Wanted to try this place out. Variety of different food selections is good. Having only 1 flavor for the boil garlic butter and then spicy or mild is pretty basic. Staff was friendly, bathroom clean, venue nice. Swamp pack was good. The snow crab wasn't the best I've had. Shrimp was good medium size. Potosi we're too done, falling apart in my fingers, corn was ok. Shrimp fried rice was ok. You had to give your drivers license in order to get claw crackers! 2nd go round! First time I came they were closed but this time they were in full swing! It was about 5 people in line when I arrived but the line moved quickly! I ordered the Mini City pack which came with fried rice n crawfish tails topped with 5 grilled shrimp. I got the spicy flavor and soy sauce on the side. Unlike most places, they give you the option if you want the carrots and peas in your fried rice. I thought that was unique. I had a taste for crab legs but I didn't see them on the menu. The food is made pretty quickly and served hot. After about 2min they were calling my name. I couldn't wait to dive in once I got in the car and boy was it hard to stop eating. Something about this place differs from most Chinese places and even Lotus.. In a good way! There were several customers dining in and even more coming in. Came here right after we landed and it was a nice welcoming meal to Houston. We were a bit nervous because of the surround area but the inside does the reflect the exterior. Service was great. Nam was really helpful with what we should order. The Thai tea was flavorful. The fried rice was bomb. I really like the crawfish (and I'm not a crawfish person). The fried rice was delicious. I couldn't stop eating it. That and the fries were my top 3 favorite items there. I loved the Cajun seasoning on it. The fried fish and shrimp was good. Big portions in my opinion. I would never return to this restaurant. Service was bad and very long wait. I went during lunch and the website and different prices then what was currently shown on the menu in the restaurant. The manager did not want to honor the price when we only ordered for the prices online. Manager then agreed and didn't apologize for the incorrect info online. Needless to say the fried fish and shrimp were average nothing to rave about. I forgot to mention the credit card machine wasnt working and they didnt inform anyone until the got to the restaurant. Just amazing! I haven't reviewed in a while but this place was worth the time to write one. It's a fairly new place with amazing fresh seafood and reasonably priced options. Their music selection is worth noting :) I might bring my laptop here and hang out! The food was served quickly and the spice level was on point. I am used to spicy Southeast Asia cuisine and this was a nice treat. I came with a group of colleagues and had pretty much everything on the menu: boiled shrimp, snow crab, wings, fried rice, catfish and gumbo. The shrimp and the snow crab were my favorite! So I tried it for myself, and did not go by what others said. Yes, you get a lot of rice. But I've had shrimp rice and chicken wings at other cajun spots and it was better. Now the smoothie I had was good. Mango/Peach flavor. Won't recommend this place to someone thats eager to try it. Bathroom was dirty. Wasn't professional by management. I wasn't impressed though... It was around 9 p.m. and I was in the mood for some fried rice. So yelped a few places and this place stood out with its high ratings. I drive on over, but I must say that I did not feel safe. I circled the parking lot probably three times looking for the closest spot to the door. The area that it's in made me feel like my car would get broken into while I went in to pick up my order. I wasn't able to call it in because they did not pick up the phone. It was pretty busy at 9 p.m. I ordered the Thai green tea, which I would have enjoyed if they did not use cow's milk. Normally other places use non-dairy creamer for these type of drinks. I also ordered the shrimp fried rice, which was okay. These shrimp were the small round shrimp that are likely frozen. The peas and carrots tasted like the frozen kind also. I was not impressed at all. They're crawfish must be slammin! Because with those type of ratings, something at this place has to be great. It's not the fried rice though. The two stars that were given, are for the quick food prep time. From the time I place my order to the time my food was ready was less than 10 minutes, which I appreciated. Also the staff taking the order at the counter were welcoming and helpful. The service was more of 4 *, but the food and overall experience is it 2* for me. read more

Negatives first so we get that out the way. Music is toooooooo loud. Its like a battle of the kitchen mexican music in the back and the rhythm of the hood in the front. Like both types just too damn loud. Ok now for the positives. From their little potatoes and corn on the cob side dish to their delicious gumbo and perfectly fried fish. I always feel like im eating very good food without breaking the bank. The place is always clean their portions are generous. The rice is always perfect. The shrimp maybe a little over cooked but the flavor is on point. And at the very top is the flavor of their hot sauces - its a perfect combination of hot, salt and acidic. Another Lotus like seafood spot is what this place seem to come off as. The inside is more sleek and modern, but the blaring of ghetto mumble rap and the similar names of some of their dishes (Loud Pack vs City Pack) screams Lotus to me. The fish was battered lightly and fried to perfection. Each fish bite was flaky with a nice crisp. The fries were the battered crispy kind, the way I prefer my fries. I also ordered a "Mini City Pack" which is Cajun fried rice(w/veggie, shrimp and crawfish tails) with 6 boiled shrimp. The Cajun rice was flavorful with a very small kick to it. I've had other say it was definitely spicy but to me I barely felt any heat at all. The shrimp were good as well but the winner of the city pack is definitely the Cajun rice. Overall: Bottom line, the items I tried here were Great. I can do without the blaring of the lame a$$ mumble rap they play here, and they need to work a little bit better on their customer service. Yes! Another seafood restaurant added to the list! it was just a random day when I decided to come here. I usually just drive past it but thank goodness I made a U-ie and got my little bum in there right at opening time! not a bad decision at all! I love the wall paintings that they have on there which composed of every color of the rainbow! Also representing Houston's sports teams (Astros, Texans, Rockets & the Dynamos!) it was definitely an eye catcher. This place relatively modern and so was its decor. I dig it. It's very much similar to cafeteria style where you order at the counter & wait for name to be called. Since this was my first time, I did go a little crazy with the ordering. Haha probably over ordered actually. snow crab legs - these were huge! I think most of the seafood is served in a garlicky buttery sauce so definitely a plus. It was really meaty but I think it might of been a bit overcooked since the crab meat didn't come right out. Not bad. Wish they would have given me a crab cracker & sea sheller bc it was a bit of a struggle eating them! wings & fries - these were my least favorite. wings were really heavily battered and quite frankly.. a tad bit salty for me. Fries were tasty. shrimp - these also came in a garlic butter sauce and it was yum. Perfectly cooked! but 1lb was a lot of shrimp to peel! haha my eyes were definitely bigger than my tummy. turkey necks - this was my absolute favorite! turkey necks were so tender, fall of the bones! I got both mild and non spicy because I'm not a spicy person. But for sure order the mild next time since it has a nice bite to it. The non spicy was delicious as well but the mild was just more savory! mango green tea - I really wanted an unsweetened ice tea but they didn't offer it so opted for this. I love how they weren't stingy with the sauce and separated each pound of shrimp we ordered instead of putting everything in one bag like other restaurants usually do. When i got to the restaurant, i was first told by one employee that I only need a screenshot of the bottom of the paid receipt with the last four digits of the card. I was then told from a different employee that I could not do that, that i either needed a bank statement or the actual card. The entire experience was very disrespectful & distasteful. It's alright. Wings are kind of small. The really drown them in sauce. You can tell they use lower quality chicken. The chicken does not compare to the chicken you will find at pluckers or Buffalo Wild Wings. The price is decent 10 wings and fries 7.49. They will substitute for rice but be aware. They will up charge your 3.00 for the rice. I got the Cajun style fried rice. Was not a fan of It all. Too much crawfish. Didn't taste good at all. They swapped It for shrimp fried rice. I wild have been better off with the fries. The wings are pretty good. Wish they were a little bigger. The place is in a really shady spot. Pretty dirty on the inside too. I saw the Asian lady with tattoos play basketball with food while bussing a table lol she was throwing fries and wings from the table to the trash can. Place needs a deep cleaning.
