This AYCE spot is definitely a go to spot for me. I've visited multiple times in 2023 and there is no doubt that I will continue to visit. It's hard to find good and affordable AYCE sushi in general but this place is easily a favorite of mine. As usual , I ordered too much food but luckily, I was still able to eat it all. The only con for me about this place is that sometimes they will get my order wrong and forget a piece or add too much of something else that I didn't order. Just make sure to communicate with the workers if something does end up wrong. The food will surely fill you up and it'll be worth the money!

Delicious. I enjoy the freshness and flavours that the sushi have. The decor is not fancy but the meal make for everything

We came here for the first time Post-Covid and were not disappointed... Their food was as good as always. Good sushi, good appetizers and they are still offering Hibachi but with one tiny change, if you want hibachi, you have now to order it and they'll bring it to you as you customized it. Their service had an incredible upgrade due to covid. The waiters and waitresses make a few rounds around the restaurant every few minutes to make sure you get what you want when you want it, we loved that!!! They are always close whenever you need anything. You should come close and try this place again!!! Lol

Finally don't have to make the hassle trip into the city for delicious all you can eat sushi!! And all you can eat hibachi?!? Has anyone ever heard of a more amazing thing?! You are truly missing out if you don't come to this place. (Sorry for the u appealing photo. While mid feast I decided to snap a pic ....clearly wrong moment )

I really appreciate the service at this location. The price per person is reasonable with vast options, including hibachi buffet. The sushi was ok, Fish did not taste all that fresh. Be sure to order the fried calamari and the squid cooked in ink. The green tea ice cream was very good. The place is outdated and the small parking lot is very uncomfortable. I cannot stress, however, that the service here was exceptional. Will probably be back.

Sushi quality was passable. Pieces were small and there wasn't much for advanced sushi eaters. The service was also pretty rude. Not attentive and not nice. For the price, you can't complain. We won't be going back. UPDATE: So, we have been back and the sushi is still decent quality. Servers generally don't speak good English, so they get some orders wrong. Getting server attention is still tough. It is slight better than the last time. If you have low expectations for service, this place is just fine.

    Their "Chicken Lo Mein"

I went in to eat here on 03/31/23. Waited 20 mins to get a table, and before I could finally sit and look at the menu, a waiter asked me what I wanted to drink. The same waiter didn't know what was on the menu and decided to be rude because of that. I got a passion fruit green tea boba, boba was misshapen and hard. To eat, I ordered crab rangoons and lo mein. The crab rangoons were burnt and served with two packets of duck sauce. Don't even get me started with the lo mein. It was WHITE and did not smell appetizing. The chicken in the lo mein looked boiled with no seasoning. Almost couldn't forget that my original waiter disappeared, we got another waiter who then disappeared and lastly had to call someone over to finally get the check. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

We love going here for all you can eat sushi! The rolls are huge and it's so worth it! Plus all of the appetizers are delicious.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience. Parking was convenient, with both street parking and municipal paid lots nearby. As for the food, I thought the sushi was okay. The salmon, scallop and tuna Nigiri were fresh and tasty . They were definitely one bites. The inari was pleasantly sweet, but the rice wasn't packed tightly enough into the fried tofu pocket. The loose, unfilled end made the texture a little off and less enjoyable. The futomaki didn't include the tobiko listed on the menu, which is a typical ingredient in this roll. It also lacked much flavor, so I probably wouldn't order it again. The Unagi was very good. My daughter said I don't eat eel. We also ordered the seafood tempura, which included shrimp, lobster, scallops, and vegetables. The seafood had a light, crisp tempura batter that I enjoyed. The vegetables were less impressive, as the batter was thicker and lacked the delicate, airy texture and crispness in a tempura that which they achieved with the seafood. My daughter ordered the pork katsu curry. The pork was fried nicely and came in a generous portion. The Japanese curry sauce was lighter than what we've had at other restaurants, which she actually preferred. Both entrées were served with miso soup and salad and were good. Most Japanese restaurants you get either or so kudos for giving both. They don't have a full-service bar, but they do offer beer, wine, and sake. Overall, the service and atmosphere were enjoyable, overall I found some bites better than others. The meal was really better than a three but not quite a four too bad you can't give half cause it's definitely a solid 3.5

As many of you know I am cultured. I'm seasoned. In age and in ethnicity. Lightly seasoned? Sure…read more But seasoning nonetheless? Depends who you ask. Oh Desdemona, how unlucky you were. Oh Yelp, how lucky I am. How lucky I always am. How lucky I was to stumble upon Hawaii Japanese Cuisine on the ever industrious Warburton Ave. Saturday Farmers Market. Meredith's Bakery. Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bread. If you know you know. Anyways. Out in Waikiki I learned to appreciate Poke. I once appreciated Pokemon. What's Politoed up to these days. Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly depending on your grasp of history, Poke is actually a Hawaiian dish. Japanese inspired, of course, but that's why the name of this spot is quite unique (although not catchy). Catch of the day. Rack of the day. So how'd I get here? You ask? ASK ME. Fine! I'll answer. Calm down, needy much? I'm an active guy. I participate in activities. Typically solo, I'm riding solo I'm riding solo solooooo. Man, just imagine walking down the city streets with a Walkman in blasting Les Miz. The dream. Anyways. I just got back from the island life and I was craving some fresh fish, at a sizable size with some balance of fruit, veggies, sauce and quantity for a beautiful price. And I just so happened to be running myself into the ground at the track in Irvington. Or was it that low-lying track in Hastings. The bees. The bumblebees. Maybe the hornets. It was Irvington. The bulldogs. Grrrrrr. I just ran myself into the ground. Sprints for about an hour. Bad hammy. Few months later tore the calf while calfmaxxing. Probably related. First muscle injury in a spinning dixie, gotta have muscles to injure them? Not really but that's what I'll tell myself. So I rip the farmers market. Then I rip the soosh spot, ordered online. Walked in, handsomely. Very friendly and respectful and nice staff and have been everytime I've gone since. The weight of the food in hand was ridonk so I was optimistic. I also got a few desserts down the road. Some hardbody that was completely eyeing down my grass-fed grass-finished hog at the track was somehow now across the street drinking a protein smoothie. My aura stinks of grandeur, but I avoid it. I'm taken lady. Did she follow me? Gross. What a joke. Really put things into perspective. I'm a fat slob, a professional self sabotager. But I work hard for this fat and that's what makes me a special boy. Hawaii Japanese Cuisine has the best poke in the area. They never let you down. I never let you down. Benvolio. As your voice of reason, I reason you to give it a go. A humble hero in Hastings.

The Miso Soup, on the other hand, was quite watery... I'm a Miso Soup snob and fairly picky, but this one could use some real help. The salad was actually worse. Some lettuce with a little blob of carrot ginger dressing on it. I got some stuff to-go... my wife and I didn't like the calamari dish (tastes funny), I love the flavor of the beef ribs but it was way too chewy, my wife said Pork Gyoza was very good. The edamame could use some salt IMO. I liked the Chilean Sea Bass too, though I'm glad it was an appetizer. It wasn't the kind of prep that I would want a lot of. Something happened during lunch that kind of disturbed me, though. A tall, lanky Black gentlemen wearing a construction vest walked in. I vaguely heard him asking for Chinese food. The staff told him that it's Japanese food, and be could find Chinese right over on Main Street. They repeated this once or twice, but the man kept asking something. I thought I heard "what did is this? What do you have? What is it?" The staff person kind of brushed him off, motioned to the door and was done with him. He looked incredibly frustrated and it was one of those moments when I wondered if I should have just walked out. The staff saw that I noticed this, and spoke to me about it a couple of times. She claims he was demanding free food. I understand that she was busy. I get that people come in from the street and they can be a pain in the ass. I also acknowledge that she was a small Asian female and may have felt intimidated. But the interaction felt kind of racist, to be honest. It felt like she was very quick to dismiss him, show him the door. I get that this man was unlikely to become one of her better customers... granted. But I don't like the way he was treated, regardless. I would consider returning, but I hope they will consider how that treatment feels to another person.
