiled/baked items and were all excellent! I've been to many AYCE and they kinda "cheat" by adding too much rice. This restaurant has a generous fish-rice ratio where you get to taste and enjoy more of the fish than the rice! We were so satisfied and again impressed with the quality, taste, presentation, amazing service and of course the price of our meal. Not every AYCE sushi spot is built the same. Suhis One Spot is good, but still needs work in order to achieve greatness. I don't mean to say every 5 star restaurant or review grants automatic greatness, by any means, but in the case of One Spot Sushi 3 Stars means they are doing some things right for me. One thing that was missing, for me, was prompter service/faster response time. AYCE to me means, I have a good 45 minutos, sometimes an hour, before my stomach is closed for business. I want to get those sushi orders in and out fast so they can get in my belly. The husband and wife team here are very nice people, but they seemed ahort staffed. They are hustling and serving themselves. Working hard, making it happen... But it also means they are shortstaffed. This slows down the table service, and sushi going in my belly. That's no bueno. One thing that was not missing, but could have been missing, was the imitation crab in almost every roll. Have you seen what that stuff is made of? Basically the seafood equivalent of hot dogs.. lips and a$$ holes. No, thank you!! I asked for every roll sans imitation crab. The fact it's on the menu tells me they want to fill you up with low quality ingredients. Aside, from that, everything is hunky dory for a typical AYCE sushi. The sushi tastes fresh, ambiance is cool - they even have the Dodger games, and the sushi bar is cranking the rolls out faster than they can be delivered to your table.
