Came for their cookies and yes, they are still amazing. I tried the chocolate chip and the snickerdoodles and both are yummy. Soft and chewy with a small crispy crust. My friend told me the cakes here arent too sweet so ill have to check them out next time when i get a birthday cake.

As much as this place was and is hyped up especially by YouTubers, my expectations were a little higher! Therefore, I do think they are particularly overpriced given they don't market for what makes them stand out aside from baking in house, but I will say it was moist and looked very pretty. Also, the two ladies working weren't very welcoming and didn't seem very enthused to be at work. I love how the theme is traditional to old school bakeries. But of course the red velvet cupcake I ordered was over $5 and to be honest as an avid baker myself I believe I've made better red velvet. :( I'd rather spend $6 to get a Nothing Bundt! The only upside is they offer free magnets in the shape of a cake cutter for your refrigerator.

I finally got to try SusieCakes this weekend and I'm happy to report it was worth the wait! I was in Pasadena so I went to this location but it's nice to know that have multiple locations around the city. The Pasadena location was nice and spacious and very clean and cute. They have a nice large parking space in the back as well. I went on a Sunday around 6:30 pm so it was pretty empty, which was nice. I think the bigger crowds are earlier in the day. They close at 7 pm so I just made it. Luckily they still had a few cupcakes left and plenty of the cakes left. I decided to get a slice of their old fashioned chocolate cake, and 4 cupcakes to go. I got a red velvet, a chocolate, a vanilla, and a mocha cupcake. Everything was delicious but I have to say that the old fashioned chocolate cake slice was my favorite. They give you a ginormous piece too which is nice when you have that craving. All the cakes were very moist and the buttercream was sweet but not crazy sweet which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience. I can't wait to come back again and run some of their other cakes and cupcakes!

For those who don't know, SusieCakes offers a free cake slice on your birthday if you make a purchase via their app. I went to get a slice for my wife's upcoming birthday, but the staff explained I needed to make a purchase earlier in the year to redeem the offer. While I was a bit disappointed, I understood. The staff immediately offered a free cupcake, which was incredibly kind and hospitable. I ordered a slice of Chocolate Marble Cake, which was decent, though a little inconsistent - some parts were moist, others dry. My wife loved her strawberry cupcake because it wasn't too sweet. I thought it was okay; I prefer other flavors. I'll definitely try the rich chocolate cake and another flavored cupcake, like coconut, next time. While there's no indoor seating, they kindly suggested we could sit outside at Randy's and Five Guys, as they share the same outdoor space. However, the tables were quite dirty, but it was nice to have a place to sit and enjoy our treats. We will definitely be back!

There's good desserts (cupcakes, cookies, and cake), but when I went today (08/13/26) the lady who helped me and my mom (a lady with short blonde hair) served us and she didn't wear gloves and she served the cupcake like this

Stopped by here on a Friday morning. I've had SusieCakes a few times at other locations where someone else brought cupcakes as part of a celebration. I got a mini red velvet and a regular mocha. The mini red velvet had an almost crispy top and wasn't super moist. I still found it pleasant since it's so small and wasn't expecting it to live up to what a full sized cupcake is like. The cream cheese frosting was perfect. The full sized one was moist and the buttercream frosting was also amazing, but I found it a little overwhelming especially when paired with the white chocolate sprinkles on top. Not a huge deal since you can always wipe some of it off, but it did overpower the cupcake a little. Overall solid cupcakes!

I got this birthday cake and served five hours later after sitting At room temperature. Honestly have nothing positive to say about the cake except the appearance. The cake was dry and just had the texture that it had been sitting for several days in a refrigerator. I could be wrong but I would not get another one of their products. Hugely disappointing and to add that at 63 dollars this comes up short of cakes which cost significantly less. I hope they improve the freshness of their product I think paying customers who can afford a 63 dollar cake would expect better.

I tried the holiday cookies from an event & they we soft & nicely sweetened! I happened to pass by this location & had to try a cake I got a slice of cake for about $8, chocolate marble. It was good but I recommend not putting it in the fridge right away as it made it more tough but when it came to room temperature, the cake was a nice texture Need to come back to try more

I don't come here nearly often enough which is probably a good thing cause I'd gain so much weight. Cakes are classic. You can get slices or cupcakes. They even have cookies. I got several different flavors on this occasion to try. My fav was the lemon. It had a nice tart flavor. I could have done without the sugar sprinkles cause it was sweet enough with just the frosting. Candy cane chocolate was seasonal. Peppermint and chocolate flavored which probably sounded better than it tasted. It was ok but not special enough. Carrot cake had slivers of zucchini I think. It was good and my son's favorite. My daughter liked the red velvet but I didn't think it was anything special. I got my husband the traditional chocolate which he said was ok. Slices were large enough to share or for two servings.

I ordered SusieCakes through the Too Good To Go app for $6.99, which is supposed to be a bag valued at at least $20. I've seen people get huge hauls from other SusieCakes locations, so I was curious to try this one. This location was decent -- I got 4 cupcakes and a cookie, which isn't bad for the price. The cupcakes were tasty, though I wasn't completely sure what each flavor was. I think I got a lemon cupcake, a flourless chocolate, a regular chocolate, and a peanut butter cupcake, plus a snickerdoodle cookie. Everything was sweet and enjoyable. Not sure if I'd get the Too Good To Go bag from this location again, but overall it was a good experience, and the service was friendly.

Really cute bakery with a nice selection. My young nephew enjoyed the view of the kitchen after he picked his treats. Reasonably priced for the area.

Susie's cakes at 264 S. Lake Ave. in Pasadena was a delightful surprise in our first time visit. They have many cakes on display which you could buy by the slice or buy whole cake and they're ready to go. They had a variety of cupcakes as well as holiday themed sugar, cookies that are iced. We got two slices of cake the carrot cake, which was unbelievable and the chocolate chip banana cake that was out of this world. I'm not a sweets person, but I ended up eating the whole slice. The portions are generous. The staff are friendly polite in our point so you're In-N-Out in a flash. Will definitely be going back to Susie's cakes in Pasadena for more delicious treats.

The berry danish was cleared out at the front glass but I asked if they had more coming in the back and luckily they did. The other two were ordered from the glass displays. I wouldn't say they're the best croissants I've ever had, but they were still pretty good. Only thing with the ham and cheese croissant was that I cut it in half the short way to share (so you would think both halves would have an even distribution of everything) but all the ham was pushed to one side that their half literally had no ham in it. There were a lot of other things on display that looked really good so when I venture out to this part of town I'll have to come back and give those a try. I definitely recommend coming in early because a lot of things in the front displays were cleared out by the time we got to the front. They do keep making more but it's not a guarantee.

We were done about an hour before our reservation time. We hoped to be accommodated earlier but saw the long line and crowd waiting as we drove by. We decided to run a couple small errands instead. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. It was still busy, but there were not as many people waiting. The hostess was so warm and welcoming. She let us know that the customers at our designated table were almost done and that they will have it ready in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, those customers decided to linger much longer. Thirty minutes later, they were still hanging around. We fully understood that this was not by any fault of the restaurant. We continued to wait patiently. The hostess was very apologetic and was trying to work out a solution which led to the Floor Manager (Karla) getting involved. We were eventually seated at another table, with the option to move should the other table become available. Karla then took the time to apologize for the wait and unfortunate first impression. As we got started with drinks and a pastry for the daughter, the other table opened. The hostess immediately came to move us. It all went smoothly from there. Table service was casual and attentive. We started with the Chocolate Almond Croissant and the Baguette & Bordier Butter. The daughter tried the Iced Matcha Latte. For our entrées -- Shakshuka, Patty Melt and Brioche Eggs Benedict (with salmon). I was eager to try the Potato Gravlax, but it was sold out. :( Everything was so, so delicious! Fresh and flavorful. Lovely presentations. Very good portions. As we were finishing, Karla came to our table again to express her gratitude for our patience and understanding. She gave me her business card with an offer to contact her directly should we need another reservation. On our way out, I stopped to compliment the sweet young hostess for a job well done. Wonderful experience. Beautiful decor. I would give Oh La La 10 stars if I could! We will most certainly be back!

We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

It makes me feel like the food is less likely to be contaminated by people getting close to it or breathing/talking over it like at other coffee shops or bakeries. Everything is out by the window so if customers came inside I could see it being an issue. Would be great to take it to a nearby park and have a picnic.

The pastries and bread here are really great. I think that in some other reviews, it's possible…read moresome people didn't realize they were getting a more dense rye or wheat loaf. Every bread i've had here is insanely delicious and perfect. The walnut whole grain sourdough is probably the best bread i've ever had in my life. The sandwich/food menu is pricey, but everything is in 2026--I think we're just not used to it yet. They have a line every morning and sell out every day for a reason.
