Especially one lady with short hair who is always chatting with younger staff and barely looks up to check people in. other's area lifetimes greet you warmly when you enter but most of the desk staff is preoccupied here. Gym desperately needs cleaning- cleaning is done by internal staff. Mats are dirty and never see anyone wiping down weights or mats / although they have spray and towels for guests to use. Restrooms are dirty and need a deep clean and improvements -( behind the stall doors- need to be cleaned)! This location is 20+ years old and lots of newer clubs going in and send this one is being neglected. Speakers in the main group fitness room only work on one side and cut out in the middle of routines. Classes were great but they keep changing formats and if there are less than 12-15 in a class they cut the class. For the price being paid they should hold class even if 5 people sign up. So many trainers around for a fee but classes seem to be getting limited compared to the newer gyms. Still going due to location but it needs some love!

A membership costs around $80 a month and they do not offer or sell "day passes." Positives - not too crowded in the morning and virtually dead on the weekends, but evenings and lunchtime has some folks in there. - has all of your major pieces of equipment and tools. - it seems since it's small, not crowded, and has everything, my workouts are much more quickly executed than doing it at the larger gym (LifeTime). - has a certified trainer there some of the time and you can hire her for personal training. - sometimes they offer night classes for spinning. This has gone in and out over the few years I've been a member. - parking and getting into the gym is no fuss and very close - shower rooms are private, have lockable doors, complete with shower, sink, countertop, shampoo, bodywash, etc., although half the time the faucets don't work. - tv's on the treadmills and steppers...and they usually work - they usually have apples (but only apples) out Negatives - there are lockers, but you can't lock them, even if you have your own padlock, so you have to carry your phone, wallet, and keys with you. - faucet in the men's bathroom and most of the shower rooms do not work half the time (been like that for years)...usually the women's bathroom faucet works. I'm only talking about the sink faucets, not the shower water. - takes awhile for broken equipment to get fixed properly (e.g., the elliptical had been sounding like it's about to fall apart for a few months now). I think they tend to take action only when hotel guests say something. - no steam room or sauna - they have towels, but they sometimes smell pretty rough, like they didn't get washed well. Sometimes old makeup on them.

So far I've taken zumba and pilates classes and loved them. They also offer personal training and the machines look really nice. Such a bonus it's located within five minutes of my home. I had a really disappointing experience at the Anytime Fitness Naperville location…read more During my workout, I was approached by the owner, Mike Starck, about an issue I genuinely was not aware of. I acknowledged it right away and told him I would take care of it on my next visit. Instead of handling it professionally, he chose to escalate the situation. He removed my personal belongings and placed them outside, which felt completely unnecessary and disrespectful, especially since I was still actively using the space. There was no one else around my workout area, and the situation did not call for that kind of response. To make things worse, he proceeded to call the police and claimed I was trespassing, which turned what should have been a simple conversation into a public and uncomfortable scene. I understand there are rules and policies, but the way this was handled lacked basic professionalism and respect. Situations like this should be resolved through communication, not escalation. I will not be returning.

What you will find: - No waiting to get on a machine. - Friendly staff (complete with personal trainers) - Being surrounded by people who aren't there for a contest of beauty - Bunches of TVs. - The ability to work out comfortably in a nice environment. Also with my membership (Which is only $29 a month) I also get full access to the indoor swimming pool, and during the summer months, the outdoor water park. (Good if I had kids.) There is also another location run by the park district, which I have not been to. That one boasts a larger workout area along with a climbing wall. I am just glad I found somewhere I feel comfortable going to, and this place makes me look forward to going to the gym each chance I get. They are open at around 5 am every day (including weekends) but close at 10pm (M-F), 8pm (Sat) and 6pm (Sun).

The classes range from 30-60 minutes, I believe, and they even have ShredKids which is a kids section in the studio for parents! I thought that was such a thoughtful addition to their studio. Also, the place is NICE. It's literally spotless and they have everything you need and more from a fitness studio. They have private showers and bathrooms and they were all so clean. Parking is right in front of the store, too. The instructors and team here are everything. Steph and Ashlee are beyond incredible. Supportive, energetic, kind, hospitable - they truly were meant to be doing this and they're what differentiates Shred415 from other fitness places. Staff has such positive and uplifting attitudes, and I love that it is women-led. You can tell by the fact they have a kids section in the studio for parents who are working out! I really enjoy that they have varied workouts now, some that are more walking/incline focused with weights, some that are formatted the same but with more recovery, I just wish those were also an hour long too! I used to take Barry's classes a ton when I lived in the city, but since I've found Shred415 it's my favorite - and I've now have taken almost 150 classes! Their class structure is very similar to a Barry's workout - their structure is 15 treadmill/15 floor/15 treadmill/15 floor, but the instructors also get creative with incorporating different types of equipment for different timed segments. My favorite right now has to be their 45 min strength class - Addie is amazing with form advice and programming! I also miss Colleen! Steph and Ashlee are excellent instructors and a fantastic duo, and I really admire how they run their business. They truly do so much - live DJ workouts, perks for special occasions, collaborations, putting different instructors on with opportunities, it's just really genuine and you can tell!
