The miso soup and mini teryaki chicken had great flavor. The teryaki sauce was just the right amount of sweet and the chicken was slightly crispy and hot. The miso soup was refreshing and had a small amount of seaweed. The sashimi was disappointing. I don't like wasabi but when I opened the box, a few of the pieces were covered in wasabi. Would be beneficial if they were separate. The salmon and tuna tasted fine but the yellowtail was slightly chewy and I couldn't finish it. Overall, I would come back but I would not get sashimi again.

I wish I could give them 4 stars but I just can't. We came on a Monday for lunch and there was four of us. There were two other parties in the restaurant. Our waitress took awhile to come over and grab our drink orders. She honestly didn't seem to care very much, which was unfortunate. I liked that they had their tasty plates where you can try three different rolls (all smaller portions) for the price of one roll. I tried the Jalapeno, Vegas, and Sakura. We started with the pot stickers as well. They were actually quite nice. Crispy on the outside and hot! The sushi took at least 40 minutes. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and they had two sushi chefs. The amount of salmon, tuna, and crab in my rolls were basically nonexistent. The Vegas roll wasn't even warm when it came out. The Sakura was the best roll but I would give it a 6/10. The service was just so slow and our waitress didn't seem to care about us. Unfortunately, I don't think I would be back anytime soon or recommend them unless they made some improvements to the food and the service. Not a quick bite like other sushi spots.

Sushi was incredible. Staff was awesome and attentive and it has a cool little vibe to the place. King Tut roll was my favorite and the mango dessert roll is a must!

Chicken bento box - twice the size of a normal bento box and delicious.

The food and service was outstanding. Portions were generous. Prices were good. My husband had the bento box and couldn't eat it all even though everything was delicious. The miso soup was so good, I ordered my own. We would drive from Sandy to come here again. The location is deceiving, as it looks like it will be tiny but it is not. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable.

Favorite Sushi spot! Great service with every visit, and delicious food! Tried the speciality roll, the Fire Dragon and it was appealing to the eye and yummy to the tummy(:. I always get the Philly Crunch Roll and it each time I'm happier than before! We love this place and love to support!

I keep coming back to this place for the delicious Elvis and happy roll. Absolutely incredible. The prices are very affordable too. I would give them 5 stars in a heartbeat if the service was better. They had 1 waitress for about 8 filled tables. It took about 20 mins before someone welcomed us at our table.

The sushi I ordered were good but not the dragon rolls, their katsu comes with rice but not as good as other places. Their gyozas were good and their lunch box was a big portion. The good thing about their sushi is they have 3 item combo so you can choose 3 sushi in one meal.

I visited this place with my wife today as a good memory since I visited in the past. There was a new menu called sushiup meal, so we ordered it. It was really nice to be able to eat fresh fish, sushi, and my favorite selection menu. It was also nice that the owner explained the menu himself. The staff were all friendly too. The most grateful thing is that my wife was not feeling well and could not eat well, but the boss made the soup himself. best

I was pleasantly surprised by inside decor of this place and the seating. The server was really nice and patient with us as well. She even smiled as well. The inside was also great for a date setting and is quite enough you can have a conversation and actually hear what's being said. The sushi was pretty good and a fairly decent amount per roll. The price wasn't too bad either. They were also pretty fast at making it but that could have been because it was less busy when we went. Overall, I would recommend going here as an option for sushi.

My buddy and I came here for the first time and it was just average tasting sushi. Our server that was on the ball no longer waited on us and we had someone else that didn't understand my broken English. Price was kinda high for the quality we received. Don't think I will be back.

So, I love sushi and eat it often as I can. Although, I've never been to a really expensive place and honestly only had supermarket sushi until I came here. (Since then I have been to more sushi restaraunts) This place was awesome. I've eaten there twice now. We got the 3 rolls for $10 deal. I think it's a great price. The more complicated rolls came with less pieces of course, but on the flip side I was surprised with how big some of the rolls were too. Between the 3 of us we ordered 6 rolls and barely finished everything because we were so full. There is a very wide variety of choices with so many options. read more

The best deal is that you get 3 sushi rolls at a time with less than $10. The point is not entirely on the budget price, but it satisfies me when I can taste 3 different items. The owner is Korean, try the Korean dishes on the last page, you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm not a fan of this place. We had a hair in our soup, the fish is chewy and they are stingy with the sauces when you when you order take out. They only gave me two packets of soy sauce and when I asked for more they acted annoyed. They also didn't even put ginger in our box. Disappointed:/ read more

Sushi Up was a pleasant surprise to find in Orem. It has a really friendly atmosphere and friendly staff too. Everything on the menu is proceed the same pretty much, so you don't have to worry about paying different amounts for different rolls. The sushi itself tastes nice as well, fresh, flavorful, with some pretty creative rolls on the menu. The tempura here was fairly decent as well. The only negative thing I can say is that Sushi Up does not have a large variety of fish in their rolls. Most of them are salmon, shrimp or imitation crab. They had a few with tuna and squid as well, but I didn't see much else. read more

It's a great little hole-in-the-wall establishment. I had the beef udon and adored it! It's a great deal for a big bowl! I have yet to try the sushi, but the ambiance is great and the staff is friendly. Go there if you want an authentic meal during lunch or dinner! read more

For sushi, there is nowhere better for the price. The quality of fish is great, the restaurant/bathrooms are clean, and you'll get sushi, drinks, and soup for two for under $30. Sure there are better sushi joints, but I'd rather not spend my whole paycheck on one night out. As a young family, we think the way this place is, is perfect! read more

I ordered the meal deal where you pick three. It was a to go order. Next time I'll eat in. Fantastic atmosphere. All sushi was excellent and great size. Fresh fish and great flavor. I will be back and highly recommend trying it. They also offer boba drinks. read more

Amazing tasting sushi! 3 items for $10 is the name of their game. Loving sushi myself, i have tried many places in the Orem/Provo area and this place is top 2 for sushi taste. Keeping in mind that im paying $10 for 3 rolls that are kinda small i am still filled after my visit. If you are a person who is looking to pound down some serious chow i might look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a casual place to sit and enjoy a moderate meal of sushi this is a place to throw into the mixer. The quality and taste of this sushi makes up for the length of the rolls. The quality of the space is also very good. Clean tables and good environment come along with the meal. Great service as well. If you are looking to try something new, give this a try! I recommend the hollywood, happy, and dragon rolls! read more

sooo good. their prices are very reasonable and their quality is top notch. i am very impressed at the service and the flavor of each roll. sometimes rolls can begin to blend after a while but theirs doesn't! i will definitely come back just for the spicy calamari roll and the dragon roll! thanks sushi up! read more

Not sure why this sushi restaurant has a 5 star rating. Sushi is low quality doesn't taste fresh. Every roll had a mushy texture, and our crunchy roll had stale cereal on it. Sushi was very mediocre to bad. read more

I travel for work and Sushi Up was right next to my hotel. This is a great little sushi spot. Fast, friendly, family owned and really really good. The 3 items for $9.99 is awesome because you get to try a variety of items for pretty inexpensive. Super yummy and highly recommended. The Happy Roll and Spicy Mango were my favorites. read more

I love this place, the fact that it has affordable sushi AND great quality sushi is unbeatable. Staff is always nice and authentic it seems like a cute family business. We ordered the mango boba smoothies w/ mango popping pearls and they were delicious (I usually don't like boba) We will definitely coming back and I'm not sure I would go to any other sushi restaurant. read more

This is my favorite sushi place of all time. The rolls are amazing (fried rolls are some of the best!) Spicy Mango, potato roll, rainbow roll, Orem roll, all DELICIOUS! And you can get 3 rolls for only $10!! Most places are poor quality and still about $8 for one roll! You will not be disappointed if you go! Also the specialty rolls are incredible! Good, not too fussy sushi place. Lunch deal is a good value, and comes with three rolls from a large menu. Has good rolls for people who are not excited about sushi too. Try not to get too many with the mayo sauce though. It is good, but in moderation. read more

For food, the calmari frita it was called but it was squid, some kind of white fish, shrimp along with fried, thinly sliced red onion, bell pepper and jalapeño. GET THIS, one of the best things of the night! When you do get it, make sure you get bites of the chopped veggie mixture that's buried under all the fried goodness, thank me later. Main course, we got the Parillada de Buenos Aires, this is where the issues start, our waiter said we were able to sub out a couple of the items on platter as tripe and sweetbreads (the glands of a veal if you weren't aware) are not things we enjoy. So we swapped them out for a chicken milenesa and a grilled chicken breast. It also came with 1 each of the sides that were pretty basic, and honestly lacked flavor in comparison (rice, potato salad, house salad, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies). Then the meats it comes with, a half chicken, a 12 oz skirt steak, 4 short ribs, some other grilled cut of meat (menu doesn't specify what kind) and a variety of sausages. The waiter, through super nice, totally messed up the substitutions. He brought them out but from the time ordered to the time we ate was about an hour, and for the correct food to come out took even longer. The food itself was pretty good, meats had great flavor and the milenesa when it came out was hot and juicy. The meats didn't need any dipping sauce because they were that well seasoned. Dessert we had the lemon "cheesecake" which was just a lemon cake with a cream cheese type frosting, not at all what you think of with a cheesecake.
