I thought the food here was decent. I came on the weekend to experience the All You Can Eat (AYCE) sushi with the added weekend items. The food was typical of an AYCE however I found the service to be slow and lax in pace. I wish they had more variety but since I came on the weekend I did get offerings that are only offered on the weekends (Yellowtail Tirado 8/10 , Octupus Su 6/10). I tried three of their rolls 1. Crazy Salmon 5/10, 2. Butterfly Roll 6/10, 3. Ocean 4.5/10. Tempura items were typical and fresh overall 7/10, Sashimi was decent with room for improvement 6/10, Gyozas (Pork) 6/10, Beef Satay 5/10, BBQ Squid 4/10, Miso soup 8/10. Overall I would come here again if I'm hungry but it wouldn't be because I'm craving something out of this world, it is an AYCE place with the top items being the Yellowtail Tirado in my opinion and a decent Miso soup. The price is 33.95 on the weekends so if you want to save some cash per person keep that in mind. The environment is typically tables with cushioned areas towards one side of the restaurant, it's dimly lit and a nice place to come alone, as a casual date, or a good outing with a group. read more

Came here again for all you can eat sushi and I said again because I keep coming back this place is so good. It's clean quick and they have a really good menu. If you want sushi or if you're not a huge sushi fan, but you wanna come with friends they have options for everyone because I have a lot of kitchen meals that you can pick from as well as raw fish sushi that obviously every sushi lover is looking for I always start off with a miso soup and some appetizer so some that you should get are the rock shrimp the calamari is really good too. Their girls is really yummy too. And then for the sushi rolls, I really like the salmon Nigiri, which is with just a slice of salmon in the rice on the bottom of of course we had to get the classic salmon avocado, and then we ended up getting the lobster salad roll as well as some others And then you can't end it without some ice cream so they have lots of flavors of ice cream that you can choose from and it was so delicious We came here on a Friday evening and I was surprised that it wasn't that busy when we got there, but I definitely got more packed as we stayed longer but the service is so good. They're so fast and attentive. They always come by to fill your water or ask you if you need anything else looking if you need another menu to fill out so this place really goes above and beyond to make sure you are taking care of. read more

Delicious food and top notch watchful service every time you go. Went on a busy Saturday and they still had tables available probably because they're so expeditious and organized. I was craving sushi--lots of it--so I decided to go to Sushi Castle. I've been there many times before, but it had been years since my last visit. The food quality was okay--nothing bad, but nothing exceptional either. All the rolls I tried were tasty. However, I did feel like the waitstaff was rushing me out, which was a bit annoying. If it's an AYCE restaurant, why are you rushing to give me the bill? Keep in mind, I went later in the evening, well after the dinner rush. There was no reason for them to be pressuring me. This AYCE sushi spot unfortunately won't be one that I will be returning to. The price itself is reasonable at $31 per person (reasonable with the current times as prices increase). I came to eat and the wait was actually quite quick at a busy time. The main problem however, was the large amount of rice for each piece of sushi. Usually I'm okay with the rice, however, these pieces were filled with so much rice to the point of not even being able to pick it up in a single piece. If you look at the photo, the ratio of fish to rice is completely off. Chunks of the rice would fall off when I picked them up. It definitely seems to be done on purpose to prevent people from eating more sushi or for them to have to pay for leftovers because they didn't know they would have such huge amounts of rice. I took some of the rice out and someone in the staff (maybe the owner) looked at it and told us that we'd have to either eat all the rice or pay for leftovers. I don't mind paying for leftovers, but it just seemed like a cheap ploy by putting in so much rice and then telling people about their policy. I felt pretty uncomfortable here and just couldn't wait to leave. If you do choose to come here, just be aware that the rice added to the sushi pieces are a lot. If you are one who only eats rolls, and wants all you can eat, this place might be right for you (hence the extra star). Otherwise, terrible value, even for what looks like a cheap price. The fish is of okay quality. It won't get you sick, but it's not that tasty. A piece of tuna nigiri, is about 3-4 times the amount of rice than a typical restaurant nigiri, and the fish on top is quite literally paper thin. I was somewhat impressed that they were able to slice such thin pieces without cutting themselves. The salmon I thought was pretty good. I was really excited to see that there was an AYCE (all you can eat) sushi spot located in Eastchester! I live in the Bronx so for a quick drive out to be able to enjoy ayce is awesome That being said from walking in there is a decent amount of indoor seating. And they are very clean. After every costumer leaves they clean the table and the seating area with alcohol based cleaning products. As for the service people were polite and the food came out in a timely manner. Even in the instance when someone had a lot left over and had to pay extra for the wasted food, the manager was very polite and took time to explain and make sure the customer understood. I did wish someone came in the beginning to at least explain the menu but since someone arrived before me I figured they already said we would be doing ayce. (They have regular menu as well though pricing is far better for ayce) For the food (the most important part lol): I ordered roughly 20 sushi, 5 rolls, 1 special roll, and about 20 sashimi. The fish was fresh and presentation was standard and good. The order came out accurately to what was marked on the paper for the most (we marked a lot all at once). If there's one complaint I have it's that the sushi fish to rice ratio was far off balanced. I felt the fish was on the thinner side but the rice was HUGE! And it constantly fell apart as I tried to eat and dip in soy sauce (and I'm a veteran I would say in handling chopsticks and eating sushi). Of course I expected a bit of this because it's all you can eat but I still felt it was too severe. I had to take some rice out as I ate the sushi. Thankfully there was no extra charge for the leftover rice. I would have given 4 stars but the one thing that bothered me is that while staff were all masked and the store seemed clean, no one checked vaccination even a single time for any customers I saw walking in. Have to say at a time like this when the virus is highly contagious and it is an eating venue, according to the mandate I would consider vaccination checks as necessary and proper to uphold. read more

First visit here. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall with parking in front. I visited with a small group at 3pm on a Monday. There were barely any people here. The interior is dark, with the only windows located in the front. We sat by the window, where it was warmer then the rest of the place, it didn't seem like there was any cold air coming through the vent above us. The AYCE is $29.95 on a weekday. They give you two AYCE menus to choose from, the menus are a bit confusing because some selections are served individually while others are multiple pieces. Your order is then prepared and bought out to your table. The presentation of the appetizers leaves much to be desired, and the fried appetizers were over breaded & oily. The tempura vegetables were overcooked & mushy under the thick oily breading, and the salmon & octopus dishes were both over cooked & overly sauced. The seaweed & kani salads were okay. The mushroom soup was meh, the broth was watery & the mushrooms were added to the broth raw. Honestly it might be better to skip the appetizers all together & go straight to the main menu. The main menu had a decent selection of sashimi, maki rolls, and various sushi. Many of the rolls were the same ingredients presented in a different way and despite being prepared after you place your order, the rolls weren't served hot or warm. Overall, I found the rolls to be ok for buffet style sushi. The rolls are served on a platter with a mild probably store bought greenish colored wasabi paste & pickled ginger. One plus is that they did have a decent amount of seafood to rice ratio. They offer you green tea with your meal which is included in the AYCE, but it's watered down. The dessert menu is a selection of ice creams, my favorite was red bean, it had bits of red bean in it giving it a little texture which I like. They also serve some alcohol here for those that want to know. We spent a good 3 hours here, stuffing our faces until it was hard to move, the service was good, and the waiters were attentive. I went during the week for lunch with my husband, who is not a sushi eater but will indulge in the regular entrees. I gave my husband 1 piece of the sweet potato tempura sushi and was immediately reprimanded by one of the staff. It felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. Aside from that, the food was fast and fresh and I call it a great deal for the price. I was only able to order 1 go around and was full. Next time I'll definitely go right in on the sushi and forget about the appetizer options. My friend introduced AYCE Sushi Castle before Covid and I had came a few times. Their sushi and sashimi are fresh. I like their menu is comprehensive from sushi, soup, udon, sashimi, appetizers, stir fry, special rolls to ice cream for dessert. During my recent visits, they have hand sanitizers and tables are far apart. I am glad that they still offering AYCE Sushi without breaking the bank and the quality of food was not affected by the Covid. Prices, menus and services haven't change at all. Staffs are attentive and friendly. They only sub charged $2 per person for the Covid-19 due to the operating safety costs, which I felt was reasonable since I felt it was clean and added many hand sanitizer stations. Gave them another chance! Walking out of this restaurant with a horrible experience. We informed the waiter that someone had a shelf fish allergy. Told them to bring specific item separately and that allergy was ignored. Second we were in the middle of eating and bill was placed at the table. Have been coming to this restaurant for several years without issue. My son did not like the taste of one of the rolls, attempted to turn it back and the Manager/owner, came to the table to say we cannot turn back a roll. That if the roll is not eaten we would be charge al a carte for the whole meal (not restaurants written policy). She (the owner/manager) was aggressively rude, continued to raise her voice lecturing my wife and I. I attempted to speak calmly. Unfortunately not able to get a word in. I allowed her to continue her rant. She left the table I attempted to speak with her again at the front counter only to be the recipient of her rant. I explained after many years we will never return, she responded "who cares". The absolute lack of customer service and ability to have a civil conversation was disappointing. Definitely good value and quality and would recommend for that. The problem came when the bill came. They added a 20% gratuity to the check for our party of 6, which is pretty normal I guess. But because of that, we all left the tip line blank on the final credit slips since the total already included that 20% tip. When the server came to collect the credit slips, he was angry and said to us in an annoyed way that we hadn't included a tip. This angry conversation continued as we walked out.
