Went yesterday afternoon. So glad other folks had explained the location because it isn't obvious. Got there about 4:30 and saw an open sign with no employee inside the kiosk. Stood there for a moment confused. Noticed a be right back sign just as a super friendly young woman came over and asked if we'd like to order. She left her break to serve us. The flavors were limited to dole whip and vanilla - which is what we were hoping to order anyway - and when she rang us up it was $10.50 for three upside downs. I told her that can't be correct - they are $5.95 each - she pointed to a nearby sign and told us about the promotion. What a treat! The non dairy ice cream was delicious and refreshing in a hot day and the waffle fish was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Can't wait to return!

I saw on their Instagram Thursday that they were doing a buy one get one free, so I thought that was the perfect time to give Chibi Chibi a try! I had the pineapple and vanilla swirl with fruity pebbles and custard filled taiyaki. My mom had the chocolate and coffee swirl with graham cracker crumbs and custard filled taiyaki. They added Pocky! One taiyaki is usually $5.95. You can also get soft serve in a cup or filled taiyaki without soft serve. Okay, now I'm a big fan of Somi Somi, but Chibi Chibi was surprisingly pretty comparable! The soft serve flavors were tasty, though not as creamy in texture. Their taiyaki was crispy outside and chewy - perfect! Their topping choices were more limited than Somi, but they still hit the spot. The portion was slightly smaller, however. Overall, tasty and convenient location for me! I'd return and recommend if you're in the area.

When is this spot ever open? I'm not sure how anyone is able to have any ice cream pictures because everytime I come it's closed. It's super hard to find parking too. Ugh!

Location is interesting, no signage outside. It is in the walkway to Marshall's. There's other little shops right outside Marshall's (jewelry store, threading). We got the 5 piece taiyaki for $7.95. Be aware that you have to buy 2 or 5 pieces, not 3 not 4. The custard filling was overpowering with imitation vanilla so I recommend getting nutella. It's not the best taiyaki I've had but it will fulfill that craving.

Very comparable to SomiSomi. I enjoyed the coffee soft serve, had a nice strong flavor. I thought the soft serve flavor was better than the competition, but the texture wasn't as smooth. I also liked that the Oreo wasn't too crushed, so I could actually taste it. The fish cone was about the same. Located inside the little entrance area to Marshall's. Their hours aren't great, wish they were open a little later.

This place is located inside the Marshall's shopping center. There's plenty of parking outside, in the shopping plaza. Once you walk in, you'll see this place on the left. They are open certain days, from 1pm-8pm. Staff was kind, and service was pretty fast, especially since it wasn't busy when we got there. There are not a whole lot of options like Somi-Somi but definitely fun flavors, which reminds me of Hawaii. I ordered an ahh-bong (upside down) with dole whip, oreo topping, and custard filling for my taiyaki. It was delicious, but definitely too much dole whip for one person lol. Because we love taiyakis, I also ordered 5 taiyakis, with custard, cheese, and pepperoni filling. Soooo good!! Will definitely come back here to get taiyakis!

Yum. I liked coming here before just for the dole whip but luckily now there's a place close to me to get taiyaki. The menu is simple but it works. While their soft serve is good, I seriously loved the ah boong. Their batter and technique is great. You get a nice golden exterior and an interior with just enough chew. Put together, you have the perfect treat for summer or any time you want ice cream. It's unfortunate they're open limited days because inevitably the kids or myself want one but have to wait until later in the week when they open (Thurs-Sun). Looking forward to trying out the savory ah boong offerings!

A new ice cream taiyaki place in Pocket? Finally! It's located in a small stall right in front of Marshall's in Lake Crest Village and they have a variety of taiyaki fillings such as custard and Nutella if I remember correctly along with different types of soft serves(dole whip, dole whip with vanilla, etc.). Though I wish there was a greater variety of choices, overall the experience was really enjoyable and I would come back. I got the ah boong with custard with dole whip vanilla ice cream topped with fruity pebbles and thought that the dole whip overpowered the vanilla but overall was pretty good! Four stars for value just because I think pricing is average($6) compared to most other taiyaki ice cream locations.

Located inside the Marshall's Florin entrance. Stopped by on Saturday, April 17th. They were working hard to practice making the taiyaki (fish waffle cakes) trying to promote their new business. Staff are professional and very friendly. They were giving away samples. The taiyaki was tasty. Warm (freshly made) and with a light crispy outside. Custard filling and their flavored soft-serve ice cream was the best! The flavors are super tasty. Pretty presentation! I can't wait to go back! The employees said they will be open on regular house soon. Currently they are hiring to fill new positions. She said they are open on Fridays and Saturdays currently. Looking forward to their grand opening!

Been wanting to try this place each time I end up at Marshalls and finally tried them yesterday. The girl who was working was very nice, helpful, and quick! When I went to somi somi before I was super disappointed in the quality (super messy and already melting when handed to me), but ChibiChibi was spot on. It looked amazing and soft serve was perfect consistency and taste was great! I got the vanilla & dole whip with fruity pebbles plus the taiyaki filled with Nutella on top. What I appreciate most is the soft serve is all dairy-free! Yay! It was perfectly sweet and the taiyaki was crunchy and chewy. Total was only $6. It was such a nice treat to have since it was pretty hot out! Will def get this again!

Delicious! The best soft serve I have had in recent memory. I got the chocolate and coffee and it was rich, flavorful, and creamy. I also got the ah-boong with Nutella and it was yummy. Just enough Nutella but not too much. I will definitely be back!

After a trip to the Nugget grocery store in South Sacramento, this is the perfect place to stop by. Before you go crazy in Marshalls. Besides some frozen yogurt, this is one of my favorite spots. I love softserve ice cream and they have the best selection. Although this street is a little bit different than most. Ice cream treats. It is delicious. There are different fillings that you can add to your ice cream. Plus they have other treats as well. I urge you to stop by.

It was a bit hard to find. Gotta enter where it says Marshall's and it's a tiny booth inside that is on your way to the inside entrance of Marshall's. The girl working was really nice and had the order ready fairly quickly. It tastes delicious :) no ice chunks in the snow cone & the additional $1 for condensed milk was worth it! Plenty of flavor and almost Hawaiian style melt in the mouth shaved ice. would come here again! read more

*Take special note on the business hours (Mon-Wed closed.....the many times when I had early-weekday urges to try this place but finding out that it's closed for the day.....) TL;DR: - Perfected taiyaki batter (light crispy exterior w/ satisfyingly chewy, almost mochi-like, interior) - Dole whip pretty much comparable to the one at Disneyland - Docked a star for the painfully-basic soft-serve ice cream flavor options overall (at the time that I visited, the matcha option was swapped with chocolate) ---------- I got the ahboong (fish-shaped waffle cone on top of soft-serve ice cream). Vanilla/dole whip swirl was my soft-serve ice cream choice and I had custard as the waffle filling (I actually don't really recommend this waffle/soft-serve flavor combo.....I already knew this ahead of time but I wanted to try the custard and the dole whip in one visit.....more about this in a bit). The taiyaki (the fish waffle) batter is pretty much perfected here. Light crispy exterior with a thick yet satisfyingly chewy, almost mochi-like, interior (ultimate ASMR experience). I really liked it a lot.....I might even consider the one here being better than the one at that *other* place that specializes in ahboong and also has a two-word-repeat business name. As for the custard, it's basic but gets the job done. Yes, I've had the dole whip at Disneyland, and, yes, the dole whip here is pretty comparable to the one at that theme park. I'm not the biggest fan of dole whip (it's a bit too tart for me.....if you're not in the know, dole whip is essentially soft-serve ice cream made with pineapple juice). I had the dole whip/vanilla swirl and I can't imagine how extra tart the full-blown dole whip here is. The dole whip's tartness doesn't go well with the taiyaki (ordering just soft-serve ice cream is an option here, but for ahboong-first-timers, I suggest pairing the fish with a soft-serve ice cream flavor that is more on the creamy-tasting side). Nonetheless, if you're missing on Disneyland's dole whip, your craving will be satisfied here. Overall pretty good ahboong. Stellar taiyaki. I docked a star because of the painfully-basic soft-serve ice cream flavor library (the matcha flavor option was swapped with chocolate at the time that I visited). Though, I suppose the basic variety of flavors is understood as the business stand is located right in front of the Marshalls entrance (I saw passerby confused with the whole ahboong concept). read more

08.28.2021 - Craving for soft serve, so I've decided that I get something from Chibi Chibi. I found out it means small or short. Chibi Chibi - taking home to share it - located on Florin Road by the Greenhaven area. It was located by Marshall's. I really enjoyed my Taiyaki filled with custard over Dole Vanilla soft serve. Could have been better. There is another Taiyako place in Elk Grove that was used as a comparison. The customer service was great but the lack in the ratings was due to the quality of the product. I ordered the nutella and oreo. The filling was great, the taiyaki was raw and i got a mouth full of raw batter- which is not ok. the flavors were limited, but i do not hold that against them as its a tiny kiosk. Please do better next time. read more

The hours say it closes at 8:00, but I read a review to call in advance, as it's supposed to be open, but the lights are off. It was only 6:08PM. I called and a girl answered, and there were people in the background too. I told her I called to make sure the business was open, and she hurried said they were actually closed and she hung up on me. They need to change their hours on here and provide correct hours on their website. read more

This place is pretty good! I love the flavors they have. I ordered the dole whip and vanilla swirl ahboong w/ nutella filling. I absolutely loved the dole whip flavor def would recommend. The cone was good but I guess I was expecting it to be a little more on the fresher/ softer side because that's how I've had them made before. Nevertheless, still so good and would recommend for it being a local spot! read more

Located in a stall next to Marshalls on Florin, so you can easily miss it as there is no sign in the parking lot indicating where this is located. If you are wondering what taiyaki is, it's basically a fish shaped snack with filling in it. You can either order a set of taiyaki or one upside down on top of a soft serve of your choice. They have different options to choose from but I got a graham cracker crusted taiyaki with custard filling over a matcha coffee swirl. For additional color there were two strawberry flavored Pocky sticks with it. On a hot day, this is a great place for an Instagram worthy snack. read more

So yummy, we got the dole whip and the dole whip vanilla swirl, perfectly cold and creamy. Nice little treat on a hot day - staff was super friendly and the menu has a lot of different combos to try. Looking forward to trying the fishy waffle cone next time, super cute! read more

It's not a huge deal and I understand I'm not at like some Michelin star place, but I do think the customer service could be improved. One thing I also noticed was that the customer who ordered behind us received their items before we did, which was a little annoying. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back, but if I'm in the area again, I'd be willing to give some of the other menu items a try.

When I got home, that shake lasted, probably 6 minutes, tops. Cover your children's ears and/or eyes: This shake was almost liquid crack. You may go back 20 minutes later with a friend. The tables did clear out by the time my order was out though. They keep it pretty cool inside, I had goosebumps by the time I was done with my bingsoo. There is limited interaction with the staff, but the person who called my order waited for me to walk to the counter to grab my order after calling my name and number and greeted me with a smile. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Macarons $2.95 each - Standard stuff. I got a Thai coconut cream and this is a flavor I haven't seen before and recommend trying it! In summary, highly recommend trying this place. Wushiland Boba is my new favorite spot for boba in Sac!…read more I found out about it from a recent Feed Mei Mei YouTube video, and of course I had to check it out asap. I looked up the origin and it turns out Wushiland is a spin off from the Taiwanese boba chain 50嵐 (if you speak mandarin, it says Wushi Lan). Located on Sutterville in a tiny strip mall with minimal parking right next to the Freeport area where there are plenty of good eats, some of which are my favorite places in Sac to eat at, Wushiland is in an optimal location. Bright, clean, and with a decent amount of seating, you have the option to order from kiosks or up front at the counter. The AC was blowing cold and a nice respite from the El Niño heat. The workers are friendly and drinks are made quickly. Be advised that the drinks are voluminous, especially if you're like me and ask for less ice. Coming from someone who considers Chicha San Chen their favorite Taiwanese tea chain (but alas we don't have it in Sac), the difference in quantity is huge. Obviously if you're looking for a refined style of tea chain, Wushiland doesn't compare, but still the taste of their teas shine through and there is a good variety for everyone's palate. The first time I tried their earl grey tea because I have been craving an earl grey for a while, and that was deliciously smooth. The mini boba were so fun to chew on, and I usually prefer them over the regular size. They provide a ton of boba here as well. The next time I had their yakult green tea and that was very refreshing indeed. Both times my husband went with fruit teas, and had nice remarks to say about both of his drinks. He also tried their new QQubes and their texture was very QQ (I had a sample). We will most certainly return to Wushiland, especially since it's so accessible. Wushiland choose a good area of Sac to post up shop because it's the currently the only boba drink shop (for now) near Hollywood Park/Land Park and very close to Sac City College. They're located in the corner of a strip mall type plaza. And parking isn't too bad. Overall, good drinks for a reasonable price and service is decent. They have a fun logo, too.
