We were in and about Costa Mesa stopped by Tokyo Central, what a cool place. We were all starving and tearing Yelp apart, to stay the pains. Discovered Sushi Teri and are we glad we did. Tempura Udon was scalding hot the way it should be another plus was it was really good. I had a Cal roll with it and although it was not from the best Sushi bar in SoCal I was more than happy with it. My wife had the chicken Tempura Combo, she also loved it. I'm not understanding the reviews about small portions. We could barley finish what we ordered. We can't wait for our next trip down the mountain for another lunch here. I wanted takoyaki for a while, but had a hard time finding a good place to satisfy my craving. Their takoyaki did the trick. I wasn't able to get it from Marukai down the street. I never tried it there and the stand wasn't out. This was a good substitute. I wish they were bigger and had more octopus in it, but these were quite tasty. read more

They have good fresh sushi. The rolls are less expensive but they are also notably smaller so the price probably works out to be the same as other places. The owner gets very worried when you bring children and they sit in their own seat. read more

I definitely recommend this spot, it is affordable and they have some very fresh tasting delicious sushi. I ordered the Caterpillar Roll and an Eel roll, which the owner made fresh right there on the spot. I also ordered a California roll and a Burrito roll, I was really impressed so much so that I ordered another Eel roll and Burrito roll. The udon soup here is also the best I've ever had, especially the Curry Udon. The owners here are very friendly too. I judge hand rolls by how crisp or snappy the seaweed is. The seaweed on my hand roll was so chewy my teeth couldn't puncture it, resulting in the insides falling out the back of the roll. I have been to Sushi Teri a lot! It's a small mom and pop joint, which I have a soft spot for since my parents do the same thing. You cannot go wrong with their food. It's pretty standard, delicious sushi. The only bad thing might be that their portions tend to lean on the smaller side. The place is also very small so most people do takeout. read more

We had ordered party platters and it was a round tray of a couple inches of steamed rice sprinkled with cabbage and decorated with random strips of chicken and beef! And a couple styrofoam containers of gyoza and edamame that supposedly would feed 25-30 people.
