This cute roadside ice cream place is kept up with meticulous care by its owner. Everything from the carefully hung pennant banners to the crisply painted pink and blue decor shows the thoughtful detail that the owner has put into this place. I appreciate that. When I was in college, I lived not too far from here and this quickly became our regular meet up and hang out spot because we were too broke to go out and too bored to stay at home. So, we would order some delicious ice cream and watch the cars go by and just talk - that was a great summer! My standard order has always been a small vanilla soft serve cone with chocolate sprinkles. Crazy amounts of soft serve flavors... blackberry, peanut butter, creme de menthe, amaretto, caramel, peach, cheesecake, just to name a few.. But for me, it's all about the vanilla cone dipped in that hard cherry shell. NOM. Oh and hey, they've got like ten flavors of frozen lemonade. This spot is always packed so beware if you don't want to wait in line. Prime location on mineral spring with several picnic tables that fill up quick. Used to be my ice cream spot due to convenience in location. From what I remember, the strawberry was bright pink and didn't tase like real strawberry but still ok. read more

The best flavors, serving sizes and a nice family run place. They are always polite and thankful for the business. They do accept cards now with a min purchase. Lots of seating perfect for a nice wall with the puppies with a old fashion twist come as a reward. read more

Preface: I'm an ice cream freak. And when it comes to soft-serve in particular, I've been known to scour an area, like literally - the whole state of RI... to find the best places so that I can indulge in the summer goodness wherever a nice Summer weekend day may take me. As many of you know, some places that are good can have some pretty serious lines. In some of those places, you're herded like cattle up to the window. Okay, I can live with that, but I would prefer not to have to. In fact I'd prefer no lines at all - which is the risk I'm taking in writing this review... This place is right near me - literally I could walk there in a few minutes. Years ago, I tried it and I thought it was overpriced and not that great. So most of the time I have gone to either Lincoln Creamery, The Ice Cream Machine in Cumberland, or to Eskimo King in Seekonk if I had the urge. But a couple of weeks ago, I decided to give them a shot, since it seems like there are never any lines there. I figured, what's the worst that could happen? A mediocre experience? The loss of a few dollars on sub par ice cream? Two minutes of my time??? So I went there, ordered a small soft-serve chocolate cone, and dove in - fully expecting the same experience as before. Not. OMG. Not only is their ice cream as good if not better than some of those places, but the prices are great as well! And the proprietor is a nice person which makes the experience all the better. And No Lines. I had posed the question - "What's the worst that could happen?" The answer is... inches on my waistline! They're TOO good and TOO close to home! *******BONUS******* A lot of their hard ice cream actually comes from the Ice Cream Machine in Cumberland. Don't want to drive to Cumberland and wait there in line for your fav flavor? It just might be here at this great little shop. My wife can't get enough of their Peanut Butter Cup Frozen Yogurt, so she agrees that it's a dangerous place to have this close to our home.
