I like this place. They're clean, staff is friendly enough, the yogurt is tasty. Very interesting flavors come out sometimes, and I enjoy trying to make my own flavors combos every now and then. Down stars for the toppings looking a little cruddy sometimes, and the staff not applying specials and discounts to the orders like they're supposed to be doing (when questioned, they don't recall or are not sure). I'm not sure why many of the reviews are rejoicing over "finally" having a froyo place in Quincy, when just down the street, connected to "The Healthy Kitchen" (within the "Fish N Chicken area) there has been a DIY froyo place for a few years now. Sweet Frog is definitely quite the experience - the decor is very cheerful, and not only do they sell froyo, but they sell all kinds of kawaii merchandise with the images of the cute Keroppi-esque frogs on them. I do like that this place has several unique flavors, and major props that they support local nonprofits (at least one time, they donated part of their proceeds to "Friends of the Homeless South Shore"). However, the froyo itself is quite watery, and hence the OP was not exaggerating when they said they watched it melt before their eyes while standing in line! I also really dislike that they use styrofoam cups...in the 15+ different froyo chains I've been to, I've never seen any use styrofoam...not very environmentally conscious. Lastly, Sweet Frog is a chain, so I'd rather support the local Quincy froyo shop, at Healthy Kitchen, if I"m looking for some place around Quincy. Personally, if I want to support a chain froyo shop that's int he South Shore, Red Mango in Hingham and Braintree win my vote for better quality froyo texture and overall flavor. read more

Very odd place. If you want a sample, you have to go find a staff member and they awkwardly pour a tiny sample and hand it to you as it's touching their fingers, gross. And then they stand there and stare at you while you try that sample and then it's very awkward to ask for another. So you are kind of stuck. Otherwise it's the same as Red Mango. read more

Love the color theme (hot pink and bright green). Cute décor - great assortment of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings. Three different cup sizes - though it's sold by weight (so doesn't really matter). Tried the chocolate, strawberry and peanut butter topped with mango boba bursts & peanut butter chocolate. YUM! This place is awesome! I don't get frozen yogurt often and never really enjoyed it until now. They constantly rotate their flavors so there's always something new to try...at the same time they keep all the standard flavors for the people craving something original. Sweet Frog also lets you put on your own toppings..which may be a good or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. I always end up with wayyyy to much ice cream and toppings...but thats what I love about it! Its great that you get to customize exactly how much you want of everything. read more

So happy this place is about a mile from my apartment! The best friend and I walked to sweetFrog earlier this week and each got a nice size froyo with delicious toppings for around $8. Wallet friendly, gluten-free friendly, and definitely kid friendly. The only downside was it was really packed when we were there, so we waited in line to pay for about 5 minutes after getting our froyo. And of course we couldn't eat the froyo, because they weigh it to charge you, so we just watched our treats start to melt. It wasn't a huge problem, but it is a little bit of a bummer if they are busy. Bottom line...try and hit it at an "off" time, get yourself some dessert, and pile on those toppings. My pregnant self is currently obsessed with fro yo and this place definitely hits the spot. Slightly cheaper than other frozen yoghurt spots and with an ample choice of fruits and chocolate toppings. We've been here twice. Visit #1 was empty, #2 was a busy Sunday night. Both times we had an awesome experience! Clean space, good service, tasty froyo, and a solid price ($.053/oz). This place is so clean. Consider that it's all self-serve, and how sloppy a froyo dispensing machine can be, and also how unattractive a bucket of crushed up Oreos can seem if it goes unattended. None of this is an issue here; they're always sweeping up and keeping things neat. When you walk in, you invariably find yourself standing, staring at all the options for froyo. Someone has always come up to me to offer to grab me a sample of whatever I want to try. Most importantly, the stuff is good. I got cake batter and cookies and cream froyos, and both were great. The toppings were fresh and they had insane variety. Even big chunks of name-brand stuff like Girl Scout Samoas, or E.L. Fudges. Two people, ~16 oz Froyo with crazy toppings, came to $8.50. Probably gonna be back a lot this summer. read more

My family have become regulars here. The kids love getting samples of all the different flavors and their own toppings. The staff is always very patient with them and pleasant. They offer dairy and non dairy flavored frozen yogurt and tons of toppings and syrups. They offer a stamp card where you get a free regular after purchasing 10 which is a good deal for our family of 6! read more

It was my first time here yesterday and I was quite impressed. The place is small, cozy, and cute. Definitely a spring/summer dessert place. I had cookies and creme and it was delicious. I can't give it a full 5 star because although the toppings for the yogurts were plenty in chocolate varieties, they lacked a variety of fruits. I only saw pineapple, strawberry and kiwi...I was a tiny bit disappointed. I wish they had more fruits. I would definitely be back to support this cute local business. Love this place - so glad Quincy finally has a froyo place of its own & I don't have to go into Hingham. It's a "do it yourself" kind of place which is waaay better than Pinkberry. I'd rather select what I want on my own. The prices are good, the flavors are awesome, the staff is so nice & helpful, and the decor is great. Plus, they have a loyalty program. Download the app, have them scan your QR code when you go in to activate it, and get 5 free "punches" right off the bat. I bough two cups yesterday & had the 5 free so now I only need 3 more to get a free cup (10 punches to get a free cup). Awesome! read more

There are a ton of frozen yogurt places popping up all over the place. However, I like this one the best. The seating is open and comfy. There is a hug selection of flavors. and Three different size containers. All still too big for my taste but better than most yogurt bars. The toppings are monitored and covered. Worth the drive to West Quincy! The service is great. Thanks to the cute gals behind the counter for the warm greetings and free samples! Yes, the froyo is a bit watery as another Yelper specified, but it is not too sweet like that of other froyo places. Thank you so much for appealing to someone who is not a natural sweet tooth. The taste of the froyo is no surprise, chocolate tastes like chocolate, strawberry tastes like strawberry. Why is this not the case elsewhere? Another giant plus in my book is that this is by WEIGHT! I can control what I put into this! I always hate watching someone make my froyo cup, watching them add way too much of something and then way too little of something else. I LOVE SWEET FROG! I'm sensitive to dairy and they always have the BEST non dairy flavors. AND the amount of toppings they have is amazing. The owners are also locals and graduates of Eastern Nazarene College, just down the street. I've been a fan of their Marshfield store for some time but I am sooooo happy they are now in Quincy! I went with two of my friends and their son. All 4 of us got really bad diarrhea. I don't know if they use an artificial sweetener in their product. All 4 of us got multiple different flavors. We still all got very upset stomachs. We are regular Dairy Freeze customers, which is right across the street. We are going back to Dairy Freeze. Sorry Sweet Frogs. Delicious frozen yogurt with fresh fruit and candy toppings. Best of all, unlike Pinkberry, you dispense your own frozen yogurt and select your own toppings, so you can get exactly what you like. At Pinkberry the frozen yogurt and toppings are equally good, but the servers are more geared toward keeping the line moving than catering to special requests. Also sweetfrog charges by the ounce so you can pile it on, while Pinkberry has set prices so the servers are reluctant to give you that one last blackberry. Decent selection of yogurts, though I feel like every time I go, no matter what time of day, several machines are empty. There's usually only one kid working, even at peak hours, which seems silly... Great selection of toppings including fruit, candy, cereals, syrups, etc. every time I go, it seems to be more and more expensive. Love the froyo here. They have signs that clearly mark food allergens (gluten free/dairy free, etc.). My favorite flavors are peanut butter, tart, and vanilla. They have great toppings too including berries, mochi, sprinkles, assorted cookies, and chocolates. read more

The location-- in a small strip mall set back from Adams St. near the Milton-Quincy line -- is inconspicuous, but Sweet Frog is worth finding. Excellent frozen yougurt. I especially recommend the cappuccino, as refreshing as a not-overly-sweetened iced coffee. The young staff are well-trained and pleasant. Fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries) were available as toppings on my last visit. A great addition to the neighborhood. read more
