Okay so, though my husband may have ruined me w/ Shin-Sen-Gumi in LA (all locations)... we both agree that had we never known about LA Ramen, we definitely believe that Craft Ramen in SB would have and continues to be very delicious. The Ramen is super yummy, broth is solid and the pork belly buns are delicious! Service is great, ambience has a cool hip sidewalk cafe/patio ambient vibe. Definitely recommend and will be back again!

Solid ramen spot! The broth was rich and the pork belly was tender and flavorful! The noodles were thicker and chewier than a typical ramen noodle but I liked them. Service was quick, and it's a casual spot good for lunch!

It was such disappointing ramen. I have been here a few times and first time severely disappointed. The noodles were bloated and soggy and drank up most of the broth. The ramen did not have the same umami it used it. It feels watered down. The addictive savory mouthfeel is not there. I keep drinking the broth hoping I'm mistaken but it certainly needs more salt or something. They seem to try to compensate with over piling with toppings, but the serving size was too much as well. I couldn't bring myself to finish jt.

We visited Craft ramen after a few years, the flavor has improved, tasty broth and large bowls we enjoyed it and will be back Service is great, we were there on a rainy weekend, and it was busy, The patio is dog friendly Good atmosphere, casual setting

Stopped by this ramen shop on a Saturday in Paseo Nuevo in SB and it was so good! It was chilly outside after walking around and spending some time at the farmers market so ramen was what sounded great for lunch. There's outdoor seating only but plenty of heaters to stay warm. We ordered the following: - shoyu ramen with pork shoulder -- so good; light broth but flavorful; loved the texture of noodles; came with bamboo shoots, spinach and green onions and a soft boiled egg. - original tonkotsu ramen with pork shoulder -- soup flavor was so good; had cabbage and green onions and soft boiled egg; pork shoulder is super tender - California roll -- pretty standard; rice was a little stickier than my preference but still fresh; generous with their wasabi and ginger when we asked for me Friendly staff and fast service! Will definitely come again

Amazing! The takoyaki was the perfect texture and taste. The karrage was moist and tender with a great flavor and the dipping sauces were really flavorful. The hamachi jalepeno dish is so fresh and the flavor profile is delicious. The ramen was incredible. Big portions of meat, great broth and very filling. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. Loved it all!

First pitstop in Santa Barbara. We sat in the outside patio area which I have to say smelled like dog pee from its proximity to the street. Very unfortunate first impression. The food was actually not bad. The broth was very rich and creamy, and the noodles were pretty good. However, the pork belly was way too fatty. It was just a giant piece of lard and I couldn't really eat it... made me feel a little sick. But the pork shoulder that my husband got wasn't that much better tasting, so honestly wasn't impressed with the meat. The broth was probably the best part. California roll was OK. Nothing special. This place is great for a quick Ramen fix in the area, but I wouldn't write home about it.

Perfectly located near downtown, this made for a quick dinner near our hotel. For a Wednesday night, the restaurant was fairly full but we caught the end of the dinner rush so the place quickly mellowed out. Restaurant has heaters for the chilly evenings. Food came out quick and staff was very friendly. Ordered the vegan karaage which I believe was made out of seitan due to texture. The outside was perfectly crisp but it tasted more like a vegan nugget to me. Still tasty. I opted for the veggie ramen which has some odd toppings not gonna lie (dried cranberries and brussel sprouts) but the flavors merged so well and the milky base wasn't super thick as some can be. I added some chili sauce and it was the perfect balance. I would definitely order this again.

Food was mid, service was really bad, ambiance was okay. We sat at the table at the end near the street at 7pm, we were seated after 5 min of waiting. Two other parties had their propane tank heating lamps fired up, waiters didn't ask or offer. Order was taken 10 minutes within sitting down. We got 3 sushi rolls and 1 takoyaki. My partner enjoyed the takoyaki and I agree that it was a great value for $8 and flavorful as well. The shrimp roll was very ricey and not worth $10. The Haley Street roll was good and looked delicious as well. The Crunchy Roll was his favorite. The ramen was okay. It comes with spinach, bamboo, nori and some green onions, you have to order the egg on the side for an extra ~$3, bringing the total to $22ish. It wasn't amazing, very salty and the waiters didn't offer to refill our water in the hour, I had to go up to request. Overall, it cost about $80ish after TT. Wouldn't come here again but it definitely has the ramen monopoly in the area.

Tried their poke bowl with salmon for the first time last night--(usually at a ramen place I stick to the ramen). Glad I did! Salmon super fresh--vinegar and sesame flavor already added, with white rice and mixed greens. I requested wasabi and ginger on the side, added a splash of soy sauce, and that just made all the flavors pop. This place is reliably good for quick service and yummy food.

Came to this Ramen place but should not have. Its whatever and pricy, noodles not cooked properly.... I had the vegan/vegetarian plus added an egg which was more cooked than the rest. My husband, brother in law and sister in law got the one with the pork and noodles were hard and not cooked properly so they sent it back and took forever to come back. We had ordered the edamame which was probably the best there and we ordered another one and asked for less spicy for the kids, all they did seems like they added water to it which we didnt even eat. so waste money for something we didnt eat. had kids food, and it was rice with chicken. kids could not even eat it. Will not return and do not recommend.

Delicious ramen in SB. The yuzu shoyu broth was so good. I thought the yuzu would be subtle but it was stronger than I thought but was good. My first time having yuzu in my ramen. The noodles were chewy and didn't taste like packaged ramen. The best part was def the thick cut of pork belly! Was a bummer that the egg was not included. For a ramen place that should be a must. Service was good and loved the seating space and al the heaters.

Came here late on a weeknight and it hit the spot. The shishito peppers were delightful and ramen was great as well. Packed with flavorful broth, the noodles were just right and overall pretty tasty. Service was fast as they were about to close within the hour however they were very nice and made great suggestions. It's in a great location to even just get some drinks and apps to start your night and can finish at one of the many bars located next door.

They offer Thai dishes including noodle bowls, small plates, and handmade dumplings. We got the Northern Thailand Curry Noodles "Khao Soi" and the Tom Yum Noodles. The Khao Soi had egg noodles and chicken in a curry base broth with coconut milk, fish sauce, pickled mustard greens, cilantro, green onions, and housemade chili oil. They also give you crispy egg noodles to put on top. I appreciated that they wrapped this separately in foil, so they didn't get soggy right away! The chicken pieces were quite large, but overall the broth was tasty! I enjoyed the Tom Yum Noodles! For these, they use flat wheat noodles with Thai chili paste, bunashimeji mushrooms, white button mushrooms, fish sauce, red jalapeño, galangal herb, makrut lime leaves, lemongrass, cherry tomatoes, and cilantro. I chose chicken for my protein. The tom yum flavor really came through! They also give a pretty big portion! Since they are located in a food hall, you can sit at any of the tables. Empty Bowl will give you a pager, so you know when to return to the counter to pick up your food.
