I'll start off this review by saying that I've eaten at Sweet Cheeks many times pre-pandemic and I've always enjoyed my experiences. The BBQ is solid and the biscuits and honey butter are as good as people have said in other reviews. It's also a chill place to have a meal, even when it does get a little busy during peak times. This review is for the chicken wings that they were selling for Super Bowl Sunday. What a huge disappointment. We paid $35 for two dozen of the tiniest chicken wings I've ever seen. Some of them looked small enough to have been taken off a quail. I realize that sounds hyperbolic, but I was truly shocked when I opened the container and saw what they had given us. Several of the wings had significant amounts of feathers still attached. Look, chickens have feathers and I get that when you're dealing with ingredients like this stuff can sometimes slip through, but it was off-putting how they didn't even seem to try to make these look presentable. They were also underwhelming flavor-wise, from what little meat I could manage to find on the bone. My wife and I were still so hungry by the end that we ordered a dozen more wings for $20 from another popular BBQ place in the Seaport. There was more meat on those 12 wings than the 24 from Sweet Cheeks, they were delivered to us in under an hour and they tasted better. You can blame city prices all you want, but we only paid slightly more per wing at the second place and got a ton more value. If I had to summarize the experience in a word, it would be "pathetic." If we were hosting a party and served those wings, I would have been embarrassed. If this is the quality that Sweet Cheeks is proud to offer, I will not be going back. read more

Over the holiday vacation I went to Boston to visit a friend who recently moved to Fenway. We left her apartment at 5:30 on a Thursday night to head to a different restaurant- which we left after a few minutes because of how busy it was. We ended up at Sweet Cheeks. I had been to Sweet Cheeks once before with family, probably a year ago. I'm not an avid meat lover, I should mention. I really only eat chicken and turkey so a BBQ restaurant wasn't my first choice. Sweet cheeks was completely full on a 10 degree night at 6:00. We found three seats at a bar against the window. It was freezing so I was practically shivering the entire meal. I kept my eyes peeled for an open table that never came to fruition (probably a sign of how much these Bostonians love their BBQ). All of us opted for the same thing to drink- the seasonal cider. The waiter recommended it when I asked for "the opposite of hoppy." It was very sweet with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Very tasty! And came in a Mason jar to add to the southern charm. The three of us split a honey-buttered biscuit, which honestly was my favorite part of the meal. So much for me being dairy-free... it was buttery and freshly baked. The outsides were perfectly browned and the insides steamy and fluffy, the way any good biscuit should be. The pulled chicken sandwich was okay. It came with no side or anything which I thought was strange (though it was only $11, and the cheapest meal on the menu). The only other things on the plate (a metal tray) were pickles and raw onions. I chose to have the sandwich it on a roll instead of Texas toast. There was no sauce on the chicken so I opted to add a few drips of BBQ that was already on our table for our taking. I did eat the whole thing- I was starving. The staff was friendly and handling the full house well. I'm glad I had a second experience at Sweet Cheeks, but this soon-to-be-vegetarian likely won't be back. read more

My husband and I went here for dinner two nights ago. We are from Texas and are relatively picky about our barbecue. Overall, I thought this place produced barbecue that ranged from mediocre to superb. The food we tried: Pork ribs: These were the best, in my opinion. Perfect texture, with just enough chewiness, enough smoke, and not overly sweet. Might be the best ribs I've had in an "upscale barbecue" place. Sliced brisket: Excellent brisket! Not overcooked, great flavor, and not over-seasoned. I would definitely order this again. Pulled pork: Perfectly good pulled pork, but nothing spectacular. Sausage links: This was the only disappointing spot for me. My husband and I both tried the sausage and thought it was spongy and a bit dry. Sausage is one of my favorite things to try in BBQ places so that was a let down. "Ranch Beans": They need to rethink their beans. These were way too sweet with an odd herbal note that just didn't work for me. Beans should be simple, and these had too much happening. "Texas Caesar Salad": This was sort of like a wedge salad with spicy dressing and cheese on it. It was decent, not overly heavy. I'm glad I ordered it as a side over the potato salad. Potato salad: Mediocre potato salad. It was just sort of bland--not really worth ordering, IMO, but not outright terrible. "Salt and pepper potatoes": These were absolutely delicious. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfectly seasoned. Definitely give these a try and just skip the potato salad. The sauces: They had three available on the table, all were excellent. One tasted like a mustard-based sauce, one was a sweet fruity mild hot sauce, and one was a much spicier hot sauce with a smoky taste. The ambiance and service: The place has an industrial feel to it that is pretty common these days. The restaurant was crowded and fairly loud but the noise level wasn't that bad. The service was prompt and the staff was courteous. We had our 2-year-old son with us and they were great about expediting some food for him and getting him crayons. If you have kids, this place is an option for you. They even stored our stroller for us. The price was pretty much what I would expect for good barbecue in Boston: my tray was 24 and my husband's was 26, plus 8 dollars for the potatoes (which we all three shared). When I saw the results for MA, I finally had to come here to post my review for Sweet Cheeks. 24/7 said Sweet Cheeks is their #1 for MA. Whaaat?! I'm a local and have eaten here a few times. Ribs are my thing, but I do taste the other meats my spouse gets, and we have tried smoked meat in many places in New England and other states, including Austin, TX, and smoke in our own backyard. And we study technique. In our opinion, Sweet Cheeks is far from the best in MA. IMO, and my spouse's as well, that distinction goes to either BT's Smokehouse in Sturbridge or The Rusty Can in Byfield. Back to Sweet Cheeks. Over multiple visits, I have found their ribs to be generally dry and didn't really have much smoke flavor. Didn't see much of a smoke ring either. When they used to have smoked turkey drumsticks in their early years, those were pretty awesome. Smokey, tender and moist. But then they discontinued them! Ugh! I agree with the general consensus that they have fantastic biscuits, but my main concern when going for BBQ is the meat. I'll go to a bakery if I want the best baked goods. The other sides were good enough but nothing to write home about. So, those of you from out of state who are here for a Red Sox game, please know that many of us Bostonians do know what real BBQ is, and please excuse us for some media company claiming that our not best BBQ restaurant is our best. I was here for lunch a while ago and was severely disappointed. I received the poorest excuse for a brisket I have ever seen. It was literally room temperature and dried out, clearly being left over and reheated. I get that you might have the B team on for lunch service but this was so bad there is no way the privilege of paying an excessive premium is worth returning to for dinner. The biscuits are good and the sides are hit or miss depending on your personal preference. This place strikes me as more of a tourist focused, food factory, forced high turnover type place where dishes are mass produced and held at temperature lacking anyone with the willingness or ability to taste or inspect before plates go out. 2 stars instead of 1 because this used to be my favorite bbq place years ago and the sauce is still good. read more

Charged 5% for Kitchen Appreciation WITHOUT MY CONSENT. Went to Sweet Cheeks Q just before Christmas. Food was ok. Not exactly what I expected from Tiffani Faison. Chicken needed salt for sure. Won't be back mainly because of her sneaky way of having me supplement the low pay she gives her BOH staff. It's not my job to pay them, it's hers! She managed to sneak in and extra 5% on bottom of my bill which I did not notice until a few days later. I had already given the waitress 20% tip and don't appreciate this extra charge. It's called Kitchen Appreciation. WTF??? I'm sure as a famous Food Network star she can afford to pay her BOH a decent pay. Don't pass it on to unsuspecting customers. True rating is 3.5 stars. I've come here a handful of times and I have to say that the only reason I keep coming back is the oh so scrumptious pork belly and honey butter biscuits! Those items are a must!!! I've had the brisket, pulled pork, and fried chicken, all of which were good, but there was nothing special about them. There sides are also decent. The winner would definitely be the mac and cheese. Ranch baked beans is a close second. Not the biggest fan of their coleslaw since it's cut thick instead of fine, but that's just me. Waitstaff is extremely kind, but if you are sitting on the perimeter of the restaurant, you might get shafted when it comes to attentiveness because it can be harder for the waitstaff to access. Hosts are okay. One time I gave them my phone number to be put on the waitlist. Drinks: While I waited with my friends, I ordered and old fashioned and it was decent. Needed more bitters. My friends enjoyed their beer (Wiehenstephaner Pillsner- I think that's how you spell it)and cocktails. The cocktails were pretty strong. App: GET THE BUCKET OF BISCUITS (4). Oh my god. It is heaven on earth. If I was a drug addict, this would be my heroin. Haha. The biscuits are huge and pillowy like the look of a cloud. Served warm and buttery. The honey butter was sweet and loving. BBQ: The BBQ sauces were on the table but I didn't even need them because all of the meats were so delicious. My friends and I shared the monster wings with the hot shake (spicy salt), fried chicken, and 3 tray of brisket/pork belly/rubs. For sides we got the Mac and cheese, coleslaw, broccoli casseroli and potato salad. Pickles came with all the trays. Everything was spectacular. The proteins were tender and flavorful. I used to think this place was amazing but now I just think it's good. My reasoning is that I've been to BBQ places that were both better and more affordable. That being said, I will continue to go to an enjoy this restaurant (especially when the boss is paying for a staff lunch!) The best thing on the menu is definitely their signature biscuits with AMAZING honey butter. I don't usually order appetizers, but they're a must. As for meals, I've only ever had the pulled pork and the brisket, both of which are plenty tasty. After 4 trips, I've come to the conclusion that their sides just aren't that great. Most meals come with at least one and I always eat it reluctantly, usually not finishing it. I've tried the BBQ beans and the mac & cheese so far, both of which were rather blah. I think I've learned my lesson, the next time: biscuits and meat only! As for atmosphere, it's a little noisy and dark for my liking but appropriate for the style of food. I like that the food comes on trays like they do it in the south. The service was horrible I understand a two top is not top priority but the waitress forgot to put our order in for 10 minutes. I brought my siblings (17 and 18 in age) to Sweet Cheeks when they came to Boston because we were craving BBQ. The place was crowded for a random weeknight because there was a Red Sox game on. That meant the only seat available to us was in the beer garden. The hostess told me it was first come first serve and that you don't have to be 21 to sit there. Not wanting to wait, my siblings and I grabbed a high top. None of us ordered alcoholic drinks and immediately you could see annoyance spread across the waiter's face. I understand I was in the "beer garden" but that shouldn't mean I needed to order drinks in order to get the same service as other tables. Our waiter seemed to be super attentive to other parties who had ordered beers, constantly checking up on them and bringing them more drinks, while I had to chase him down a few times to even get our food order! Food was also bleh. Biscuits are still probably the best I've ever had especially with the honey butter. My siblings didn't like them too much so I ended up eating two for myself. While that sounds good, the biscuits were so big that I was stuffed after this. My brother got a tray with pulled pork and ribs with corn and watermelon salad as sides. My sister got the fried chicken tray with mac and cheese and potato salad. I chose to go with a prime beef brisket sandwich on Texas toast. My brother's meats were average, lacked seasoning and needed to be drowned in BBQ sauce. The watermelon salad was literally a slice of watermelon with cheese and herb on it. He said it wasn't a good combo and ended up scraping everything off to only eat the watermelon. My sister's chicken was juicy but lacked flavor even with the "hot shake." I had warned her that the mac and cheese here wasn't that good and she concurred when she had a bite. My prime beef brisket was actually pretty good and not as fatty as most other briskets. I took two bites and then gave the rest to my siblings because I was so full. Used to be one of my favorites but has now slid to the bottom of the list. As someone who's from Texas and has had BBQ from Texas, I know good BBQ when I taste it. And unfortunately, even for Boston standards, Sweet Cheeks is not the place for memorable BBQ. The biscuits were great and definitely worth the reputation, but the BBQ? I got the tray with 2 meats (brisket and pulled chicken) and they were both disappointing. The brisket looked and tasted like it was nearly all fat and the pulled chicken was dry and rather flavorless without any sauce. My partner who also had a tray of 2 meats agreed that the brisket was not a hit but did enjoy the pulled pork. Whenever we go on vacation (we are from the heart of Texas), I seek out BBQ places to try, just to see the different styles out there. I didn't have any expectations for this place, but my husband and I do like BBQ, and i'm easy to please. We had pork belly, pork ribs and brisket along with broccoli casserole, beans and mac and cheese. I really liked the pork belly and ribs but my husband wasn't a fan of the fatty brisket (he likes lean brisket which is not here). Been here twice and like others have mentioned it is almost always busy so there can be a long wait time but you can also try to find a spot on the stools if your fast. The atmosphere is very lively and when the weather gets nice they have a nice bar section outside. The staff are super friendly but can be hard to get a hold of especially if your sitting on the stools. ( I had the chicken, Mexican Caesar salad and mac and cheese and the lemonade) over all the food really good but it is pretty pricey. Definitely try the biscuits!! read more

Sweet mother of biscuits... No, that's what I'm trying to say -- order the bucket of biscuits! Wow they come to you warm and fluffy, ready to dunk into their housemade honey butter. Le drool. Our waiter wasn't really helpful with the suggestions but that's ok, I got you. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the meats. I will say that the ribs quite literally fall off the bone so definitely get those. The brisket is also a must. The pulled pork is a little on the dry side so make sure you're dunking that pig in BBQ sauce. The pickles are tangy and light. Mac'n'cheese is thicc. The coleslaw is coleflawed. Kidding. Considered by some to be the city's best, a large room on Boylston not far from Fenway undoubtedly filling the restaurant to capacity at least 80 days a year, it was just after opening that seats were found along the restaurant's left half nearest the kitchen and bathrooms, a young server certainly not Texan based on her accent providing excellent service just as well. More progressive than many modern 'Cue joints, the menu offering items like housemade Pimento Cheese and Pork Belly along with the standards, a wise way to sample a wide swath of options is by way of one of the "trays" or "combos," though Sandwiches come heavily loaded at a good price, too. Starting off with the aforementioned Cheese spread, not as spicy as some but better than average, the Crackers really are presented as a buttery sleeve of Ritz, the biscuits ooversized, soft and rich with buttermilk available at $3/each or at a discount for the basket. Offering hot or cold scoops with entrees, the Potato Salad pretty much par for the course while Mac n' Cheese is a rich blend with breadcrumbs baked to create a crunchy top, meats at Sweet Cheeks are a mixed bag with the fatty rich but not particularly smoky while the Pulled Pork is also not particularly flavorful without the addition of some lightly sweetened BBQ or tangy Carolina-style Vinegar Sauce. Impressed by the smoke ring on the rib, full flavors slipping effortlessly from the bone, chicken too is a good choice as the bird comes across juicy as thought pre-brined before smoking, desserts the menu's other high-point as the Banana Pudding is upgraded by caramelizing the fruit while the dinner-plate size Nutter Butter is almost cakelike in size as well as texture with a richness that puts not only the original but Thomas Keller's "Better Butter" to shame. read more

Anyone who thinks this is great or even good barbecue has obviously not had any real BBQ. First of all when you drive/walk up to a place and you can't smell wood burning, keep driving/walking. My brisket tasted old like it had been sitting around for days not hours. There was visible bark but no crunch. The ribs were flavorless and required me to drown them and the brisket more than once in sauce. Good bbq should stand on it's own and not need sauce. This stuff needed sauce just to make it edible. So all you guys with the YouTube videos raving about this place, try to get out more. There is a whole world of great food out there just waiting for you townies to try out. read more

Does he ever smile?" *No.* and the relevant one: - "You guys have seafood on lock down, but is there any good BBQ?" Often because the short list of well-known and patronized joints boasting slow and low proffer specialty plates that I can get behind, namely Redbones' catfish, Blue Ribbon's burnt ends, Soul Fire's smoked wings, M&M's ribs... Please add Sweet Cheeks to the tops, for two very particular dishes: the Great Northern Brisket, and those legendary biscuits. The former, smoked until disintegrating and generally portioned with an exquisite fat/meat ratio, I will only order the brisket from now on. Pork is solid option, too, iff'n you're not into the red meat, and I would kick that pig out of bed for eating crackers. But lordy, the smoke on that beef, with a little spicy and hot sauce is just (physically and emotionally) heart-breakingly delicious. The biscuits? Look man, I can either sit here and paint with words the euphoria you'll feel downing a bucket with exquisite honey butter, or you can just see for yourself. A note to management: Consider a take-away kiosk on your patio that sells individual biscuits to passers-by, a la lemonade stand. You can have a window dedicated to your biscuits and you will kill it. The cons are few: some sides are less than memorable, the lofty prices for plates include the Fenway tax (feeling thrifty? Lunch menu is 15-20% less for the same servings), and the cocktails - especially the Damn Yankee - have been perfect one night, and incredibly off-balance the next. Front of house sees a similar fluctuation: twice, the service was outstanding; twice, absent and seemingly annoyed. Still, dat brisket. Free refills on the sweet tea. I love ribs and can't seem to find any good BBQ places around Boston. I thought I was going to finally get some good BBQ ribs but sadly, I was not that impressed with Sweet Cheeks. They serve the entrees in trays and you have the option to choose different selections of meat and 2 sides. I tried the berkshire pork ribs (1/2 slab) and pulled pork. The ribs and pulled pork lacked the smoky flavor that I was looking for. The ribs were also a little dry. I had to dab it in a lot of sauce to add more flavor to the dish. Also, the BBQ sauces that they have on the side are also not that special. It was a little runny and I personally prefer a thicker sauce with my BBQ. The sides are also not that impressive. For the sides I got grits and cole slaw. The cole slaw was super chunky and tasted very onion-y. I wish there was more acidity and for it to be more thinly sliced. The grits however, was very delicious. It was warm and fluffy. It was comforting eating the cheesy grits. I would say that was the star of my meal. I also ordered some biscuits on the side. The biscuits are huge! They also serve it with honey butter. They biscuits were also really good. It was light and flaky and went really well with the honey butter. The place gets very crowded. 6 of us have two "far cheek trays": pork belly, brisket, ribs , pull pork. Everything is amazing. We also have buscuits, with the sweet butter is to die for. The drinks are massive - the non alcoholic drinks are 1L!!! And the Alcoholic drinks are 500ml and they are crazy good. On game night you would need to come early to get seats. read more

Braved the frozen tundra to eat here so you bet your bum I was looking forward to a meal here. The place was packed and unfortunately, there isn't really anywhere to wait but the tables clear pretty quickly and we sat at a high top table after waiting about 15-20 minutes. My friend and her fiance had been here before and were raging about the biscuits so we ordered those even before water. When the bucket came out, the aroma stung my nostrils and screamed my name. Quickly lathered on the honey butter while the middle was still hot and dove right in... actual heaven. If you don't order these with your meal, you're making a huge mistake. For the mains I ordered a tray of pulled pork with mac n cheese, also a must order according to my friends, and coleslaw. The pulled pork wasn't my first choice but I gave up red meat for lent, which was going on while I was in town, and like the good Catholic that I am I had to do what was right. Honestly, when it came out in front of me 1. It wasn't smothered in barbeque sauce and 2. it smelled briney like vinegar, the first bite came really quick. SO good! Was not disappointed in my decision. The mac and cheese was creamy, topped with crunchy breadcrumbs, awesome. Coleslaw was also great, perfect mix of vinegar and mayo. This was definitely one of the better BBQ experiences I've had short of going out west/south. I have been saving my review of Sweet Cheeks for the special honor of my 3000th Yelp review. Sweet Cheeks is a Southern style barbecue restaurant which is owned and managed by former Top Chef finalist Tiffani Faison. My sister competed with Tiffani on the inaugural season Top Chef in 2006 and they have remained in touch through the years. My friend and I decided to checkout Sweet Cheeks on our way to Fenway Park to catch the Red Sox. We arrived here around 4:30 PM on a sunny Saturday afternoon and we were promptly seated upon arrival and our drink order was taken. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes ($7) to start, which were deep fried hot and crispy (slightly greasy), served with a cool ranch dipping sauce. This was very good! For dinner, I went with the Berkshire Pulled Pork Tray ($18) served with 1 cold scoop & 1 hot scoop, soft white bread, pickles & onions. The pulled pork was moist and juicy and had nice smoky flavors. The potato salad was creamy and the potato chunks had a firm texture. The broccoli & cheese casserole was rich and filling. My buddy went with the Fat Cheeks Tray ($26) choosing 3 meats including pulled pork, brisket, & pork ribs served with 1 cold scoop, 1 hot scoop, soft white bread, pickles & onions. Each of the meats had good smoky flavors. The brisket was very tender with some fat attached. The ribs on the bone were slightly chewy. The carrot & raisin salad was very good, which had a good tangy flavor with shredded carrots, raisins, greens, & crumbled bleu cheese. The hot collard greens were pretty good. The portions of food were generous and we barely finished our dinners. We had to pass on the dessert. I would've ordered some butterscotch pudding if I saved room. The service was attentive with refills given on our soft drinks and the food arrived in timely order. After dinner, I asked our server if Tiffani was in the restaurant and mentioned my sister's name. Tiffani stopped by to say hello and asked us how the food was. We had a very enjoyable dinner in a very casual atmosphere. Quality BBQ joints are something Boston is really missing. I really liked their completely open kitchen. I came on opening night so I will excuse the slowish service but the staff was great. I was also babysitting my 2 year old niece and they were very accommodating and provided a booster seat. Here is what we had: Biscuits w/ Honey Butter - By far the highlight of the meal. I usually think that bread should be free but in this case I will make an exception Ribs - Some of the best ribs I've ever had. In full disclosure they are tied with the Texas Roadhouse in my mind for top ribs, this is a very high honor! Mac 'n' Cheese - Quality Mac, looks like it had a panko crust. Came in a decent sized mug. Pulled Chicken - This was very good as well. I would probably get this the next time I go in a sandwich. I was not impressed. I've come here handful of times, and I'd rather just pick at other people's dishes than eat my own. FOOD Biscuits: Yes, they're good. But for two people, four biscuits are over kill. I wish there was a way to order one biscuit, or half an order. I couldn't even finish one because it was so rich! Onesie ribs: These were so overcooked. The ribs didn't even fall off the bone, and one of the ribs was so rock hard that I didn't even eat it. They may keep the onesies off to the side, since this is more of a side order, but I still think the quality was terrible. Sides Carrot raisin salad: This was very refreshing. I really enjoyed this, and wish I could've just had a whole plate of this. Mac n cheese: I am a huge fan of mac n cheese, but I did not like this at all. The cheese was too creamy and thick, almost to the consistency of fake cheese or microwaved mac n cheese. The bread crumbs on top usually add a great consistency, but I didn't enjoy the two together. After a great long run along the Charles, my friend and I needed food, and needed food quickly. Since we'd run far enough that we didn't care too much about calories, BBQ seemed like the perfect spot, and it was. The spot definitely has a homey atmosphere. Good sized bar, friendly staff. We settled in at the bar and I ordered a canned beer, which the bartender just placed in front of me and cracked open. No glass offered, and none needed. If you're eating BBQ you should be drinking beer out of a can. Now after reading a couple of reviews that mentioned it, and seeing the guy next to me eating one, I went for the fried chicken. It was packed with flavor, but maybe just a touch salty. Salt was what I wanted at the time, so I was OK with that, but other times I might not care for it as much. Sweet Cheeks means gluttony. When I go there, I know that no matter how conservatively I order, I'm going to waddle out with my belly turgid, my pants straining, and my mouth happy. First things first: Drinks. I primarily order beer at Sweet Cheeks thanks to their interesting and well-selected draft beer list. There's always something good on there to try or an old favorite to revisit. I've also tried some of the cocktails, which are delicious but very small. The best bang for your buck and wet for your whistle is the craft beer. Now on to food. I used to order the biscuit appetizers, because YES. They come in a serving of four gigantic biscuits. I've always eaten at Sweet Cheeks as half of a pair, so the size of the appetizer meant my friend and I heroically attempting to eat two biscuits each plus our meals. Then I learned an amazing secret: You can order ONE biscuit a la carte. So now I am able to exercise moderation AND indulgence in one go. For the actual meal, I've only ever had one thing: The brisket tray. I think the brisket is pretty delicious, and haven't felt the need to stray. For sides, I like the macaroni and cheese and the farm salad (especially because the latter allows me to brag about my "healthy lifestyle with fresh veggies at every meal"). I think they might have dessert here, but by the time I've crammed all of the aforementioned goodness into my person I am no longer capable of contemplating it. Had been wanting to try this out for while, but was ultimately really disappointed food-wise. We got the fried okra as an app, with the large pieces of okra being inedible. On the upside: ranch sauce. The entree, bbq chopped brisket, was basically a bunch of bbq sauce. And by sauce I mean salt and sugar in water. Mac and cheese was watery, but wedge salad was solid. Highlight of the plate was the cucumber and onion. Bar menu was good, service was great. Food just too horrible for the price to overcome. Will not return. Stopped here after work one evening and took a seat at the bar. All the employees were quite friendly and and service was unbelievably fast! The decor fits the BBQ theme and is very fun. I started off with the Dollywood cocktail which was nice and refreshing, not too sweet. After examining the menu, I settled on a pulled pork tray with the broccoli cheese casserole and the coleslaw for my sides. I also got a single biscuit on the side. The whole tray was great and I even loved the coleslaw which I'm not usually a fan of. They have several sauces on the side; I went with the classic BBQ and enjoyed it a lot. My favorite items were definitely the cheese casserole (so warm and cheesy with crunchy cracker bits!) and the biscuit, which came with an incredible honey butter. I thought the portion sizes were more than adequate! I had plenty leftover, which my server kindly boxed up for me with an extra side of the sauce. It was enough to eat for lunch the next day, so it really ended up being two meals for me. That being said, as a native New Englander I don't have much exposure to authentic BBQ so I'm not sure how it stacks up on that level.
