I have been coming to sushi rock for close to 20 years. Lately, they have redecorated the interior, and the ambiance is fun and enjoyable! In particular, I loved how they decorated for the holidays! I usually order to-go, but because of the decor, we stayed and ordered in! They have a nice vegetarian combo with the vegetable roll, nigiri, and a hand roll. The ginger side salad is a nice size. I have also enjoyed their vegetable tempura in the past, and I appreciate when they have accommodated me when I request a custom simple vegetarian roll. We hope they will be around for a long time!

This past weekend we decided to have some dinner at a nice homey sushi bar in the Pinecrest area called Sushi Rock. Here you will find several classic rolls plus some great unique creations only found in this restaurant. We ordered the Spicy tuna lover roll and the fisherman roll which came with raw plump scallops on the inside and sliced shrimp and avocado on top. Both rolls were delicious and very fresh, and a very good portion size. Continuing with our scallops theme we ordered their grilled scallops on skewers which were also tasty and came with great sweet dipping sauce. We got two additional items the Boston roll with shrimp and lettuce and steamed shrimp dumplings. For dessert we ordered an ice cream tempura which was one of the best we had in a long time. For a solid night of sushi there is nothing like sushi rock!!

I love this spot! Have been coming here for over about 15 years! The staff is great, they always are kind and the ambiance is a cool vibe. The food is good and their ginger salad is one of my favorites in miami. Tuna tataki is always a good choice and the chicken stir-fry is amazing. My husband loves the salmon dragon roll. Come here for great food in Pinecrest.

Decided to come here and give it a try because my usual sushi place was packed and sushi rock came up as an option. Sushi rock's decor is that of a old time dinner but with a music theme. Very outdated. Food itself is also a bit under par. We ordered miso soupwhich came warm... not hot and had to send it back to reheat. Ginger dressing for the house salad was a little under seasoned. Sushi rice was good and fish seemed fresh. Definitely not the best sushi in the area. I saw a few of cooked dishes that looked tasty.... like a fried rice and also a noodles dish. Maybe those are better here. The restaurant looked clean and service was outstanding. Friendly and attentive.

Great service. Price is right. Tons of parking. Nice vegan plate. Worlds greatest? No. But a nice option for a quick Sunday sushi stop while shopping.

Where else do you sit eating a spider roll with a guitar on the wall listening to stair way to heaven Followed by Maggie Mae. They once had a ton of Album covers on the wall but most are now gone. The decor is still nice comfortable booths with rock paintings and guitars and some vinyl and album covers on the wall. This is owned by the sushi Siam group so they surely have good Thai but I always come here for the rolls. They kill it on the rolls everything from spider rolls to jb rolls to California on and on. All are excellent. They service is always excellent and I have been here many times. Really when a restaurant survives over 15 years you know they are doing something right. Ps they are on the herald prime card so You can get 15% off

I was craving sushi on vacation and drove from Dania Beach to Fort Lauderdale to eat at Sushi Rock. We were immediately seated in the back of the restaurant. We had a main server, who was very busy with takeout orders, so another server stepped in to keep our service up without interruption. The food was absolutely amazing, there have so many creative options for sushi rolls. We left happy and full!

So we walked into Sushi Rock just 30 minutes before closing because the sushi cravings were acting up and it's hard to suppress them. The service was great and they were very welcoming despite the late walk in. The rolls were massive and chunky which makes you feel like you get your money worth because some places are bite size. Sushi Rock is high quality with 80's tunes in the background and Christmas light strung throughout to create a diner like atmosphere. It's a great local sushi place that I'll definitely return to.

Recently, we moved to this area and have made this our go-to Thai restaurant and we also love their sashimi when you just want some great fresh slices of hamachi. Recently, I tried their pad thai. I am not normally a pad thai lover however, this pad thai is made with angel hair type noodles that really soak up the delicious sauce. Included in the chicken pad Thai is also perfectly cooked tofu and delicious pork rinds. Honestly, its so good that it can satisfy a pasta craving also. Their tom kha soup is also in my opinion the best in Miami. It's not overly watery or just coconut milk like most offerings. Pla tu makes it with fresh herbs and has a little bit of heat mixed in. It's so good. The pieces of chicken and mushrooms are also tender and not overly boiled like most tom kha soups. We also go for the sushi. Their sashimi is extremely fresh and we can never turn down some fresh sliced hamachi here. Lastly, yesterday we tried the Thai Donuts. I am not normally a fan but the waitress insisted we try and boy are we glad we did. They were warm pillows that melted in our mouths and we scarfed them down. I don't think I will ever visit again without ordering them. I love this place. Service is great. Food is consistently delicious and I will always be back.

Tuna same unless it is tuna belly which is deep frozen and japanese would be with Hamachi japanese, including Conch and uni from Baja California the only rolls that I would order. As the cost have risen on raw materials restaurant Chef are buying more affordable seafood to maximize food cost vs profitability. In retrospect I like the place but I could live without dining there as often as we used to, unless more choices became available. Bon appétit and bonne chance.

I will say the sushi roll itself (while not necessarily small) was not all that large/filling, so I would recommend getting something else on the side. I liked that their roll and appetizers had a fun flavor and uniqueness that I haven't seen at other places. But I will say the prices are a little expensive but I guess average for Miami area. I was surprised to find single-use chopsticks over reusable ones. A small detail in an otherwise fairly nice restaurant that did kind of stick out to me. The vibe kind of felt like a mix of a slightly more upscale restaurant, but also kind of minimalist modern if that makes sense? Additionally, our service was a bit slow, with our waiter right over our shoulder asking if we were ready to place our order, no then not being around for the rest of the meal. Maybe it was just an off night though, and the food did come out fairly quickly. Overall I did enjoy my meal here, and I would probably come back eventually when I want something slightly more upscale. But on a day-to-day I would probably go Edward for my sushi fix. Not that the food was bad by any meals. I really enjoyed the fun and different flavor combinations, it's just a little pricy to go to everyday, and in my opinion the main portion sizes don't quite reflect that or have any particular flare to them aside from a colorful/flavorful sauce or topping in them. Recommend a try if you are nearby though to see for yourself.

We ended up here on NYE for a quickie bite before heading to Fairchild's Night Garden. The vibe is kitschy and fun and the menu hits the sweet spot for Japonophiles with a curated assortment of faves from takoyaki to tonkotsu and even onigiri. On this night we wanted to keep it light so we started with the Japanese pickles which were a vibrant and crisp mix of veggies. Then a miso soup with fried rolled tofu sheets and lots of fresh green onions. We can never pass up his and hers unagi nigiri, and these were perfection: warm, sweet, and buttery on the tongue. Then it was time for makimono. Sushi in Japan tends to be simpler with a focus on expertly cut fresh fish, but at Umaimon they depart from the classics to play to the American palate with ingredients like cream cheese and mango. Now these are not the most creative offerings you'll find in the 305, but they do offer solid choices done well. He had the Twin Dragon and I couldn't pass on the Sugar Daddy.
