This is hands down one of my favorite meals of the year (yes, I do keep track because food is that important to me). For the price, the flavors were beyond what I expected. The mix of Japanese with Peruvian flavors was jaw dropping. We had 4 dishes and we loved each of them (and this is rare!). The salmon poke with the typical Peruvian sauce was stunning. The ceviche was our favorite bite. How do I even describe it?! It was some of the best Peruvian ceviche we've had and we are from Southern California and they have some pretty good Peruvian restaurants (not the best but good enough). The salmon heaven roll had a lovely smokiness or char flavor from torching the salmon. It paired well with the light sweetness of the miso sauce. Our only complaint was the spicy tuna roll had too much spicy mayo. We aren't huge Mayo fans but we know this isn't typical. People usually love the mayo sauces on sushi but we don't. It definitely was spicy unlike some places that say spicy but you can't even feel the heat. It's a super casual vibe so it feels like home becuase you can come right after the beach and feel right at home. Our server was super nice and friendly. After a stressful day navigating the streets of Miami with numerous road closures, I needed some good food and drink! I was happy to go to this Suviche location since it was new to me. I ahf been to others and loves the food. My server was nice and cheery. I ordered several items off happy hour. Actually everything was on Happy Hour except the Miami roll. The Miami roll was the best item I ate. It had delicious flavor. Just perfect and fresh. The ceviche did not have a ton of time juice on it even though I asked for extra originally. My server did not come around too much because she had a pot of tables. The tuna tacos were disappointing. The fish did not seem fresh. This also seems overpriced at $10 on Happy Hour for these two tacos. The margarita I had was pretty good. The Spacedust beer was tasty. I do think this restaurant is a great value at Happy Hour. Stopped by this restaurant on my way out of Miami. The reviews were good, so I had high hopes. Reviews in a touristy area can be tricky and this place was one that had misleading reviews. The concept is cool but the food was not executed well. The flavors of each dish were missing something. If it wasn't spice, it was salt. The salmon tiradito was odd. The sauce looked like it had been there for a while and it was flavorless. The red hot sauce(not siracha) was bland, it was pepper with nothing added, the ceviche lacked lime and salt, and the Peruvian fried rice was lack luster. I wouldn't recommend this place for anything other than sushi roll. The roll I ordered was tasty but it's not worth it to come here for that when there are other sushi places around. The inside wasn't too inviting either. They let dogs in the restaurant which was odd to me, and they used a few tables in the front for storage and as office space. I was not a fan on this place. Absolutely love coming for SuViche's suuuuper reasonably priced happy hour (food and drinks!). I also very much appreciate that they are never stingy with it (some places will sneakily be like oh sorry! You're 2 minutes past 7 and didn't put in your order). They will let you know to keep an eye on the time and generally do a quick sweep right before it's over at 7. Their ceviche is super classic and delicious, lots of flavor and always tastes fresh. Their tuna nachos are SO good..also fresh with a slight sweetness from the Eel sauce. I got the spicy tuna roll and didn't love...it was a little..soggy? Felt a little like grocery store sushi. But I've had other rolls in the past and really enjoyed, so worth trying if you're not picky! We got the mushroom ceviche once and it was AMAZING, but they seemed to have changed the recipe or preparation and now it seems to just be ceviche with mushrooms in the place of the fish (it used to be chopped up super small and already doused in all the sauces). I definitely preferred it before! The staff is super nice and attentive. Their outdoor seating isn't great because the sidewalk is narrow and the street can get busy with the trolley passing. I will call out one thing I didn't like, that wasn't intentional, but it still made me question their practices. They brought us the wrong plate and we started to pick at it, unsure if it was what we had gotten, and the waitress ran back over and said it wasn't ours. We were like oh no! Sorry we took a bite (I grabbed a plantain off the dish and my friend grabbed one of the corn pieces). She took it back to where they put the plates for them to take to tables and the other waitress grabbed it and took it to a new table...didn't love that. They should have made them a new one and either let us keep it if we wanted it or tossed the original. The good news is you can see the kitchen and where they grab the plates from, so you can keep an eye to know that it won't happen to you! I think it was in the confusion of the moment, but I still wish they had a little more care. read more

This is one of my top favorite spots on South Beach for having lunch. The restaurant's concept is mainly focused on a variety of Peruvian ceviches and Japanese sushi rolls. Besides that, the menu also offers a good selection of starters, poke bowls, and traditional Peruvian mains. Right away, I want to mention that all the fish here is always extremely fresh and flavorful! I personally come to this restaurant mainly for the ceviches and sushi rolls. A great thing about these dishes is that almost all of them are available in two portion sizes - half or full. What I usually do is order a half portion of ceviche and a half portion (4 pieces) of sushi rolls, which go perfectly together and fill me up completely. My absolute favorite ceviche was the Mahi Mahi Mexicano (I just asked to remove the avocado) - the flavor was fantastic for me, so refreshing! Unfortunately, a few months ago the restaurant decided to remove it (along with making other changes to the menu), which is such a shame because it was really delicious. Hopefully, they bring the Mexicano back in the future. I also like the Original Mahi Mahi ceviche, which is very tasty too and definitely worth ordering. I've tried almost all of the sushi rolls on the menu, and every single one of them was super flavorful and delicious. But my absolute favorites are the Miami, Truffle, and TNT rolls - amazing flavors! The restaurant itself isn't very big; often during lunch hours it's fully packed - a couple of times I even had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. I like the restaurant's design - simple but pretty. The entire place is always spotless, and all the furniture and tableware are in very good condition. The restaurant also offers a few outdoor two-person tables. The staff here are always nice and friendly. The kitchen team always did a quick job preparing food - even when the place was packed, my dishes arrived within 15 minutes. The prices on the menu are on the higher side, but mostly reasonable. A little trick: if you order a half portion of ceviche and a half portion of sushi rolls, your check is around $20, and it's the perfect amount of food to get full while enjoying two different dishes. Otherwise, a full ceviche is $18 (not that much bigger than a half), and a single sushi roll can cost around $18 as well. The business accepts all major credit cards and Apple Pay, which is a plus. What I don't like is that an 18% tip is automatically added to the bill. I find this practice wrong and kind of scammy around Miami. In conclusion, I highly recommend visiting SuViche if you're looking for a place to eat on South Beach. Trust me, your meal here will be fresh, healthy, and delicious! read more

I recently tried the Arroz Chaufa Chicken Special, the Miami Roll and the Alfajors from Suviche, a casual Peruvian-Japanese cuisine restaurant in South Beach. The Arroz Chaufa Chicken is a fried rice with all-natural chicken, hoisin, oyster sauce, soy sauce, egg, bell pepper, onions and scallions. It's very tasty. Friend recommended this suviche, and I'm glad I said yes. The location is easy to get to. You can find street parking or park in a nearby garage, which is what we did and walk a little. The service was quick, and staff friendly. We ordered the ceviche and it was delicious though unexpectedly didn't have the same ingredients as the last time though it was the same dish we didn't mind, the flavor was the same but some of the veggies and toppings were different. Fantastic Peruvian fusion cuisine at great prices! This was the first restaurant my family and I tried when they helped me move to Miami Beach a few months ago, and I'm glad it was. It's not as flashy as some of the other Miami touristy spots but the food is delicious, made to order with a lot of care and great presentation, and at very reasonable prices for Miami Beach. Came back recently and it was just as good as I remember, we were also able to try the happy hour deals (3-7pm every day!) which have a nice assortment of offerings including a happy hour size ceviche, crispy rice, a few rolls, and other appetizers. The arroz chaufa, lomo saltado, and tallarin saltado (stirfried noodles) all have an amazing smoky wok flavor, and the beef comes in big tender juicy chunks. The ceviche is fresh with just the right amount of acidity and great portions. The crispy rice we got on my second visit was perfectly crispy with a bit of the soft sushi rice interior, with a good heap of salmon, and a light eel sauce and a creamy mayo-like sauce that pair perfectly with it. No matter what you get, I'm sure you wont' be disappointed, and the generous happy hour offerings are just the icing on the cake! read more

This Peruvian-Japanese establishment offers a Happy Hour menu during the weekdays and is on a smaller street off the main drag. Our favorite was the Crispy Rice roll topped with spicy salmon. When we went to order another they were out of salmon but willing to substitute with tuna. That's 5-star service right there!
