This sushi spot has been on my list for so long! And we just so happened to come on a Tues and found out it was 50% off drinks! This is a pretty good sushi spot especially with great pricing! I had to order the very aesthetic omakase. And pretty affordable at $50. All the cuts were delicious. I'd say it is very worth it! We also got lots of rolls to share and the eel appetizer! Loved them all! Especially the baked roll, which normally I'm not a super big fan of baked rolls but this one turned out to be my favorite roll of the night. Wanted to get some sushi close by and always drove by this spot. The nigiri was okay. The fish pieces were dry and tasted a lot better after added some wasabi and soy sauce to it. The rolls were actually really good and affordable (comparing it to other sushi spots in the area). Service was self order and the food came out quick. The portion sizes are definitely more than adequate for a lunch meal and I was very impressed by the quality of the ingredients. The fish tasted fresh and quite tasty. The tonkatsu was flavorful, crispy, and still moist. I enjoyed the steamed egg as it came with a surprise of beef or shrimp at the bottom. The salad dressing was a tangy vinaigrette on top of a bed of fresh spring mix. Service was quite good despite how busy they were. I ended up getting the deluxe chirashi ($36), which came out to be 11 pieces of fish + uni and ikura on top of rice. I believe the deluxe chirashi came with toro, salmon, hamachi?, sea bream?, seared albacore, and ikura. I liked all the choices except the albacore. The toro was not too fatty where it tasted like eating oil, and maintained a nice bite. The other fish were also fresh and did not have a bad fishy taste. The seared albacore just paled in comparison to the other fish. Not my preference. The pieces of fish weren't cut too thin, though I've had thicker. The menu and ordering are done by QR code. Not a big fan of that system since I prefer having the physical menu. Not too many parties when we were there since we went after lunch, so food came out pretty quick. This is a long overdue review. Sushi has always been my favorite food. I have been to lots of sushi restaurants and I must say, this has the most fresh sashimi and delicious fried rolls. I was here last week, accidentally spilled my drink onto the floor. The waiter not only helped clean the area but also gave me a new drink without charge. Tucked away in a little plaza, this place is serving up some delicious sushi. One of my friends suggested this place to me and it's probably my go to spot for sushi at the moment. There is a huge parking lot but it can be busy since it's shared with a lot of stores. The place is smaller, but there are a good amount of tables. You scan the QR code and order from your phone. I think if you ask, they have a physical menu. When I look at the menu online, it seems like they almost have a discount on certain items. I'm sure it changes through the day but I just wanted to note that. We shared the fried squid tentacles and it's soooo good. It's lightly breaded which is perfect. There was more to the order than what I showed in the picture but we got hungry and I forgot to take a picture. My boyfriend got the salmon don and my sister got the mango yellow tail roll. They both loved their dishes. I ordered the omakase and the presentation was so good!! It came with miso soup and a steamed egg. I wasn't a big fan of the steam egg but I'm glad I tried it! This is clearly where the locals go. We happened to be in the area shopping and stopped by around 7:30 and scored a table. For the next couple of hours, there was a constant line outside the door and for good reason. Although they are able to turn the tables pretty quickly, the service was still good and nobody made you feel rushed. Van Trinh was our waitress and she was very sweet. While she grabbed our drinks, we ordered our food from the table via QR code. If you have any questions, almost anyone will help you. The fish and avocado didnt really blend nicely together on top of the roll My uncle got the terriyaki bento and it was a really good value for the price. That was huge! It came with salad, rice, and miso soup. He added the chawanmushi. We thought it was alright but then again we never had it before. My aunt enjoyed her chirashi don, and the fish was very fresh! I stumbled upon Sushi Pro while running errands in the area. It had solid ratings that really intrigued me so I decided to grab a quick lunch to go. They don't offer a physical menu, you can only browse through their iPad by the register. I ordered their pork tonkatsu lunch bento with gyoza (about $17 before tip). The waitress was really nice and offered me water and tea while I waited for my bento. My order was ready fairly quickly and even though I wasn't able to eat it right away, it was still hot about 15 minutes later. My bento came with a side salad and miso soup. I was thoroughly impressed with the light crunchiness and juiciness of the tonkatsu, probably one of the best I've had in a very long time. I also really liked the pink dressing that the side salad came with and wished the entire portion was larger so I could've kept eating. My go to sushi spot is a bit far, so I was happy to see a new place open up in San Jose! I've tried the omakase set and a few rolls, and the food was good and service was great. The omakase set ($50) includes 10 pieces of nigiri along with miso soup and chawanmushi. I left the restaurant feeling pretty content with just the omakase. For $50, the quality of the fish is pretty decent; none of them were fishy. They all tasted fresh and buttery. The chawanmushi had shiitake mushroom, shrimp, and mushroom in it. It's a little light in flavor. Service was good. After seeing Sushi Pro on Instagram, we were intrigued by the photogenic presentation of the omakase meal. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect when we first walked in, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the incredibly friendly staff. I couldn't quite put my finger on the vibe of Sushi Pro because it felt like a take-out place, but there were clearly a lot of people dining in and the presentation of the food was really well done. It definitely felt more casual than intimate. FOOD: We HAD to order the omakase, which comes with 10 pieces of nigiri, a piping hot miso soup, and a tasty chawanmushi (an egg appetizer with mushrooms and other ingredients). We also shared the Rainbow Roll just to have something extra to snack on. My boyfriend and I absolutely love sushi and we were both impressed with how tasty the sushi was, especially coupled with how inexpensive it is compared to other sushi places. The fish wasn't the highest quality, but it was still definitely fresh and some of the pieces were so buttery and smooth. SERVICE: We were greeted and sat immediately upon arrival. Disappointing meal for a very high price. I spent $160 on my sushi meal here and it was sadly no better than going to a sushi buffet. In fact I wish I had. The only thing I liked was a spider roll and fried amaebi heads. So basically fried things. The problems started with the chawanmushi, which was pretty flavorless and had huge chunks of unidentifiable fish in it. And a giant, slimy shiitake mushroom. Guess what type of mushroom is my least favorite... The Yellowtail Jalapeño and Albacore Tataki were next and they were really bad. I didn't even want to eat them. The yellowtail's flavor was completely obliterated with sweet dressing, and the albacore had giant chunks of red onion, which was pretty much the only taste. Next I had a lot of nigiri, and while the fish all looked different, it all had the same flavor (none) and texture (mush). Never have I ever wanted to leave uneaten sushi until this meal. The amaebi had an odd bitter flavor, disappointing when it's supposed to be "sweet shrimp". I will say the ika (squid) wasn't bad. So yeah, $160 and I would have been significantly happier at Sushi Tomi. If you come here, I guess just stick to fried things. The service is also nice. Parking is very tricky. read more

The restaurant is pretty small inside and the tables are super close together but our dinner was decent! The chicken karaage actually sucked xD I literally could not take bites out of the pieces because it was so tough. They were also tiny and so few it was like $2 per mini chicken nugget. I've seen a lot of good things about Sushi Pro on Instagram so I had to give it a try. My friend and I came here on a Friday evening around 6pm and waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. I thought it was nice that they offered water to people who were waiting for a table. We got seated and were able to order via a QR code on the table. Once we placed our order, a plate of sushi was brought to us within a couple of minutes. Lucky for them, we like to take pictures of our food, because the server accidentally brought out the wrong order and took it back from us and gave it to the right table. We got the correct order a few minutes later. We ordered: -Toro Heaven Roll (on sale, $14.99) -Salmon Lover Roll (on sale, $14.99) -Firework Roll ($13.99) -Mango Tuna Roll ($14.99) All of the rolls were delicious and fresh. And the Firework Roll was my favorite of the night. The prices were also pretty fair given the portion sizes. The staff were pretty attentive and kept refilling our waters without us having to ask. The tables are seated a little too close together so sometimes people would bump into us. There was plenty of parking available in the plaza. Overall, I had a good experience and would like to come back to try their Omakase Nigiri that everyone was getting (it looked so nice). read more

We came as a group of 4 on a Friday at 7pm for dinner and this place was packed. You put your name on a wait list and there were a couple of groups waiting outside also waiting for tables. Sushi Pro is located inside of a plaza that has Sprouts, the habit burger right next door, and a decent amount of other food spots around-- yet Sushi Pro was definitely the busiest. Thankfully the wait wasn't too long (around 15-20 minutes). Their menus were on QR codes and our server told us to scan the QR code and order directly from our phones. Our table ordered 2 Omakase sets, which were about $50 each, a chicken teriyaki rice plate, and a couple of other small nigiri items. The staircase plate they put their omakase on makes it feel very grand and is pretty cool presentation-wise. The fish was fresh and the omakase was worth trying. Other than bringing us water and the food, the servers didn't come by much. After we paid the bill, we did feel some urgency from the servers for us to get moving so that they could seat other parties, but overall we still enjoyed our dinner.
