What did I bite into??? There was a piece of plastic in the carrot salad! I am in Phoenix for two days, and a friend recommends this Mexican Sushi spot. I decide to get the Vaquero Roll and Hot Cheeto Roll. They're OK. Not real sushi rolls but I should have gotten a real one to compare. I decide to focus on the very good crab salad and the carrot salad. Lo and behold there is a PIECE OF PLASTIC in the salad. So disappointed it took what apetite I had away. It was empty in there, but the rolls were prepared quickly. Nevertheless I will not be coming back.

I got Teriyaki chicken & it was really good! Very large portion too! I was expecting a smaller bowl but it's a very large to go plate! Also got the cheesecake & it was good! Recommend for those looking for a quick healthy dinner/lunch.

I came here for a late lunch, around 3pm/4pm. I was the only person dining in, but people were coming in-and-out to pick up orders. They were very busy when it came to pick-up orders. The phone rang a lot too. So, I could tell this was a popular place. I've never been to a sushi place like this before. It was definitely on the non-traditional side. But, that's what made it interesting and fun! What really got me was that they had rolls with chicken and beef in it! That was unheard of to me. I always thought sushi was strictly fish/seafood. I had no idea! But, you learn something new everyday! I didn't want to go too out of my comfort zone when ordering a roll. As, a chicken or beef roll just didn't seem too appealing to me... But, I did want to order something different; something that I've never had before! So, I decided to order the Flamed Salmon roll. This roll was filled with cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, and crab mix. And, the outside had thin slices of salmon with a spicy touch. For the most part, I enjoyed the roll. But, it was something about the rice that I didn't like... Idk if it was overcooked, undercooked, or what. But, the rice was definitely throwing me off. If there wasn't anything wrong with the rice, I definitely would've enjoyed the roll way much more than I did. Aside from the rice, everything in and on the roll was fresh and tasty! I would definitely visit this place again to try a different roll. The service was fast and the customer service was great!

This is a one of a kind establishment. Sushi meets Mexican style. I felt like it was important to include a screenshot of the menu because a lot of rolls come with cream cheese. I am not a big fan of cream cheese on my sushi but it acceptable for some rolls. I ate there and they did give bottles of their spicy mayo, eel sauce and other sauces which is a big plus in my book. The Vegas Roll was delicious. It was made to perfection and met all the criteria for a standard Vegas roll. It was my favorite far and away. The Salmoncito and Pochan Roll were average at best. There was far more rice in the roll than there should be. It was nicely prepared with lots of sauce and topped with salmon. However, both were loaded with cream cheese. I was not a fan of these rolls. The Perecheron Roll was their best selling roll. I had to order it because it just sounded very unique. It was made with Carne, Chicken, Bacon, and melted cheese on top that is deep fried. While it wasn't my favorite I recommend ordering it when you're there because it is their staple. I will not be going back here but it is a fine establishment. The service is quick, the prices are great for what you get.

Love this sushi! And their 3x2 on Tuesday's LOL They have a good place , fast service . The team are so efficient!

Please do not go here. This is not real sushi. It is nasty. The rice is regular rice not seasoned on top of that. They don't serve wasabi and ginger for the sides. They give you only spicy mayo and peanut sauce. I should've took a hint when I seen that Taco truck in front of them was doing better business than them would not recommend overpriced. I asked for eight count and got a 12 count for a regular cali role in hot Cheetos sushi. It came out to 36.01

    Dinamita Roll
    Valerie C.

I ordered food for delivery, and it was about a 40 minute wait (so order when you aren't hungry yet). The only thing on the menu that seemed super appealing to me was the Dinamita Roll, since I am a fan of shrimp tempura topped with a savory sauce. It did not disappoint! As a result, I will probably order the same roll every time I want to eat sushi from here. There are two sauces on the side that seem to be included in every roll, but I am not a fan of them. Overall pretty good, but I am only basing this off a very specific sushi roll.

I really won't order food from this place again! The shrimp that came inside my sushi roll came with a shell! At first I thought "okay, maybe it was a mistake" and I kept throwing away those "mistakes" but it was really very unpleasant. I couldn't even enjoy the food. There were approximately 6 rolls that the shrimp had in the shell. I was only able to rescue and take a photo of the last roll. I don't recommend this place at all! What type of hygiene and care will they have in this kitchen?

Upon arrival, the place doesn't look like anything special. It's inside a strip mall, and looks mediocre. However, do not judge too soon. Once you get inside, everything is well laid out & it's very nice. It was busy when we went in on a Friday night, BUT we got seated quicker than estimated- which is always a win! I was not happy with where we were seated, as it was facing the wall in the small bar area. We are people watchers by nature, so it's always fun to be in a spot where we can look around the room effortlessly. However, it wasn't the end of the world and I certainly didn't want to wait any longer, the food looked wonderful & I was starving! I do not remember exactly which rolls we got, but... all of them were EXCELLENT!! Everything was undoubtedly fresh, and made with quality ingredients. I thought the black rice was really neat! I've never seen that before. The waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. It took no time at all to get our orders out, which was impressive considering that the place was packed near capacity! As we left, all of the sushi pros behind the glass thanked us for coming in and wished us a great rest of our evening. I thought that was very kind. It's not very often that you find a whole line of people stopping what they are doing to wish you well on your way out of their establishment. All in all, 10/10 experience! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Sushi!

Definitely a vibe for anime lovers! Food-wise, we started with the gyoza and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked and even better dipped in the ponzu sauce! We also tried the sushi flight, which was a great way to sample a few different flavors. Overall, I really enjoyed it, although the eel was probably my least favorite of the flight just personal preference. The crispy tuna rice was easily the star of the meal! Crispy, flavorful, and the textures worked so well together. I would 100% order that again. The ramen, however, was just okay for me. It wasn't bad or inedible, but the broth was lacking that rich, deep flavor I look for in a good bowl of ramen. A little more depth and seasoning would really take it to the next level. The service was honestly one of the highlights. Our waiter was super friendly, cool, and attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The great service, fun atmosphere, and crispy tuna rice are enough for me to give Full Moon Izakaya another try. Next time, I'll be exploring more of the menu!

We shifted gears and went next door to Sake Haus, and I'm so glad we did! Everything was spectacular! First of all--BEST edamame I've ever had! That tallow really adds a richness! And the gyoza had just the right amount of kick to them. We had both the hamachi crudo and the halibut crudo. They were both delicious, but the hamachi was the standout. Hamachi is usually a little too fishy for me, but this just melted in my mouth and left me wanting more. We also had one of the specials, the 808 roll. It was topped with poke, and we would not let them take the plate until we'd scooped up every little morsel! Cocktails and service were excellent as well. The service- pretty poor. I was sat in the bar at the back but I basically sat there for a good 5 minutes and nothing. Never got my water refilled, had to flag them down to put in more food, that sorta thing. The vibes- thought the bar was pretty lit and is prob pretty fun during HH. The food- overpriced for what you get and portion size while the fish and flavors being a smidge above average. I left still hungry after getting the gold omakase, bad and buri roll, and hamachi crudo. The hamachi was the best part of the meal but I'd still expect at least 5 pieces for the price. Anyways, this spot will hit the spot if you have a sushi craving. I can't vouch for the drinks but I assume it more than checks the box in that regard judging by the menu, selection, and vibe.
