Love to come to Kru for BDs and special occasions. I love the vibes and staff there. They are always attentive. I recommend to try everything on the menu at least once. Superb!

Very tasty and quick. I like that you can order online and then pickup. Not much seating or parking currently. All spots in the parking lot are for the delivery drivers. Located inside The Line Kitchens.

We all started with apps: Truffle Hamachi Crudo, Lobster Tempura Balls, and their House Salad. All very good. No leftovers there. For the entree, I ordered their Dragon Roll: Shrimp tempura, crab mix, topped with avocado, unagi, spicy mayo sauce, unagi sauce, sesame, scallions and their Rainbow Roll: Crab mix, cucumber, avocado, topped with albacore, tuna, salmon, escolar, hamachi, unagi sauce, spicy mayo, and shared their Beef Ribeye Steak: Grilled 12oz ribeye, shishito peppers, asparagus, and teriyaki sauce. I could not eat it all, but brought it home and am having a great lunch from it as I write this. Excellent presentation and flavors! Their outdoor seating is beautiful. I highly recommend this place. It didn't take long for a wait list to accumulate so it is def a popular spot. The service was a little slow but the place was packed. The food was 5/5: - Poke Salad: 4/5. So spicy my husband had to give me his sea steak and finish it for me. - Sea Steak Salad: 4/5. The steak was perfectly grilled but most of the sauce was under a huge amount of unnecessary lettuce. - Broadway Roll: 5/5. So good. (The rolls come in 10 pieces but the cuts are smaller in size and easier to eat. We all finished our rolls. ) -Sunshine Roll: 4/5. This wasn't marked as "hot" but it was very spicy and I had to wipe some of the siracha sauce off to eat it. The lemon slices on top were delicious. - Messi Roll: 5/5. Hubby would get it again. - Firecracker Roll: 5/5. Son in law ate every bit!

I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.

Came here for dinner a couple of times, the first time I ordered the rainbow roll ($15) which is my barometer for sushi at restaurants. Decently sized, the fish was fresh and the roll was filling. Daughter ordered the ramen ($18) with the red option, which she enjoyed with the plethora of toppings. Dinner the second time, I got the teishoku set with salmon ($21). Two decently filets of salmon came with rice, miso soup, salad, deep fried egg roll and salad. You also get a choice of either croquette or chawanmushi. The chawanmushi was a highlight for me! I missed eating this savory custard when I used to live in Japan. Their version did not disappoint! This has spot has become a rotating staple for me and am looking forward to trying out more of their sushi rolls.

Served with wasabi and accoutrement. - This took forever to come out. When she finally served it to us, it was warm. Sushi rice had a good texture but the fish was warm. We sat at the bar area so, we didn't see how it was being made. My husband and I thought they probably forgot about our order and was sitting out for awhile. Disappointed but since we were happy with the other dishes, it was no big deal. I had an Orion Beer. Butterr-y tuna. Different textures bursting with different flavors. Drank the leftover sauce! Lol. Tuna seemed fresh. Ngiri Mix $48+ (2 Orders) - We decided to give this another try. This time they sat us where all the chefs were making the dishes, so I finally saw how they make ngiri. There is 1 guy who makes it and I didn't like how he would make the ngiris but was not served asap. He would make about 3 sets at a time or some thing like that. The time from when it's made and time where it's served is too long. That is why the fish is warm by the time it got to us. Also, we didn't see a fridge where he was making it but it could be underneath around his leg area. I'm a little disappointed. From all the sushi documentary's I've watched, this is not how it's suppose to be. I regret ordering the Ngiri Mix again cause the fish was warm. Same like last time! I read other reviews where people have said the quality is going down. Even though, I am not a regular here, I can kinda tell that it is. My favorite are ngiri's and it doesn't beat Kura's ngiri's right now. Kru just give's bigger portions but the quality of Kura's is superb! Shiozake Salmon $26+ Springtime congee, furikake, truffled English peas, basil oil, and pickled radish. - DELICIOUS. Crispy salmon skin, tender and butter-y salmon, congee does have a springtime taste and is the perfect texture. Every ingredient complimented each other. Ibérico Kashira Kushiyaki $16+ Den miso tare, basil-mint pistou, grilled lemon - SO-SO. Pork was tender but was wayyy too salty. Kru's ambiance is dark, chill environment with lights shining down on where it matters like the food and selfie pics lol. It can get loud when it get's busy. Mos def chiq and aesthically pleasing. Every little detail from the ceiling to the floor, table setting, mural, bathroom, and even menus were all BEAUTIFUL! SPECIAL SHOUT OUT: To all the resto staff that helped us for both nights.
