The inside of the restaurant however is beautiful and the ambiance was very chill. They did however let a guest have their dog out of the carrier which seems quite unsanitary. I have really struggled with what to rate Sushi Sake as part of it was great and part of it was horrific. If we call this place a bar that happens to serve sushi, it gets 4 stars. But if this is a sushi place with a great bar, then it is 2 stars. The good: the decor is wonderful, and the atmosphere is top notch. The service is on point (they are still learning, but that is expected) and the drinks were great. The bad: the sushi was a complete joke. Our nigiri looked like it was cut and assembled by somebody that has never served sushi. Normally that wouldn't matter, but their prices are well above normal. $5 - $7 for one piece of nigiri, whereas other sushi places will give you two, demands that the fish is top quality and the presentation is perfect. Unfortunately neither happened. The nigiri fish looked like a kid butchered it, it wasn't really fresh and the rice was terrible. Their sushi dinner, for $45 gives you 15 pieces of nigiri. One generally does not get three pieces of shrimp, tuna, salmon, escolar and one more type of bland fish for one of their most expensive dishes, but that is what came out. The ceviche was good, but again, the fish was cut to much different lengths and thickness, which was a shame. Again, the staff was very friendly, and had we just came for drinks, we would have been happy. The margarita was great, and their version of sangria was also great. Sadly. The sushi was a complete miss. Hopefully they fix these issues as the foundation is there to build upon. read more

Went here for the first time tonight. Service was great, atmosphere was great. The place is clean & love the outside seating. Food was good but small portions & very pricey. The assembly of the sushi wasn't done very well. The hand roll barely had anything in it. Every other sushi place has it stuffed. The happy hour sushi doesn't offer any raw sushi, mostly cream cheese in them. They're mostly California rolls with cream cheese & dressed up. The other happy hour items like the dumplings were good. One of the apps, shrimp with teriyaki sauce was incredibly salty & my teens agreed. I really wanted to love this place as we go out for sushi on a regular basis but for those prices we expected more. We made a Lunch stop on Friday 10/24 around 1:30pm, have been here about 3 times and always looked forward to my return. On this particular visit Joshua the manager was not present, we walked in, no one was at the door, we waited, someone finally came to the front, but did not greet Us, I then said, "Hello, two Please" She then asked inside or outside dinning, we chose inside. She then took us to the table, the server came to the table and and brought us water, not asking if we wanted anything else to drink. She came to take our orders, this was lunch time and the service was really slow, seems maybe there was a lot of Door Dash orders or sometime. My Sunomono came out, by itself, yet it was dry and the vinegar, sweet sauce was very minimal, if at all. My Partners food never came to the table, as I was getting done the server came back and we expressed our dis-satisfaction with the service and the food that did come out. Seems the Sushi Chef may have been seriously overwhelmed, My partner went to the car as I paid for what I consumed, asked the server if Joshua had a card, She replied no, but he's on his way in.
