Dr. Agarwal is probably one of the best dentists I've ever had and I've gone through quite a few. Couple of reasons for this: 1) She's extremely punctual. I often have meetings on and off within the city, and she budgets her time wisely so you can plan out your day very effectively. I don't have to plan to spend hours at the dental office. 2)She's extremely warm and welcoming, and is a calm presence when operating on your teeth. In December of 2017 I had dental work completed by Dr. Swati Agarwal in the office at 500 Sutter St. I would like to compliment Jutta, the Office Manager, for her positive attitude, friendliness and kind demeanor. I originally went for a fractured tooth, but I agreed to a "Smile Design". $1,900 later, I had a plan to get 9 teeth crowned. The invoice says: "Porcelain fused to high noble metal" for $2,060 plus $365 for core build up for each crown. I also received an occlusal orthotic device for $1,650. I was required to pay the total amount due immediately: $22,355.00. The temporary crowns were too long and very yellow and I was unable to speak properly (could not pronounce S's and F's.) I went back after two weeks and Swati replaced the temporaries. She created the molds for the final crowns from these temporaries. I was in pain and still unable to speak properly. I went back two weeks later and the final crowns were cemented. I was still in pain for a month. I took ibuprofen every day. Also, the final crowns were NOT made of porcelain fused to metal, but made of a material called E-Max. The crowns were very thick and made it difficult for me to speak properly. In January 2018 I went back 5 times for adjustments to try to get the speech corrected. I had a definite lisp. Still in pain, still rather slurred speech and very frustrated. They suggested I continue and get the rest of a full mouth reconstruction done to solve the problems including a cross bite. It was recommended I give it some time and "not think so hard when speaking." After 4 more weeks I decided to seek a second opinion. Dr. Agarwal kindly provided me the information and models needed. The 9 crowns have been drilled off and replaced. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of dental visits, but the staff at the Studio made me feel relaxed and kept me within my comfort zone the whole time. Every step of the way, she described what she was doing and what's coming next which put my mind to ease. I went to her a few years ago for an emergency dental procedure for a fractured front tooth. As nervous as I was, she made me feel comfortable and explained the procedure step-by-step. The procedure was quick and smooth, and best of all, she did an absolutely AMAZING job! Unlike experiences with other dentists, Dr. Agarwal is extremely thorough with her work. I came to Dr. Agarwal when I saw that she is able to do a deep cleaning with anesthesia. I called the office and Jutta was super helpful in helping me set up my first appointment so they can see what they are working with. Shortly after that I also had Dr. Jaber's number so that he could talk to me about anesthesia and we were set to go for my deep Cleaning. I am one of those people that is super nervous and scared of not just doctors offices but of needles the most, which is why this made much sense for me to do. Dr. Agarwal and her staff are so nice and so patient with me and explains everything that they need to do and how long it may take. My deep cleaning was awesome! It was easy to reach their receptionist to verify my insurance and schedule an appointment. She was very welcoming and personable. Once at the office, she made sure that I was provided coffee and water. The new office looks great - there's comfortable seating with nice decor. I was brought back quickly for my appointment. During the exam, she had exceptional bedside care - she made sure I was comfortable the whole time since she knew my teeth and gums were very sensitive. She spoke in a calming voice and checked in frequently. After the exam, she made sure to go over her recommendations but I didn't feel pressured into selecting her plan.
