However, the customer service during our most recent visit, which was our first visit of the season, was surprisingly rude, which leaves me wondering if something at Sundaes has changed, hence the two star review. We brought a group of 12 here on Friday night, 5/15/26 at about 7:15 and the employee who took our orders was polite and wrote everything down. We paid for our order all together. It wasn;t very busy when we arrived, but it took quite a while, nearly 10 minutes, for us to receive the first of the 12 ice creams, and then the rest of the order came out little by little. By the time we left, there was a line of about a dozen people. When my ice cream was ready, it didn't have the sprinkles I had ordered. I asked if sprinkles could be put on, and rather than simply adding sprinkles, the employee (manager?), went and checked the paper order, stated that sprinkles weren't written down and that she would have to charge me for the sprinkles. I asked about it again, citing our order was large ($88), and couldn't they just put the sprinkles on that they forgot to include. She replied repeatedly stating that doing that would be against company policy. Hmmmm....... Really? If that's the case, Sundae's policy is pretty poor. This exchange of words left me with a very bad feeling, but as I was with a large group including several kids, I didn't press it any further. Why in the world would a company refuse something that costs pennies to the business, instead making the customer go through the trouble of cashing out again, especially when it was the business' mistake? More ice creams from our order continued to come out at a very slow pace. One ice cream was made with the wrong flavors, and one was forgotten and by the time we received it, most of the other people in our party had already finished eating. At some point as we waited for our ice creams the "manager" called out to me to ask if I wanted rainbow or chocolate sprinkles (I guess the company policy had changed?), but at that point it was too late, she had already set the tone. While the ice cream at Sundaes is fine, I would strongly suggest that the owner of this business provide training to their staff on customer service, and how refusing to honor a request for forgotten sprinkles without incurring a new charge can lose a customer (or in our case a large group of customers) for a long time. Also, the wait time needs to be speeded up. Maybe more staff is needed? With so many other ice cream places within a short drive of Sundae's. I doubt that we'll be back given our most recent experience here. Moose Trackers in Scituate, Gigi's Scoops in Smithfield, or The Parlor Creamery in Cranston are all great places and will get our business the next time our group goes out for ice cream.

My friend had the peach ice cream. They do have a lot of flavors, different cones, and sundaes, so lots to choose from. A small was $5 and I think each scoop after $1 + more. They do have a big parking lot in the back and some spots on the side. They also have a few tables in their store away from the sun but looking out where you can enjoy your ice cream.

Embarrassingly, we got there 10 minutes before they opened. We camped in the parking lot. When it was time to go in, I already knew what I was getting. Chocolate mint ice cream in a waffle cone. First of all, it is the best ice cream flavor ever created. Chocolate and mint ice cream with Oreo cookie pieces. What else could you ask for?? And then their waffle cones and made fresh and they are oh so good. The service is always great, and they now take credit cards!! I cannot recommend this place enough. The only downside is that they do not have any dedicated seating, inside or outside. There are some planters of sorts that you can sit down on. Once I sat on one for three hours for a first date - can't say I recommend that. But if you want good ice cream, come here! (Yes, it is better than the Barn in my opinion).

Apparently, this place is home to the donut bomb ($7.99) which is like a donut sandwich, where they stuff ice cream of your choice into two halves of a donut (no hole) and top it with toppings. There are also some pre-crafted combos like a peanut butter, oreo, M&M, and more. With my coupon, I was told I could upgrade to the donut bomb for $3 (the coupon holding a $4.99 value for a single scoop). Since it felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity, I went for it and decided on the peanut butter one. My mom ordered the caramel single scoop ice cream cone. I did not spend too much time reading the menu, which I regretted since it turned out the peanut butter ice cream is a chocolate based with sheets of peanut butter scattered throughout instead of a peanut butter base with peanut butter sheets. But I did love how it came with tiny peanut butter cups on top. For presentation purposes, the whipped cream did look nice under the donut bomb, but for practicality purposes, it would've been nice to have the whipped cream on top. The donut was not too sweet, and was very soft, but I felt it took away from the flavor of the ice cream. I loved the peanut butter sauce on top as well. Overall, I would've preferred a traditional cone, but I applaud them for having something different on the menu that most people seem to love. The caramel ice cream was very delicious and generously packed with caramel elements. The staff were extremely kind. For a mere $3 I could upgrade my free scoop to a divine concoction of donut, ice cream, fudge, sprinkles and my choice of topping (strawberries for me). She also informed me of their Scoops 4 Vets program. Donate an extra $2 on your order and a vet will get an ice cream for free. And who am I to deny anyone, much less a vet, some ice cream? Especially Hershey ice cream, which is what they sell here. When ready, I am handed my glorious treat. It was perfectly nestled in a container on a bed of whipped cream. I spent some time getting a photo and then admittedly I got distracted by my phone for a few minutes. That was my first mistake. The second was not using the spoon I grabbed, instead thinking I forgot to get one, when in reality it was under my container in my lap :*( I attempted to pick this up and eat it like a sandwich, even though all signs pointed to USE A SPOON. Probably the messiest ice cream of my life but 100% delicious. As I kicked myself for my foolishness, I was able to console myself a little by reminding myself that I can always come back and try again.
