What a great Thai restaurant in the South Hills! And on top of that, so many vegetarian options/accommodations. The waitress was so accommodating to my group's dietary restrictions as well. The fried tofu was delicious as was the fresh roll. I ordered a Thai iced tea, but it was a bit too sweet for me. The others in my group ordered coconut juice, which was refreshing, and lychee bubble tea with lychee popping pearls, which was delicious. The 3 curries we ordered, green, panang, and mussaman curry, tasted great! Because we got some appetizers beforehand, we weren't able to finish our curries. I work long hours and get off late so everytime I try to hit My Thai they are no longer providing dine-in service. So then I found they actually open until 9 but close down their dining room at 8 pm. I have called in my order as well as tried the online ordering method. I have to say, I like their flavors and at a decent price. Pad see ew - noodles are cooked right and slightly chewy, how I like it. The sauce and spice are really balanced and not too salty. Crab Rangoons - thin and crispy shell and the filling is more savory and not ultra sweet like many places. Papaya Salad - fresh, crisp and one of the better papaya salads I have had in a long while. Pretty good food served here. I have tried better Thai food, but it's not bad. Prices are quite reasonable and portions are good too. I tried the classic mango sticky rice and the pad see ew without any protein. The pad see ew, which I ordered in a 1/10 spice level, was still a bit spicy. It had a slightly bitter flavor to it, and I am more used to the sauce being a tad bit sweet, which it really wasn't here. The noodles were cooked well, though. Nice and chewy, thick. They include an adequate amount of vegetables, including cabbage, carrots, and broccoli. I would have liked the broccoli to be cooked a tad more. Not bad, but not the best noodle dish. The mango sticky rice was quite good, though. Mangoes were clearly super fresh and sweet. They don't include that much sticky rice, which is usually my favorite part. Lots of sweet coconut milk. Also, a little carrot flower on the side. All in all, pretty solid for $5. In general, this is a solid Thai spot. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but it did the job. As a traveler I depend on accurate reviews to make my selections of food choices. I do like to try a variety of foods, and sometimes, out of the way places. Thai, is one of my favorite foods and I was not disappointed by the Curry Duck. It came out perfect temperature and the flavor was amazing. The service was awesome. I never had to wait for someone to check on me, and they were very cordial and always smiling; that's a huge plus for me. Delicious Thai food in the community! Came here during the week and there was no wait for a booth. I was a bit worried when I was one of 4 people in the restaurant, but the food, staff, and atmosphere was wonderful. The menu is full of all your favorite Thai dishes, providing a bit of variety of options, whether you want curry, noodles, or rice dishes. I ordered the Cashew entrée. It includes carrotts, broccoli, onions, cashews and your choice of protein. I chose chicken, which was tender and seasoned well. Portion sizes are huge for the price of the entrée. Your dish is packed with ingredients, not just rice filler, and full of flavor. I would have liked it to be a bit spicier, I ordered a level 2 out of 5, but it still had a bit of a kick. My favorite part was the extra sauce included in the dish that soaked into the rice when I added it to the dish. Overall, a great experience and delicious food. Everytime I've gone during lunch hours 11:30-3, it's never really busy. This place is more common for take out orders. The restaurant itself is smaller and it's nothing fancy but with that being said EVERYTHING I've ever ordered has been good. Basil leaf chicken is my favorite rice dish. I made it spice level 3 out of 5 and it was perfect! The lunch special comes with a spring roll (it was ok) and salad. The salad dressing was really yummy. I believe this place is family owned and operated. They have their toddlers in the back part of the restaurant where it's blocked off with a room divider and for the most part of my meal they were quiet. The service is always good and they are really friendly! For $11+tip it's not a bad lunch option if your in the area but I wouldn't drive out of my way to get it. read more

Pad thai was bland, and the masaman was sour and tasted old. I'm thai and this is probably the worst thai food i've ever had. Then when asking for a refund because the food wasn't up to par. They wanted me to waste 30 minutes just to drive back and show them proof that the food was bad. If you are that insecure about how your food, how it taste and won't listen to the customers opinion or believe them, that is just horrible customer service. Worst $42 ever spent. Another thing was they didn't even know I was Thai, so they wanted to go back and forth in Thai, talking to eachother not expecting me to understand. Holy Cow Batwoman! Shazam!!! Starting off with the My Thai sampler platter consisting of three shrimp and pork steam dumplings, chicken satay, and fried spring rolls with peanut butter sauce traditional cucumber sauce, and a ginger soy sauce. The steam dumplings were Superior than expected. You can tell these were made in the back by hand not frozen and shipped here. Even the spring rolls are handmade here on the site you can tell from the freshness of the ingredients. This is really a great dining experience. If you read any of my other reviews you'll know that Thai is my favorite food so I tend to review it more harshly than other restaurants and I have to say the appetizers are making my mouth water for the entree of Pangnang Curry. On a scale of 1 to 10 spiciness I ordered a three, and WOW, it's spicy. But not fishing a gallon of milk spicy, just wrote to open the palette. The sauce and the vegetables are absolutely delicious. The Asian fusions are good too, but don't have the variety and the proper spice scale to compare to My Thai. I was forced into My Thai by my daughter on Labor Day, sort of. We had just got done with shopping, and the evil twin had a taste for something Asian. This would be our second time eating here, I just never got around to reviewing our first trip. We stopped in around 3, and the restaurant was empty, but we were warmly greeted by Fawn our waitress who sat us next to one of the large windows looking out onto W. Liberty Ave. The menu isn't jam packed or confusing, daughter ordered Pad Thai, and I got the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with seafood added. We both chose heat level 4, but ended up needing a few extra spoons of Thai chili, and hot sauce. The Pad Thai looked really good, with tofu, and a mixture of vegetables. Daughter said it wasn't salty (like some other places), or mushy. My Tom Yum Noodle Soup, was flavorful, and had a nice mixture of seafood (octopus rings, mussels, shrimp and pieces of fish. The broth was a blend of fish sauce, lemongrass, and or beef broth. Sweet, savory, and tangy if that makes sense. Overall yumminess, the noodles were rice noodles, nicely chewy and the bok choy bright green with freshness. We shared the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango for dessert, just let me eat sweet sticky rice with coconut milk every day. The service was friendly, and the food hit the spot. read more

I was really craving Thai food yesterday, and both of my favorite places were closed. I quickly tried searching for a new place to go, and I definitely was not disappointed with my choice of My Thai. I wanted to play it safe by ordering the pad thai for my first time here, and I ordered spicy level 4/5. They are true to their spicy level, and I was ecstatic about it because many other places don't add enough spice. Next I got an order of crab rangoons, which are my favorite food in the whole world. They were great! They were probably some of the best rangoons I have tried in a while, and the sauce that came with it made them even better. I've said it once, and I'll say it again: Thai food is my favorite thing in the whole world. I am constantly trying to find new places to try out, and I'm really happy I found this place. I'm not sure if it quite measures up with my other two favorite Thai places, but it is definitely up there on my list now. Cute place right on Rt 19 in Dormont. This place was very clean inside, with a lot of tables, and a nice size full bar. I don't get to eat Thai a lot, so I don't really know what its all about. I'm into trying new things, but I never know where to start with Thai food. I told the waitress about my dilemma- she was so kind and helpful and really explained the menu. She was very knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu! I love spicy food, so I decided to try the Panang Curry (one of her suggestions) with vegetables. I really liked it! The sauce was creamy and packed with flavor. My friend got the green curry, and that however, I did not like.
