Craving a chocolate croissant and have yet to find 'the one' I remembered this French bakery. I had…read morean hour between appointments so decided to see if it was open yet as it had closed due to new ownership. To my delight, it was! What better place to get my craving than a French bakery, right? Ambiance was as expected. There was also an entrance that lead out to a patio with table and chairs if fresh air was your preference. Many of baked goods to choose from as you can see from the pictures. As for my chocolate croissant, a bit disappointing. Dry and barely any chocolate. I'd asked to have it warmed and it just flaked. All so very surprising coming from especially a FRENCH bakery. Which... leads me to surmise the others may be dry as well? I gave it 3 stars as the cappuccino was tasty and ambiance was enjoyable. I may or may not try it again. Perhaps it was just the morning batch? But feel free to check it out!

The coffee bar has several different roasts and flavored coffees to try, or you can order the coffee bar as your drink and get a mug for unlimited self-serve refills. We ordered their signature iced coffee, and it was delicious. The food menu has plenty of ways to customize your meal. I had the crab salad sandwich with a side of cinnamon bread, and it was fantastic. I'm not a fan of celery, but it was finely chopped instead of having big chunks, so it was perfect. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with great food, delicious coffee, and genuinely friendly service. I'm really glad we found Sweet Bean, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to.

I mentioned to the employee that the decaf was old & he offered to make more....he did but I'm pretty sure he didn't get rid of the old stuff still in there! I went back up & poured again, same disgusting coffee came out, I pointed it out & he shrugged & I said I'll just have regular coffee, he dumped out the icky decaf & gave me the cups back. *Being called Speckled Egg I would expect a lot of breakfast entries, nope, very little. *We both got omelettes, hub the Philly cheesesteak with home style potatoes which I asked what are the potatoes like & he said little cubed potatoes with onions & green peppers, it was either that or hash browns, ok give him the cubed potatoes. We paid First Watch or any other great breakfast place prices & got way less than McDonalds quality food & coffee. People do yourself a hard pass on this place, there's a First Watch a few doors down, man I could of had a really fantastic breakfast there & also a new place called The Morning Bloom down a little further north in the big plaza. I had the Nordic Smoked Salmon Frittata with potato salad and sour dough bread too. Both frittatas were cooked perfectly with veggies and herbs. I had black coffee too. It was one of the nicest breakfasts that we had in a long time. The price was quite high $56 with a tip. The quality and the service were worth it!

I do want to say the service was very good, our waitress was very sweet and attentive, and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the service. However, both my meal and my husband's meal were awful, especially for the price we paid. The quality just was not worth it. Maybe it was just the two meals we ordered, I'm not sure, but if this had been my first time visiting, I would never return. I much prefer writing positive reviews over negative ones, but I felt people should know about our experience. Sadly, after this visit, we will not be coming back.
