I came here 2 days in a row. I REALLY WAS DYING TO TRY, i love central Asian fusion food because I come from that background and wanted to try and support the business. The first day I came, food came before the drinks which was abnormal but the worst part is that it took more than 30 minutes for the drinks to come. But wait theres more :') I went back the next day with a friend because I liked the food and wanted to give it a second chance. Got the same female that I gave my order to the first time. My ENTIRE order came almost an hour later. It was so awkward because, like the first time, everyone else got their food and drinks before us even though they came way after us. It felt really bad and was kind of embarrassing to be forgotten like that sitting there just waiting while people that came later than us are eating. She came back to retake our order after 40 minutes (beforehand she came with someone else's order). They gave us a free honey cake for the second time i went (nothing was given on the first order and we had to rush out cuz we paid for street parking) but it doesn't make up for waiting almost an hour for drinks and food esp cuz we tipped (you pay before you eat). Overall it really sucks because the food was great, the people are VERY NICE but I couldn't enjoy it because of how upset we felt waiting that long for my food and being forgotten for the second time. I never experienced that before lol I'm not sure why no one is talking about this issue here, I can't be the only one. Very nice staff at the counter. My first visit here and it turned out to be a really good visit. The person at the counter asked if it was our first visit and took the time to explain the menu to us which was great. We ordered the #1 Bagel Sandwich which turned out to be the star of the visit. It was nicely made and the Munster cheese was great with the egg and hash brown combo in it. The beef crepes were good for the first piece but after that it felt too much but that was great to split so we could try more items. The Solyanka soup was good but better when adding the lemon. The bread that came with the soup was the only down side since it came cold. I would have loved for it to be warm to go with the soup. The Cheese danish was nice an flaky and they brought us another Danish on the house with Tomato, cheese and a basalmic drizzle on it which tasted great. Overall great experience and talking to the owner I'm assuming, they are from Kazakhstan and their cuisine is a mixture of Chinese/Russian influences and at first the started as a bakery but started adding food items when customers asked for more. The bakery items I ordered 1 of each that were in the display cases but with trying several dishes we took them home and are waiting to eat them tonight. They do look good so we are hoping they taste as good as they look. I don't get too many mornings/afternoons off work so this was a nice quiet place to relax and just have some good food. I've spent hundreds of dollars and hours of my life in their restaurant and the way they treat certain customers is unfair and hateful. If they don't like your appearance / race / religious garb, they will make you wait for 45 minutes for your food. I've seen them do this to certain people dozens of times, no matter if the place is busy or not. They'll be insanely rude to you and make you wait forever. This is in effort to make sure you never come back, because they don't want someone like you in their restaurant. Well, Sweet Moon. You got what you wanted. Lovely place! The interior design atmosphere is so welcoming and cute. This was my first visit and I can't wait to get back in there again. I ordered a potato waffle, breakfast plate, and syrniki regular sandwich coconut. Everything was delicious. The potato plate comes for some reason with an extra 2 Toast which I didn't get why, it already has a potato waffle as a toast. And only one poached egg. The whole time I felt like they forgot to add one more poached egg in there. Because there should've been 2 poached eggs. Syrniki is good but not quite like they are supposed to be. The farm cheese inside is overly cooked and originally they shouldn't be overlooked. Coconut syrniki is not much different from original ones. I've got also to go to almost all of their pastries. Let m tell you they do the best Napoleon cake! It's amazingly delicious. I also loved pistachio cake with raspberries and milk cake is so so good. Merengue was also decent but too sweet as well as pistachio cake. Macaroons were too sweet too I with they sweeten them less and they would've been perfect. We walked in today and the cafe was packed and people were waiting to order. Since we knew that we were going to be having our food there, my kids found a table and sat down while I waited in line to order. This cafe is not a sit down restaurant where the orders are taken tableside, we have always seen it be first come first serve. As I waited to order a couple in front of us started to complain about the tables are being taken instead of trying to get a table. The server came to the table my kids were at and asked how many we were and made them get up and leave because there was a bigger party in front of us. There were three of us, and two (melanin challenged) people in their party. The table was given to them. I found the situation very frustrating since we got to the table first to ensure that we could actually have our food for dining in and not getting our food and then looking around for a place to sit.
