    Salmon Benedict
    Jeremy G.

Stopped in mid-morning and it wasn't very crowded, which made for a really pleasant experience. The service was excellent, and both our drinks and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered the Salmon Benedict, and it honestly exceeded expectations. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and their house-made hollandaise sauce was especially good--much better than I anticipated. The drinks were solid as well and paired nicely with the meal. Overall, a great breakfast/brunch spot. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. Just keep in mind that all Swami's locations close at 3 PM, so plan accordingly.

We are from out of town, met up w/family members who love this place. Food: 10/10 huge portions that I got to take leftovers home for the next day lol Service: 7.5/10 it was Sunday morning around 10am so kinda busy We ordered The Big Breakfast & I had the Chorizo hash, both were delicious

Half the coffee's were empty, both creamers were empty. Nobody gives a crap.

What happened to this place, no creamer, empty coffee, lack of attention on any level. I never complain about anything, but this needs attention. Ordered over easy eggs and they came out overcooked, ordered a medium rare steak, came out well done. Went to get coffee, decaf was empty, hazelnut was empty, all creamers, empty. There seems to be no safeguards to any standards in this restaurant.

This is a great little breakfast spot in Escondido. They've got a lot to choose from on the menu, and everything we tried was very good! I love that they have their own little coffee bar that you can self-serve. Definitely worth a try!

I've said it before and I'll say it again ~ Swami's FOREVER! It never misses! So many great options, from healthy to not AS healthy - but truly something to offer for everyone. Chill vibes, great service.

Dropped by here for brunch when I was pregnant in my second trimester (August 2024) and limited with food options. I was happy to see omelettes that I could eat. If you're curious, I've been trying to avoid gluten, dairy, and soy. I got the Best of Escondido Omelette with hollandaise on the side. The omelette was huge and hearty. I ended up saving half to eat for later on. I was a tad disappointed about their wraps which only come as whole wheat, and they no longer offer spinach - as there wasn't much of a market/appetite for it. Tip for anyone that decides to take that to go - make sure you have tomatoes on the side! I got mines to go (as I needed to have some sort of snack - gluten or not) and it was super soaked by the time I decided I wanted to eat it later on in the day. There's a small parking lot and street parking. During rush hour it could be hard to find a spot. The interior look is very aesthetic and pleasing to the eye.

One thing I love about this spot is the self serve coffee bar. I love the coffee flavors, the variety of creamers, the choices in sweeteners. And my coffee here is always perfect!!!! I came in on a chill Tuesday afternoon. Andrea was my server, and she was great!! I ordered my normal. (Pineapple Pancake and hard scrambled eggs). They were delicious!! Let's talk about clean. I travel with a service dog. So, I can always tell how clean a place is, based on what he sees on the floor and how dirty he is after. Well, he didn't have any extra dirt or any extra treats from the floor while we were there. That makes me so happy. I enjoy this spot. I feel like it's one of the hidden gems in Escondido. Especially on weekdays.

The place was packed with happy people and enjoying the food. Portions are huge!!! Each plate can easily be a sharing plate. The new location must be working well. I saw a patio which looked inviting. For coffee lovers, there's a coffee bar and it's self-serve. However, please be respectful and don't linger and block others from trying to get their coffee. Had a problem with the table rocking. Invest in shims to balance the table. It is unnerving to see your table rocking back and forth like you are on a cruise ship. However, kudos to the Hostess/Server and Bus Person for attempting to adjust the table. We eventually moved to another table. The food was good. I got a perfectly medium rare steak. Although, I wish it was thicker. The steak was approximately 3/8" that shrank down to 1/4". Still tasty and probably will try another dish on the Special Menu. More satisfying. Lots of street parking around the restaurant just off the Centre City Parkway going West on Grand Avenue. We are certainly going back to try other delicious food.

We were seated right away and chose to sit at the patio since it was such a beautiful day outside. The server came right away. I ordered the ahi tuna wrap. I got salad as a side. Also came with a pickle. It was good and fresh. Good service, good food.

Parking was easy; dining was outside with lots of shade. The service was great; everyone was so friendly. We didn't wait long for our food or drinks. They even split the salad for us individually. The portions were generous than what we expected for a happy hour menu so it was a really GOOD deal. We ordered the lobster bisque, mussels with a red curry sauce, farmers market green salad, and ceviche. They were all so delicious! All the flavors were present as stated in the menu but were balanced and subtle which we loved. Our favorites were the bisque and the mussels. The lobster bisque was delicate and creamy with a hint of lobster. The ceviche was a tad bit too tart but we still enjoyed it with the fried chips. For happy hour, I highly recommend this place. It's so underrated. Easy parking, excellent service, and some really delicious food in town.

Unlike most places that only offer 4 or 5 basic items, Vintana has a good variety to choose from. Full-Sized Portions: Usually, Happy Hour means tiny "tapas" sizes, but here, you get full-sized portions that actually fill you up. Tuesday Date Night Deal: We did the Tuesday Date Night menu--$74.99 for two entrees and a bottle of wine. In 2026, finding a deal that good for a quality date night is rare. The Cons: Slow Service & a Spillage Slip-up The Wait: Despite having a 4:00 PM reservation and arriving on time, it took over 20 minutes just to get us seated. The staff is very friendly, but the overall pace felt a bit slow. The Incident: During dinner, our server brought out a mussels dish with a lot of liquid. Unfortunately, they spilled about half a cup of the sauce on the table and the floor, and about a good big tablespoon right onto my wife's clothes. Look, I get it--it's an accident, it's not life-or-death, and it's incredibly awkward and embarrassing for the server in the moment. However, while that specific server apologized, no managers or other staff ever followed up to check on her or offer to help clean it up, which was a bit disappointing. The Verdict Aside from the spill and the slow start, everything else was actually pretty good. The food is delicious, and the pricing for what you get is fantastic. I'd definitely come back for the food and the deals, but hopefully, the service coordination is a bit sharper next time!

The staff was very warm and welcoming, though throughout the evening it definitely felt like they may have been short staffed and stretched a bit thin. Since we were headed to a movie after dinner, we decided to keep things light and share appetizers plus dessert. We tried the Fried Shishito Peppers, Veggie Potstickers, Grilled Broccolini, Rosemary Garlic Fries, Whipped Burrata, Garlic Noodles, Salmon Poke Tacos, and Lamb Chops. Overall, the food was decent but nothing especially memorable. The lamb chops were cooked nicely but could have used more seasoning, and the poke tacos were tasty but tiny -- literally about the size of my pinky for each taco. We were disappointed they had sold out of both the Crème Brûlée Bread Pudding and the Budino, which were the desserts we originally wanted to try. Thankfully, the Butter Toffee Cake completely saved dessert for us -- absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. Our server recommended a special habanero roll, and my friend ordered the Hawaii rolls--both were excellent. Another friend ordered a burger and really enjoyed it as well, so the kitchen is definitely doing something right. Where things fell short was the service. Our server started off great--friendly and with a good vibe--but as the evening went on, things slowed down noticeably. The host was not very attentive; we had to ask multiple times for items, and drinks were delayed until our server eventually followed up. It felt like no one else was stepping in to help. There were also a few mix-ups. We ordered crème brûlée and cheesecake, but were mistakenly given bread pudding that belonged to another table. It took about 20 minutes for the server to return and let us know about the error. While it wasn't added to our bill, there wasn't much effort made to make up for the inconvenience. I also ordered another glass of wine that never arrived--though, to be fair, I wasn't charged for it. Toward the end of the night, service became even more inconsistent. We were ready to pay, but the server disappeared for a while, and when he finally took our card, he seemed distracted and took extra time chatting with another table. Overall, it's a nice spot--especially for a summer dinner--and the food is definitely worth trying. However, the service needs improvement before I'd consider coming back.

Tucked into the corner of a little strip mall on the east side of Esco I can't imagine how many people have missed or passed it without giving a thought. I've lost track of how many breakfasts we have had at this diner over the years but the one consistent thing is the service is always on point and everything we have tried has been great (except the chicken fried steak which was perfectly average but I am SUPER picky about chicken fried steak). I tend to stick with omelettes but their pancakes and waffles are always delicious and honestly I can never decide if I like the hash browns or home fries more so that is always a last minute decision. It has sucked watching the prices go up but I would be disingenuous if I said I didn't understand that they are dealing with their own suppliers raising prices on them and if they did not raise the prices then they would go out of business.
