I thoroughly enjoy the food, ambiance, and service of Suzukis - keep visiting for special occasions several times a year. All of the sushi is fresh and locally caught which I appreciate. My favorite thing is the omakase for two where the chef creates a custom plate based on the fish that is fresh and in season. Drinks at Suzuki are also good as it has a wide array of saki and wine to choose from.

We were warned beforehand to make reservations for dinner and I'm super glad we did so. There was a sign when I entered for my 7:30 reservation stating no walk-ins for the night I went. There was a few that tried to finagle a spot for dinner but were turned away. Omakase for 2 includes 8 pieces of sushi total, 2 handrolls, 1 regular roll and assorted sashimi (I think it was anywhere from 4-6 slices of seafood of three different kinds). My omakase assortment included scallop, whelk, ebi, fluke, tuna, salmon, mackerel and hamachi. Everything was deliciously fresh and uniquely prepared. I especially the tuna and the scallop sashimi portion. Finally it's worth noting that the sushi chef at Suzuki is female. I'm not sure I've heard of or had sushi from a female sushi chef before then again I don't think it matters. If the food is good and of high quality,..... already looking forward to a future visit.

Like others have pointed out, you need to make a reservation in order to eat here because it is always packed. My friend called a month ahead for reservations and for the next month, I was looking forward to eating some good sushi. My friend comes here often with her family when she visits Maine, but since it was my first time, I had high expectations (especially because it's expensive). We ordered the omakase for two to try out an assortment of different sushi and sashimis. Our waiter kindly told us what each sushi was. The sushi was fresh and I could tell the quality was good because it melted in my mouth and wasn't overly chewy. The portion was definitely a good size for two small asian girls, but I would recommend getting another roll or entree if you have a big appetite.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Chef Keiko combines the best of Rockland, fresh seafood and artwork, to put out some of the best sushi that I've ever had anywhere in the world. Do not miss this if you are in Maine. We tried to get a second reservation. But, sadly they are closed Sun-Tues.

Loved the sushi, sashimi and nigiri! Service from Todd was definitely a highlight. He gave us the right suggestions and we enjoyed our meal. The hot sake and plum wine were great accompaniments.

Maybe the lights were a little harshly bright, but otherwise a fine place to dine. We didn't get too many things, as we stopped in more for a finisher for the evening than full meal (we'd come from a party with small foods). We ordered a shoyu ramen and a dragon roll. Interesting note on the dragon roll, it has a sweet potato interior. This led to a distinct flavor from other rolls I've had in the past, and a smooshier texture, but a good roll nonetheless. The ramen was mostly a delight. Sumptuous broth, the egg was not too hard nor soft, and almost all the ingredients were perfect. Which I usually avoid that word because it's too subjective, but it seems to fit here. Major exception is the chashu pork. It was overcooked to the extreme. No other word for it, these dried out circles of meat were thick and chewy, and soaking them in the broth couldn't save them. Sad. Otherwise, some of the best ramen I've had since leaving Japan. The only other note I'd have is I just wanted some tea, and had to order a weird tea concoction to get it. Sometimes you'd just like an oolong tea, nothing fancy. I recommend this restaurant, overall, and hope you enjoy it too.

We arrived early and found a spot in the very small lot they have next to the building. There were plenty of street spots open within walking distance as well. The whole area fills up starting in late morning, so I would plan your trip and know all of your parking options in advance so that you aren't driving 5 miles an hour down the road looking for parking. LOL There is usually a wait, so just be prepared for it. I was able to put our name on the list and we walked around the area. Our server was great - wow was she energetic. Zipping around, smiling and engaging with all of the customers. Our food was delicious!! The sticky bun...we managed to snag one of the last few left. Again, get there early if you don't want to miss out. The corned beef hash - amazing Biscuits - YUM Gravy - savory goodness. Home fries - flavorful and not too greasy. Eggs - perfect! I highly recommend this place and I hope to be able to return again soon, during the non-tourist season.

This cozy breakfast and lunch spot is popular with locals and visitors, so you'll likely have to wait for a table. It is definitely worth the wait, but If you're in a hurry, check to see if a seat is available at the counter. Service at Home Kitchen is warm and welcoming, and you're in for a treat if you're lucky enough to sit in Zan's area (short for Suzanne). I couldn't decide between a tuna sandwich or a grilled cheese, and she suggested combining both into a tuna melt. Brilliant! Along with a shared order of large fries, it was a tasty and filling lunch. The best part? All of it was gluten free! Home Kitchen bakes their own GF bread and pastries, and they are far superior to grocery-store GF baked goods. Even though we were sated from lunch, Zan encouraged us to order dessert, since they had a GF chocolate cupcake with salted caramel frosting. On her recommendation, we got two cupcakes to go - a GF chocolate cupcake for me, and a pumpkin cupcake with maple cream cheese frosting for my friend -- which we enjoyed later in the day from the comforts of home. Wow. Super delicious. More please!

White table cloth service. Servers were all excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. This place has the best fine dining experience in the mid-coast. Food was outstanding- every course. I did find the printed à la carte and dessert menus odd as they list the dishes' main ingredients but lack any preparation detail. So we found ourselves having to ask about several dishes before being able to make a selection. Maybe it is on purpose but it made me a bit uncomfortable to keep asking about preparation of the dishes throughout the courses. The only real negative for us is the same negative we had 10 years ago. We were seated in the porch area and I suspect they fill this area first as it has wonderful views of the Camden Hills. Both times we have been seated in there, there have been loud, fairly obnoxious diners (#-bombs flying this last visit) in the room with us.
