After a few questions I received a call from Dr De Leon who was the most compassionate and caring doctor I have come across. He sensed my immediate need, came straight out to the house, assessed my mother and went himself to the pharmacy to pick up the needed medications. He knew the urgency and took it upon himself to do all the footwork. He obtained the needed comfort medication, stabilized my mother and allowed my mother to pass peacefully all within a matter of hours from making that initial call. When she did pass that evening, he again, arranged for everything from the pronouncing to the calls according to the pre-arrangements. Without MD Choice and the connection with Dr De Leon, I don't know how I would have been able to handle the situation. His immediate response on a Sunday, his Taking control of the situation and quick actions made such a difference in the final few hours my mother had. If you find yourself in a situation like this and needing someone to help in this time, I highly recommend MD Choice and Dr De Leon. I am forever grateful to MD Choice and Dr De Leon for acting so quickly and with such caring and love in this terrible time of need. They only said there is no one to send. My sister finally told them she needs help and she will call 911. They told her she is not to do that. My sister didn't have a choice and called 911. My mother was on the commode at the time when they arrived. They hooked her up to a heart monitor. She evidently passed on the commode. My sister called vitas back and said she passed. They told her they will send a social worker. My sister said no not to do it. After afew hours vitas called wanting to pick up their bed. We said my mom was still.in the bed. We were waiting for the mortuary to pick her up. Afew days later vitas sent the nurse and aide to our house to take care of my mom. Apparently they were not told about her passing.

They provided transportation to his son's resident in Contra Costa County. When they arrived, the equipment needed had already been delivered. They assigned nurses to come daily, including a Chaplin and 24/7 hotline. After services were no longer required, they sent cards with their condolences as well as literature on their "The Grief Cafe" bereavement support. I highly recommend Suncrest Hospice for home care.

Then the errors on the company side are them sending people that are not qualified for the job and do not even meet the expectations of the contract you signed for. Those are managerial issues, not the faults of the caregivers. Problem is, the turn overs, companies do not see these caregivers for long. This is not a career but an entry level job for most of them. This is an industry problem though. And if you are paying for a service rather than hiring your own, you are paying for their payroll, staffing, bonding and insurance.

Every single caregiver was on time, friendly, and helpful in every possible way. We felt safe, cared for and supported in healing. The overnight caregivers allowed me to sleep and helped my husband with medications, bathroom needs and making sure he was safely in bed whenever he got up, or moved around. He didn't realize his legs would simply give out under him. Hence the wheelchair now. It seems like spite investigating my sister and it's causing stress for my father. The whole thing could have been prevented but she seems to want to have a p----ing match with my sister. So unprofessional So now my dad is trying to find another option through his primary physician. Not what he needs to be doing. He should be peacefully resting right now! They can't just offer peaceful resolutions?? So disappointing The nurses are wonderful. But Ernestine has been hassling my sister from the beginning. About 6 weeks ago.
