I really appreciate his calm kindness and not getting impatient with me as I basically freak out about whatever bugs we are dealing with. And the treatment he uses has been effective over the years - he eradicated a winged ant infestation for us where they were coming out of the electrical sockets, vents, etc. They never came back after multiple rounds with Mario. He is also very knowledgeable and has given us great advice for keeping other bugs at bay. A few months ago we had a HUGE flea issue. Both our cats had fleas and so did our house. We tried everything: - bathing the cats, dosing them with flea med every month, flea comb, washing their bedding, dry flea shampoo. - vacuuming the house, washing all our bedding and EVERY SINGLE ITEM OF CLOTHING, fogging the place 3x. We've used Swarm for regular spraying for insects over the years and have had a great experience. For some reason they have been unresponsive in recent weeks. I have called and left several messages and have not gotten a reply. We set up a rodent trap a few months ago and were supposed to call back to have them check it and pick it up, but they have not been reachable. It's disappointing. EDIT: Mario, the owner, replied and resolved the issue right away. Apparently my messages were going to an old number and he wasn't getting them. Having used Swarm before for ants at our previous home, and being super impressed, we called again for help. Derek was at our house less than 72 hours later. He showed up on time, was super friendly, listened to my description of our problem, and not only addressed our concerns, but told us additional things to look out for. Mario was awesome. Since I have dealt with my fair share of shady businesses--and who hasn't?--his roach/ant control and honest business sense was a breath of fresh air. I was really impressed from the start. He is a family man with a good heart, and I can't imagine him striving for anything but a five. I also can't imagine going anywhere else for that reason. The first time that I called him was due to the ubiquitous ants, and maybe it's because I wasn't here as frequently, but we didn't need to have him back for at least a year. How's that for fair and effective? Fast fw. to this crazy weather and I am now booking him on a more regular basis. He did not try to upsell me to do everything at once, even if I wanted all of the chemicals I could naively handle, and that was impressive. As soon as I called him, he called me back immediately and was available in a timely manner, in spite of his popularity. Longtime Yelper but first time reviewer. I was so impressed with Mario's service and work, that I simply had to write this review. My wife and I had just moved into our new home and saw a German cockroach (the bad ones, apparently) the morning after our first night. We were horrified. I called Mario at around 8pm hoping to leave a message and get a call the next morning. He called back within 5 minutes and spent 30 minutes explaining the difference between various cockroach species and how to deal with them. He came by the very next day. He was on time (early in fact) and after examining the home concluded that we did not have a cockroach problem and rather than spraying the place and leaving bait, he recommended we save some money and just leave bait, which would do the trick. His honesty was refreshing and much appreciated. If that wasn't enough, Mario went above and beyond the call of duty. The day he came over he noted a smell under our kitchen sink and called me the very next day (and the day after) saying that he asked around and he may know what the possible cause might be. He recommended I contact a professional to have it taken care of, which I plan to do. As for his work, its been a week so far and no roaches or ants (which we also sprayed for) in sight. read more

Mario is pretty awesome. I finally decided to call someone after seeing a cluster of round, white, spiky things outside my window. I googled it and found that they were brown widow spider eggs. Ewwwwwwww. I called another place with many great reviews. They quoted me $175 with 60 days guarantee, and I mentioned I had a few wasp nests, and they quoted me$195 w. 1 yr guarantee. The earliest they could come was 6 days later. Mario picked and was nice and super informative. The price is based on the size of your house. He quoted me $160 less the$25 yelp discount. So $135 with 90 days guarantee! I mentioned the wasp nests and he said he could do it for free if there weren't that many and he could easily reach them. Awesome! He was able to come the next day, sprayed for the spiders and ants (for free), and knocked down a few wasp nests (which ended up being inactive nests) and didn't even charge me for it. After finding a few roaches in our home my wife called this company. Technician came to our Santa Ana home, and after explaining to me what he'd be doing to treat our house. Then he continued to explain the reason why Santa Ana notoriously has a roach problem, his reason was the following: "Hispanic people work in kitchens and these german roaches travel with them back into their homes" and that's why Santa Ana has a roach problem. I kindly asked him to leave my home. He had no real remorse or sense, that these type of comments are super problematic and that he is in a customer service industry where everything you say to a customer has implications. The pride he felt, as a white man. That he didn't do anything wrong is the perfect example of white man ego. And even felt as if he was the one that got offended when I asked him to leave. I can't tell you whether or not the services they offer are good or not. Maybe they do a good job with pest control. But this technicians customer service. Was poor and offensive. They will not get my business knowing that there are many more companies in the are that will probably have more sense in treating their customers right. read more
