Recently stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday evening when we were in search of ramen (I was cold...). We were greeted warmly and asked if we minded that there'd be karaoke/also asked if we'd like to participate in said karaoke. We totally thought they were kidding about this at first, but they were not. They dropped off a giant book of song selections and asked us to let em' know when/if we wanted to pick something. Onward to the food--I was super tempted to get some rolls but decided to stick with my original craving for something hot with noodles and eventually decided on the chicken & vegetable ramen (shoyu + mild spiciness). It was delicious sass and definitely hit the spot! Portion sizes were very reasonable for the price and they definitely didn't skimp on the meat or the veggies! Each of our orders came with a side salad too! The ambiance here is very cozy and family-style. Service was attentive and we really enjoyed our time here. (We even got suckered intro actually choosing a few songs to sing, haha. They have a pretty impressive collection of songs, from English to Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai... There is a separate ginormous book for Korean songs if that's your jam. I'm not entirely sure if this is a regular occurrence since no one else has mentioned karaoke in their reviews, but it was a fun night. I'm sure we'll be back to try out the rolls soon! read more

We went on a Saturday evening and received great service and delicious, quality food. Kids had katsu that was crispy and light with meat. That was really great quality without a lot of fat hidden inside like other places adults had the sushi and we are definitely coming back for more. A huge plus was soup, salad was included in the meal. Maybe we ordered a lot of food, so we got edamame and gyoiza plus ice cream on the house. Wow what a great Sushi find! This is our new favorite Sushi restaurant. The people who work here are so nice, the food is fantastic, from their bento boxes, to their sashimi, to their wild Sushi roles. Great portion sizes, to the awesome free Miso soup and salads. We would have taken pictures but the take out packing wouldn't have done it justice. Mind you they did a fantastic job with the take out packaging. Sushi Raku is located in the same shopping center, and the same side of the parking lot as the former Fry's. They're basically right next to Black Diamond Gaming, so if you know where that is, you can find Sushi Raku. It's a pretty quaint spot. Not very large, but has seating and smaller sushi bar area. Their menu is pretty large, as it's one of those spots that want to do everything, so not just sushi, so it's got the full Japanese cuisine available from several menus. Today we mainly just went with the sushi stuff. The staff here are friendly enough, no complaints. Pricing wise, it's about on par with most of the other sushi spots around the area, and with places like Kansai literally in the same shopping center as them, this is probably a plus for some. The rolls were all just okay though. None of them really stood out too much, but the one thing that I didn't like here was the unagi sauce, as they use a savory one rather than the sweeter one, but that's just me, so more of a fyi for those who care. I just feel the sauces were bland at times, as you can see from the picture it appears to be a lot of sauces, but when you actually eat the pieces, it doesn't even really feel like there was much sauce on it. The portions are pretty good for rolls, so from that perspective it's a good value. There was one particular roll we had a problem with though. It was marked as their giant roll, and I have to say this was by far the worst experience. We got here when they first opened, and only one of two tables in there, so you would think that when you are ordering one of their giant rolls which supposedly would come with a bunch of different fishes on it, it would be a signature type experience. It was the opposite. The ingredients on it all felt old, and not fresh at all. The unagi that came on top of it was cold. Not lukewarm, not room temperature, it was cold. Eating cold unagi is not the best experience, for those who are unaware, and this isn't like cold unagi that is soft, but the kind that is tough and chewy, and starts to taste a little fishy. This was not good. We ordered a few rolls, so at least only one of them was bad. The salad was nice with good dressing. Pricing was decent. Portions are good. So final verdict, I'd probably come back again, but will be trying out some of the other stuff perhaps on the non-sushi menu to see how those go. read more

Second time at this spot and it didn't disappoint! I came for the food AND the service, which were both amazing. Flavors, portions, and sushi freshness-SO GOOD! Mannn...If my company wasn't moving out of this building... This week I had the misfortune if having to work in my office. I've been at home all of covid but my card was pulled...and I had to come in. What's something that can turn your mood around on a rotten day? Food. Good food in-fact. But I already had been eating horrible the last 2 weeks due to the holidays/my birthday. So I decided on something a little more on the fresher side. Sushi. My go to is usually Kansai since my building always was right across from it. But I thought I's try something new. Enter Sushi Raku. Pretty much in the area right behind the shopping center. I actually would call this a hidden gem. It's a small little place but I liked the interior. It definitely had a more traditional Japanese feel to it. I ordered 3 rolls this day. What I hadn't realized is that each meal comes with not just soup but ALSO salad. And its good. The soup is a standard Miso soup and the salad isn't too bad either. It comes with this really good dressing. No idea what it is but definitely is more on the 1000 Island side. When we got in there we we're happily greeted by a lady at the counter. I'm not sure if I was really nice or something but she gave us a Free Gyoza on the house. I was so pumped. Like literally checked the receipt to make sure I didn't order it on accident and it was nowhere on there. This.place.rocks. So the rolls were Rainbow, Giant and Rock and Roll. The Rainbow was for my buddy and I ordered a second roll because I wanted some Unagi in my left. That was the Rock and Roll. It was pretty damn delicious. The highlight today however is the Giant Roll. It's huge and tasty. It has all the fish and delicious sauces. It's like the Long Island Iced Tea of sushi rolls. Its got a little bit of everything. Will never go back . Forgot items for my Togo order the main part of my items . Then had things on the rolls I did not want after I asked them if it would have eel or not . We made reservations for Valentine's Day and they were superrr busy at nighttime. We arrive about 10 min early and they didn't have my name saved on one of the reserved tables, but thankfully they still sat us at a table anyway. I love this restaurant because it has a small, intimate and homey feel to it, but being a smaller restaurant is hard in terms of service. Every time I come here, the food is always good. I love their salmon teriyaki because it's crispy and flavorful. I ordered their lion king roll, which was good. It took a while but that's to be expected of a baked sushi roll because it usually takes forever at every sushi restaurant. My boyfriend enjoyed their karaage curry, but it was a bit heavy. I always thought this place was a takeout place since it looked small from outside. It's true it was a small restaurant and quite cozy. Staff was very friendly and vibrant. Food came out really fast. Food was good and gave big portions; good prices. I had the samurai roll which filled me up. I got ebi katsu curry which was just huge. Oh my gosh, this place is off the charts. Would give 6 stars if it was an option. We've been coming here about a year. The food is great. The service is top knotch. Family owned and run. Love the simba, una mountain rolls. There's a few others but I forget what they're called. They have kids shows on so my 3.5yo LOVES it. Incredibly kid friendly. It's always a struggle to figure out what to eat but I'm really glad to have stumbled upon this hidden gem! Frankly, I never really go out of my way for sushi but Sushi Raku may have just changed that. I came here with a friend after work and wanted to eat something good to start off the weekend. Upon entering, we were seated immediately. My friend ordered the chicken katsu curry while I had the samurai and lion king roll. As we waited for our food, a waiter dropped off edamame at our table. My friend and I looked at each other confused, thinking this must have been a mistake. I flag the waitress down and she responds, "It's complimentary, on the house!" Delighted by their generosity, we start snacking away. Our food arrives and everything looks amazing -- the chicken katsu curry was ginormous! I instantly knew my friend wasn't going to finish and the rolls tasted just as great. The samurai roll was the star of the show; I would definitely order that again. After we paid our bill, they brought out ice cream for us to eat. Could this day get any better?! I really enjoyed my dining experience here. The ambience is cozy yet so lively inside. I saw someone (assuming it's the owner) checking in on customers and asking if everything was okay; people were happily commending the food. I really like this place that I have been coming to this location once a week for about 6 months . The service and the food has always been excellent. I always recommended this place when ever i get a chance. So it hurts to write this review. The last 2 times have been very disappointing . The teriyaki chicken taste old, the sushi taste, like store bought . But what really took the cake was the last time I was in there. I order edamame with no salt and my usual bento box with teriyaki, chicken and california roll .I got my food and it look great but I notice the edamame had salt so I let my waitress, know and she said sorry I'll take care of it . Not even a min they come back I was like that's to fast .They were cold and had water at the bottom of the bowl. I flagged my waitress again and ask her if she washed the salt off and to my surprise she said yes,I was blown away . She said I'll make u new ones I was like ok ill give it a try . Like 2 mins layer they come back hot but notice they look odd all she did was put them back in hot water .So I eat my bento box and leave the edamame on the table and pay my bill. First time ordering here, Was craving sushi and it satisfied my cravings. The ladies who worked here are super nice!! I would definitely want to dine in next time. The tables were clean and the soy sauce was Saran wrapped for sanitation. Salad and miso soup were good, like any other Japanese restaurants. I enjoyed it. Too much rice for to fish proportions. But it was overall tasty! I like bite size pieces. I got the chicken bento box. Wow. The grilled chicken was charred to perfection. The teriyaki sauce they use tastes homemade. It's delicious! Tempura was fried perfectly. I loved that all the veggies including onions still had a bite to it and not soggy from being fried. A local sushi spot in Concord. Their sign on the building is broken, so I wasn't really expecting much, but surprisingly there were still customers coming and going. Service was super nice and friendly, she was the only one serving the tables, taking orders as well as managed the to-go orders, since the restaurant is small. She always greeted us with a smile, which felt very welcoming. As for the food, I always order sushi with lemon on top, and this one is called the 49er. It also came with a side of salad and miso soup. I was surprised because they were pretty big sushi rolls, compared to other sushi places I've been, but the only downside for me was that the lemon slices were thick, so it was a bit hard for me to enjoy the sushi with the lemon rind being thick (it doesn't look thick in the picture, but it was thicker than how other places would usually slice it). Regardless of my lemon preference, I enjoyed our first time experience, I would drop by again if I was in the area and craving sushi. read more
