Aesthetically there is a lot to be wanting with this place. It has very simple decor and it has simple paper menus. Staff are polite but aren't going to go out of their way to try and please you. However what they lack in these secondary tenets, they excel in food quality and price. It's all you can eat but you get charged extra if you do not finish your meal. That is a good way to make sure people don't waste and I love that. Secondly service is prompt and turnover is quick. Finally the food is scrumptious. The hibachi serves chicken, shrimp, beef, or just veggies and it has consistently been fantastic every time it's cooked. I hope the $120 they are charged me worth this poor review. It is my first visit and I see they advertise Hibachi style restaurant. Since my daughter doesn't eat a lot, I wanted to order a la cart. My family of four sat and the waitress gave us this two pieces of menu. The menu has NO mention that it is for buffet purposes. Without any explanations, we ordered three shrimp tempura and two udon soup (kids portion). When I noticed there is NO Hibachi show, I asked for the check. The waitress told me $120 for four buffet. We have been to all kind of buffets, the wait staff always explains all the food options. This wait staff did NOT do any of that, service is horrible like they don't exist. When I asked for adjust on the bill especially my daughter just ate one bowl of mini Udon. They refused !! I considered the $120 Price a donation since the restaurant needed more than me but again I hope it is worth this bad reviews. Absolutely NOT kid-friendly. They don't come over to check on you whatsoever, you have to flag someone down to get their attention IF they happen to notice you. I have enjoyed going to sushi palace for years. Today was a shocker and full of disappointment with the hibachi chef today - 3/5/2020. He is not friendly like the past chefs. My glass of water sat idly for the duration of my stay. Except for the hostess who was very welcoming. The sushi was not good quality. I understand that being an AYCE establishment might mean having to cut cost in certain areas, but when we're talking about raw fish that shouldn't be the case. The hibachi station is a great idea but was executed rather poorly. The food lacked flavor and it was evident that the raw food had been sitting out for a while without proper attention. Lost in translation- Okay I'm giving this place a 4 because I love sushi and there sushi is great. There food is really good. The only reason giving them a 4 is because I don't like there service. Only the two front guys and one girl really know how to speak English. Everyone else just looks at you like a chicken with your head cut off. This is a very easy AYCE sushi buffet - $25 w/ tip per person. They give you two menus when you arrive, one with the sushi and one with hibachi. We didn't try the hibachi buffet because we came here for sushi. Out of the appetizers we tried the fried dumplings and shrimp tempura. The shrimp tempura seemed to be more tempura then shrimp. You definitely get what you pay for. The sushi is okay - some were served at room temperature which caught me a little off guard and there was too much rice. The volcano roll was FIRE, really good and you can tell it was made fresh. The rolls were really a hit or miss but with the price, you can't complain. I usually always come to this location. However, I visited on 8/24/21 I ordered a few appetizers and some sushi rolls. I noticed a tick fried into my shrimp shumai. I notified the server immediately she took my plate to the back and exchanged some words with another server. At this point my stomach was turned, I hadnt even received my full meal but I informed the server I wasnt going to stay and eat after finding a bug in my food. I walk to my car and immediately have 4 staff members following me asking to pay. The chef comes up to my car and I too tell him about the bug found in the food.
