I have been here few times and the wash was up to par every time until the last time I visited, there was an issue with the machine while I was in the wash. The machine stopped after 30 secs and I had chosen the $12 wash at that time. Since there is no customer service and no number to contact for complaints, I went to their website and wrote to them about this issue. This review is for the DIY bay ONLY: First time (and last) here. 3 bays, usual sprinkler and brush setup, change machine only takes 1 and 5 dollar bills (despite saying it takes 10), no signs on credit card charges, etc and also no sign how much money it takes per minute of car wash. Water is cold (usually hot water to not damage paint due to heat difference), pretty expensive to properly wash the car and also, hoses are not long enough to reach around the car without constantly touching the roof / side of the car. BUT the biggest thing is, after washing the entire car, rinsing and then waxing it, I wiped it clean with my usual micro-fiber cloth and found a LOT of micro-scratches on one side of the car. I can only think it was something in the brush or the brush itself is very hard material but it totally ruined my clear coat and will definitely need a detail. I will not be back. read more

2nd review, 2/16/15: I was told by owners that they fixed the beeper. so I decided to give them another chance. THE BEEPER WAS NOT FIXED IN THE BAY CLOSEST TO THE AUTOMATIC CAR WASH. My car was full of soap so I had to put in another $3 to reactivate the washer to rinse it off, instead of adding a buck or so to do this while it was still in force. This is a ripoff, and have removed one star from the rating. Too bad--I would like to frequent neighborhood places. Used the self-serve, not automatic, car wash. Cleaned ok, but water pressure could be better. Biggest problem: no warning beeps to tell that you're running out of time. Did not know this, did not complete all of my washing, and didn't want to spend another $3 (minimum amount to start the self-serve) instead of just adding money as I went. I picked my car up from a friend's house at 11 PM and my car was COVERED in sap-- it had been under a sappy tree for almost a month. My entire car was so sticky that the car doors were noticeably harder to open and I could barely see out the windshield. After a few moments of panic and a Google search for automatic, 24-hour car-washes in the area, I found SV. There were 3 options, $6, $8 and $10. When I visited there was a $2 off with a check in on Yelp. Could not for the life of me figure out how to get my code off of the Yelp Check in (maybe it was my internet connection), the machines on the carwash clearly showed the ability to enter a code. Did the mid-level wash for $8. There was definitely still some dirt on the back of my car, but it looks much cleaner. The wash also didn't seem to do a great job with the top of my SUV either. It was probably worth not having to get out of my car and wash it myself and more affordable than having someone else do it. read more

This is our family's go to car wash when we only need the outside taken care of. We use both the drive through and self service with good results. Credit cards accepted. Change machine on site. I don't use the vacuum cause it ate my quarters a couple of weeks ago. When I was there the next time, the owner was there and I let him know. He gave me a handful of quarters with no issue. read more

It's a fine car wash when it works. The problem being that it always seems to be out of service. Worse is that very often the machine will happily take your money when it is out of service. There is a service number you can call but I just tried it and the mailbox is full. Bye bye $12. read more

Straightforward carwash, everything is explained very well before you drive in. The second program didn't leave my car very dry - I had to wipe it dry afterwards so bring a towel. Other than that, I was happy and I will be back here. read more

I remember the self-service part being here but not the drive thru and the guy who gave us the extra help with the glued on fruit on the hood of our car says they'll be adding a second drive-thru at the end of the month, which is good because without even yelp knowing about this place there was a line at 3pm on a Friday. What made it special is location - and that the owner saw we still had fruit stuck to our hood and brought out extra towels, both kinds of spray and offered the option of a second free trip thru the car wash if we preferred:) read more

Went there to use the self wash. Pulled in and found it requires payment in quarters. $5 in quarters gets you 5 minutes of spray time. I walk around and found they luckily had a quarter machine. I put my $5 bill in and get a bunch of quarters, thinking if I need more I'll go back. I then started washing my car, and realize I need more time. Their quarter machine would only take one of my $1 bills I had in my wallet, every other bill ($1s, $20s) went in and were rejected. The other quarter machine they have was missing parts and doesn't work at all. So I went back and put my extra 1 minute of quarters in and tried cleaning my car. I was able to get it all sprayed and only half of it rinsed. I then drove home in my half rinsed car to use a bucket to rinse the rest off. When I got there I found the car was as dirty or more then when I started. So: * on site machinery is not good * water coming out seems filthy * price seemed fine read more

This car wash is probably the best self-service car wash in Santa Clara County. I've been to about three other places in the area. Unlike those other places, all of the options here (the tire cleaner, the soap brush, the wax) actually work, and the pressure from the hose is really good. First time here, the owner was super nice and all the people who worked there were nice too ! They left my car looking BOMB. It's 25 dollars and they clean EVERYTHING. Inside and out. Totally worth it. They even have benches for you to sit while you wait. You can see everything they're doing . I was a loyal user of the self-wash bays (convertible) but I'm done with this place after losing my money 3X: 1) once the hose up top was disconnected; 2) the credit card reader double charged me; 3) took more than five dollars in coins and said I still owed $1.00 (the coin return was jammed with coins and wouldn't return rejected quarters. There's a number posted outside to call, but the VM box is usually full or the guy will call back and offer to credit you when he's there (I'm not going to make an appointment self-wash my car). The equipment is all old and faulty, which makes this place a big miss. read more

I tried this place out at 11:30am today. No line. You can do the do it yourself or the car wash ($6, 8, 10) that lets you pull your car through the washer (check the website for a $2 off code to make those washes $4, 6, 8). I did the do it yourself for $3- no buzzer sounded to let me know time was running out so I only washed soap off half the car. Then paid $1.50 for 4 minutes of vacuuming. Bring a towel to dry the car yourself. Overall, for $4.50, it did exactly what I needed it to- I would have appreciated the buzzer warning, though, to get all the soap off. Compared to the average wash around town which is around $16-20.99 for the low end before tax and tip, I felt that $4.50 for this was good. Soap was left all over my truck, and there is no underbody wash. It's bone dry under there. Bought the $12 deluxe. Move on, look elsewhere.

This is one of the most lacking self-service car washes I've ever been to. It either takes quarters or credit card and says three dollar minimum but it doesn't tell you how long you get. It also doesn't give you any warning when it's going to shut off or tell you how much additional money you need to put in to extend the time. It also did not recognize that I put in a full three dollars and I had to put in an additional quarter. It also does not have a spot free rinse or dryer. I usually go to a different self-service car wash for two dollars that has all of these things. However I live right around the corner so I figured I'd try a local business. I won't do that again unless they make the improvements. I also called them and left a message requesting a quote for interior and exterior detailing, but nobody ever called me back. read more

This is the best car wash I've found in the Palo Alto/Mountain View area! Long story short, my car was stuck under a very sappy tree for several weeks and basically covered in a hardened layer of sap, dirt, and leaves - I seriously struggled to scrape it off with a finger nail. As a poor college student, I couldn't afford to spend a lot getting the crap off, so this place was a godsend. The $10 wash got it almost completely off, and he let me go through a second time for free to get the rest! Wash my car here today. The wash itself is pretty good. However, I still need to complain about 2 things. 1. Credit card machine is not working. I swipe my card multiple times and nothing happens. Eventually, I gave up and use cash. 2. After you insert cash, there is no way to let you cancel and return the money back to you. Although there is a cancel button on the machine, it did not work. If you inserted cash and found out you do not have sufficient cash with you, you can only leave the cash you put in to the next driver. No way to get it back. read more
