Let me start with the fact I don't like leaving such low reviews. But with the price of the dishes and how we ended up, I think there is no other option. The place is quite tiny. It's cute, i loved the portrait of the cat eating sushi. It was quite crowded but they seated us quickly. I like their selection too, quite diverse. I got the deluxe chirashi? I don't think it was called that frankly in person it went by a different name. But it was toro, scallop, salmon, and ikura over rice. Edit: it was the kaisen don? I think. It was 42 or 45 dollars. Frankly I think it was a terrible portion for the cost. I've had "dons" for half the price and twice the size. I can't deny it tasted good but it wasn't worth the price. I've had better dons for better prices. I was willing to put it all behind me. The waiters were ok, helped us pretty quickly though the restaurant was always crowded. I had a decent experience aside from my clear disdain for the cost. It's a shame my friend and I got intense food poisoning. I don't think I'll be coming back.

Stopped by this sushi spot for dinner and was really impressed with their omakase. The fish was fresh and beautifully presented, and every piece tasted great. We also ordered a couple of additional rolls, which were just as delicious. It's a very casual restaurant, making it an easy spot for a relaxed dinner. The staff were friendly and nice. Definitely planning to come back to try more items on the menu!

My favorites were the California Roll, Salmon Lover Roll, and Dragon Roll. The California Roll was simple, with fresh avocado and a good ratio of rice to filling. The Salmon Lover Roll tasted clean and fresh, with slices of salmon that didn't taste or smell fishy. The Dragon Roll had a combination of flavors from the eel and the avocado layered on top, with the eel sauce adding a subtle sweetness. The Lion King Roll and Monster Roll were okay. They had a decent flavor, but didn't stand out compared to the other rolls.

This was our second time here and we loved it even more than the first time. The food is super yummy and price isn't that bad! The waiters are very attentive, refilling our water cups, picking up empty dishes on the go! We loved the ambiance of the place. Brought all the kids and they were able to accommodate us even with a walk in on a busy night.

Came back to try other items :) Service is still great. For such a small place, I have to say they have quite a few waiters and waitresses (at least 3) working there. They all do everything fast - serve the food, clean tables and take orders. Kudos to the team. The Unagi appetizer is nice and the meat is pretty thick. This is a good option if you are carb conscious and can skip the rice. The toro and seared salmon belly with truffle are awesome. They just melt in your mouth, so good! The sushi combo is interesting. The presentation is excellent. I wish they would at least tell us what each piece of nigiri is when they bring this dish to our table. We could not tell what we were eating for two of the pieces. They just drop it off at the table and left in a hurry Please at least educate us next time what the chef made.

Came here on a Friday night because I was craving nigiri. There was a short wait since seating was full, but there was no line. Once we were seated, we used the QR code to order. There wasn't much interaction with the staff since ordering is done through the app. The place is cozy, clean, and nice. I ordered the sake salmon nigiri, seared salmon belly nigiri, toro nigiri, and scallop hotate. The salmon and toro were my favorites. I also got the toro roll, which was good, and really enjoyed the oysters. This is my new favorite spot in San Jose for nigiri.

This is my second time coming to Sushi Pro to eat, because I had a great first experience. This time around also did not disappoint. Though we were immediately seated, the restaurant itself was pretty busy, with most tables taken up. I would recommend calling for a reservation for bigger parties. Both service and food was great, with the sushi quality being above average compared to your neighboring sushi restaurants. The omakase pictured below is definitely going to be my go to moving forward. Every bite felt and tasted high quality and delicious. I also feel like items were reasonably priced for what we got. Would definitely come back again.

FOOD is good! You can scan the menu with your phone and order. However the order didn't go through and the server knew to check with us to ask what we ordered. They then bring the check to you at the end. It's a smaller restaurant. Simple inside. It's in the same shopping plaza as Sprouts and Home Goods. It's near my house and they prepare the food fast.

Quite crowded on a Saturday evening. My party waited around 15 minutes for a table. We all got our own Sushi Special, which was 6 pc california roll and 5 pc premium nigiri. For $21.99, it was a pretty good deal and I like the presentation on the wooden board "staircase". My favorite nigiri pieces were the salmon and tuna. California roll was solid too and a good filler. The stickiness of the rice in the nigiri and california roll was at a perfect level. Overall solid food and prices are reasonable. Would come again!

This was a really good sushi spot! The quality of fish is good and I enjoyed the flavors. The wait wasn't too long and the service was quick. You do order online by yourself though. There were some gnats flying around which was annoying. Overall good and I would get takeout.

Probably my new favorite sushi joint at the moment. Looks and decor matters, as well as the food taste. I really like how the interior is decorated and how the assortment comes out when you buy their sushi plate. The nice wooden stairs ensemble was a great photo op! The prices are actually pretty decent for this economy and they have nice happy hours too. Although parking is plentiful it fills up way too quickly and if you show up on a weekday lunch rush (usually starts around 12pm lasts until 1-1:30pm) it can be hell on Earth. There are tons of places to eat here in this plaza and not only are there dine-in patrons trying to park but lots of food delivery service as well adding to the chaos.

I was super interested in trying out this sushi spot after seeing the beautiful displays of the omakase online. They also serve the sashimi in this pretty moon vessel which I thought was cool. Our party of three came in around 7:30 on a Friday and waited 25 minutes for a table. There was a big crowd outside, so you know it's popular. The store itself does not have much space but they make good use of their limited space by packing in a lot of tables. Ordering was easy, as we did it online and there were plenty of photos for reference. We ordered an array of appetizers like chicken cartilage, mixed tempura, some nigiri, and a lion king roll. Everything was delicious. I liked that the tempura had three of each item; I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but each of us was able to get one piece of each item. Then we had two omakases. The display is just as gorgeous in-person as it is online. The server went over all the fish, from leanest to fattiest. It also came with a miso soup and a steamed egg. My favorite piece was the fish with truffle on it. Amazing! They seemed to have a great deal on alcohol during our stay too. It was 50% off all drinks from the afternoon until closing. We washed down our food with 2 bottles of hot sake. Our DD got a delicious oolong soda with lychee. The service was exceptional. I didn't catch his name, but we had a server who watched over us the whole time and even gave us a complimentary bottle of sake on the house. He had a Vietnamese accent. He made us feel so cared for! The other people working were attentive, such as with refilling our water. Overall, this was a fantastic dinner experience.

Apparently I was hungry .. the avocado roll was there and then it wasn't! Digital menu & ordering. Located in shopping center with indoor & some outdoor seating. Lots of To Go orders and plenty of parking.. On this visit, I enjoyed a Tempura Bento box and a few CA, Deep fried CA & Rainbow rolls. Each dish offered its unique flavors combination. On a previous visit, we ate family style, tried new dishes & sipped Sake I look forward to the many visits to come!

Does this restaurant do anything special for customers celebrating birthdays?

yes we do give complimentary cheese cake

Is takeout available? There's no website listed & no menu pictures.

It is! It's the only way I order. They present the menu inside on an iPad. Not sure why they don't have one on the website, but also note they close at 2:30 some days to prepare for dinner.

Do they have highchair seating for toddlers?

Yes, we have 1 highchair in the restaurant. You can ask server for it. Thank you for the inquiry. Look forward to seeing you soon. -The Sushi Pro Team

Also the desert was great considering I do have a basis for mangos. Their sake flight, is something I'd recommend too. ONE thing I didn't enjoy was their scallop and uni dish. The customer service here is exceptional, they're all really nice people and very attentive. Booking a reservation was super easy online. We did the table experience and while the restaurant isn't huge, it's the perfect size for an intimate dining experience and it's well decorated. With the table experience, you get everything that the bar experience would get except the chef isn't serving it directly to you. Servers bring each course to your table after you finish each plate. For the food, every course was delicious! However, the portions are small. Great quality and the presentation is really nice, but if you have a bigger appetite or you're coming here starving, you will still be hungry at the end and probably will order more items à la carte. It does get expensive when you do this. I probably ended up spending as much as a more premium omakase, but the options we chose were really tasty so I don't have any regrets. Overall this was a great first omakase experience and I would come here again! It's really cool how they change up the menu every month.
