She definitely left my mind at ease with her warm personality. Not only was the donut tower GORGEOUS but it was also delicious. The flavors I chose were the strawberry crunch, banana pudding, fruity pebbles and the Oreo. These were all delicious! All my guest and I were very impressed with everything. I contacted Morie by email late in the evening and within a few hours she had responded. She was able to fill my specialty order at the last minute and pulled it off wonderfully! Now, let's talk cupcakes! These cupcakes were amazing!! The "apple of my eye" was extraordinary!! The detail that she put into them is unlike any other...the little apple bits inside the actual cupcake, a wonderful surprise! Now, Morie was kind enough to bake a flavor that is not on her menu at my request. The "pineapple upside down cake".....with the pineapple on the bottom...yeah, I know, typical for an full size cake but definitely pleasantly surprised to find one on the bottom of the cupcake! I am so glad to have found That's So Morie and will definitely be referring her to my clients, friends, family and colleagues. The owner was extremely professional and wanted to make sure my vision came to life. We discussed via email what I wanted and I even shared a few pictures that would assist in the decorating aspect. I made an initial deposit to proceed with the order. In the mean and between time before the party, I decided I should probably taste their goodies. I went to the Crofton Farmers Market, where SBL usually is a vendor. I ordered a few cupcakes and decorated cookies. Whew! They were all excellent! I knew I had chosen the right bakery for my specialty cookies. Side Note: they have a chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake that's to DIE FOR! On the day of the tea party, I stopped by the business to pick up my treats. Fun cake pops, chocolate chip and sugar cookies were all in my order. SBL is a home based bakery, so I picked my order up from the family home. The woman that met me at the door was so nice. Just a pleasant encounter from start to finish. The cookies themselves were absolutely perfect! My vision came to life! They not only looked beautiful, they were very delish! They've been a DMV staple for years and have built a solid reputation in the community. They've since moved into a much larger space, but they're still in Laurel and in the same shopping center. The new location is bright, clean, and has plenty of room to browse their cakes and baking supplies. The cake and cupcakes were fresh, moist, and exactly what I expected. Their designs are always top-tier, and more importantly, they taste just as good. The staff was friendly, and my order was ready on time.
