The chemicals saturated the air -- making it hard to breathe. Such a strong scent. I've never experienced anything like that before. I had to leave after a minute. Thank goodness that a few blocks down I found Nailspree. No heavy scent. Appeared to be neat. The customers in the store looked happy/satisfied. I could communicate with one of the techs. She spoke English decently. The others seemed to barely speak English. If you're willing to be patient about that, this place can work for you. My tech was Joan. She only works on Sunday. She had a sweet demeanor and her work was gentle and meticulous. It was a bit pricier here than the 1st location I checked out but worth it. Overall, still less expensive than Manhattan and NJ. An overall good deal. PRO TIP: Join their free membership/rewards program. Ask them about it. After some visits/$ spent, you'll qualify for a $10 credit to be used towards an upcoming visit.

She didn't even know how to apply wax. She kept on pulling my skin and every time I would tell her it was hurting, she seemed super annoyed and replied back in Chinese. The technician repeatedly focused on the corner of one toenail that appeared completely fine, continuing to poke and cut at the area despite there being no visible issue. She also seemed visibly frustrated throughout the service, sucking her teeth in frustration as she went over this area again and again with the cuticle cutters, which added to the discomfort. Now, 6 days later, I'm experiencing pain and warmth in that toe, which makes me concerned that the excessive cutting has resulted in irritation and may have even caused an ingrown toenail -- not cool, very awkward & disappointing experience. Manicure: The manicure itself was acceptable, but the process felt inconsistent and unstructured. Each hand was treated differently, and tools--specifically the cuticle nipper--were not cleaned during the service, resulting in visible buildup of cuticle cuttings on the tool, which was unpleasant and concerning from a hygiene standpoint. Overall, this experience left me uncomfortable and disappointed, and I wouldn't return.
