Umm, WOW!! Come try it out for yourself. I can't begin to explain how great this place is. The service is outstanding and the flavor of the sundae's is out of this world. There was an older man who seemed to be the owner and it made me feel good that he was very patient w the man who was ordering in front of me. The owner provided him with options and even several prices to see what fit his budget best. Not once did he become impatient. The guy who was ordering thanked him and wished him a great day. Absolutely terrible customer service. Not sure if the man behind the counter was having a bad day or what but you should not yell at customers for no reason. Decided to stop by and try this place that's close to my home, but never again. As a first time customer I was looking at the menu just checking out what they have to offer when I got yelled at multiple times that the food menu was closed. Ok? I came in for ice cream. When I proceeded to try to order my ice cream, he laughed in my face and asked so rudely "how do you want me to do that?! We only have ice cream on a cone or tornadoes. That's it!" Uhm... my bad it's my first time here you can explain your menu politely sir or be a bit accommodating as I wasn't asking for a complicated order. Honestly even calling him "sir" is showing him too much respect for how I was treated here. Very terrible for business. I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews. It's so easy to criticize but you are reviewing someone's livelihood and a negative review could damage that. Saying this, I hope with my negative review, the owner will take the steps necessary to improve things. While the building is old, and the seating area looks somewhat rundown, everything looked very clean. However where the tables are it's quite dark, and there was no music being played which made me want to take my food and leave. I ordered chicken tender meal with fries and a soft serve vanilla ice cream in a cup. The owner proceeded to take my order, take my card run it on his phone. Put the phone down and proceeded to cook my meal. Didn't wash his hands, didn't put gloves on. Didn't wear a mask. To cook my chicken tenders he first put them in the microwave for a few minutes than threw them in the deep fryer. Again there was no sanitizing happening. Phones and credit cards have so much bacteria on them, to not wash hands or wear gloves before preparing food is such a hazard. Not wearing a mask while taking orders and preparing food when COVID is still happening is a danger. He put the food in a bag, which I took and then proceeded to throw away. There was no way that microwaved than fried tenders prepared by someone who didn't wash his hands was going to be consumed by me. I took one bite of my soft serve and also threw that away. Soft serve vanilla ice cream should be bright white and completely smooth. The ice cream was beige in color and filled with ice crystals. Which meant the machine hadn't been cleaned and the ingredients are old. Hopefully the owner will not let my experience be a repeat for other customers. If I had been a health inspector, the restaurant would have been shut down. read more

I was super sad to see that Foster's Freeze is no longer at this location. I've loved that business since I was a little kid. But fear not, Suzys Freeze is a pretty good replacement. The man in charge is very friendly and attentive which makes you feel that he actually cares about your business. The prices are fairly similar to Foster's so it's still kind of pricey but the product is worth it for a splurge every once in a while. The menu is a basically the same and the quality is on point. This place is a gem! I just moved to the area recently and thought places like this didn't exist anymore. Being here reminded me of my childhood. Take your kids here and give them a slice of the past! Classic food/ ice cream choices at a classic price! Everything is served piping hot and freshly made. It all tasted great. Takes a little longer then fast food chains but the man works hard. I'm so glad my kids got to experience what a real ice cream shop was like when I was a kid . The guy who runs this place deserves 5 stars alone for his hard work and customer service. He was so soft spoken, kind and genuine. It's small businesses like this that I love to support. Worst experience ever.... He does not even deserve 1 star! The older man was very rude, my son wanted an ice cream cup with gummy worms and m&ms and the old man yelled at my son and said "No, No, can't do!" I really don't understand how hard it was for him to charge us a small cup with gummy's and m&ms. So I ended up asking him for a tornado because he said he could not put the toppings on the vanilla cup for my son. Then I went ahead and asked for a Pepsi float and asked if he could go easy on the Pepsi and he said NO once more. He said why do we have to be very complicated.....! I don't understand why he was so angry and rude towards my family and I. So I had to tel my boy we would take our business elsewhere because my son even said why is he so mean. My son is 3 years old he did not have to be treated that way! Will not be returning, when I said Nevermind I'll just leave he said "YES, leave than" why is he working if he does not like his job. It was 2 pm when we arrived there and I was a little bit hesitant to go inside because only a few cars parked in the parking lot. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo for myself and a chicken tenders combo for my son. The food presentation is not that good but oh boy, when I took a bite on my chicken sandwich, all my hesitations faded away. It was one of the BEST chicken sandwiches I've ever had. After paying cash for a banana split and a vanilla ice cream cone I noticed that the cashier/owner went straight to prepare our order. I very politely asked him if he would please wash his hands. He clearly got upset, rolling his eyes, mumbled something, and angrily washed his hands. The chocolate and strawberry syrup were runny like water. My 10yr old son and I agreed that the ice cream was horrible and the peanuts were old. I will not be going back to this place. Not because of the awful banana split and ice cream.
